No, it should not be official language because India is mixed up of many tribes and communities every tribe, community speaks their own language from where they brought up. Hindi is speaking only in few states of the country but most of the other states speak their own communal language. So, it will be difficult for non-hindi speaking people if it will be made as an official language.

Hello everybody, According to my point of view, Hindi should be the official language in India, because in most of the states in India people speak in Hindi language to express themselves. We know that in every country, the language in which most of the people speak is become their official language, like 'German' for Germany, 'Italiano' for Italy, 'Russ' for Russians etc. But India has no official language, here most of the people speak Hindi for local speaking. Although English is must be needed to keep relation with foreign countries but as most of the people here speak in Hindi, and most of them don't speak in English, so obviously Hindi should become the official language in India. - Thank you.

Hi.

India is a colorful country because there are different types of folks and festivals so as languages. But Hindi is one the popular language among all because 70% of the people speak, understand and communicate in Hindi because they belong to rural areas. On the other hand, English is also very popular in India as well as in most of the countries so if we have to billed relations to other countries we have to learn English as well as other languages.

But if I conclude so I will say that as we are Indian so there must be any Indian language should be the national language.

Hi everyone,

Though being a regular speaker of Hindi and being known to the fact the Hindi is our national language I believe Hindi should not be the official language. We should consider the South Indians as well. Majority of them don't know Hindi. It will divide the north Indians from South Indians and bring more differences. There must be a uniform language with unites us and not divides us. Also, it should be made sure that it reaches the poor ones as well. Thank you.

Yes, Hindi along with English can be the official language of India. Official language doesn't mean it is the national language of India. So people don't need to worry if they don't know Hindi. Hindi is spoken by almost 45% of the total population of India. Hence, it is the most widely used language of India. Many south Indian languages also take a word from Hindi language. Atleast, it can be our official language.

As a nation, we need a language that can unite us and we can understand each other in a better way. This can be done by the Hindi language.

Thank you.

Suppose I know only one language, so in order to go other part of the country or state of the country. I have to learn English, and English is a language which we have to learn by giving money to school or institution because every government schools teaches in their own language. I think one who. Who doesn't know how to talk in English, suppose to stay in their respective state. There is no link language, today I am in other part of country, here auto driver or grocerer know their own language, and I have to spend my whole life for this central government job. How would I survive. I feel crying and I cried. What to do. In my own country I feel like foreigner. So government should take initiative to teach each and every Indian to learn either in Hindi or English to be mandatory. I think it should be Hindi because form this we known to be Hindustani. Let learn as link language. So we can move to any part of India happily and make India World strongest economy. People make good economy of any country Not English language. For learning English whole nation have to learn but for Hindi at least half nation required. After learning language give money as reward.

According to my view, Hindi should be compulsory language in the Indian offices Because in India many people don't know English and many other languages, for example, a person of Haryana don't know south Indian languages and a people of South India. Don't know Punjabi Haryanvi, therefore, Hindi should be compulsory make official language o India.

If the language spoken by majority meant to be made NL, then for north India Hindi is similar to all north languages & for south India, Tamil is similar to all Dravidian languages, and for whole India English can be considered understood by the majority. In that case, efforts should be made to provide all Indians academics in English.

Hi all.

As we all know India is a sovereign socialist democratic country. India is a diverse country, people of different castes, creed, and regions live under the same roof different people from different areas speak different languages. South Indians speaks Tamil, Malayalam, Telegu, and Kannada while North Indians mainly speak in Hindi. Some North East states have different languages so in my perspective, everyone has their own right to speak and express themselves in their own language.

I think we should have 3 language format in our country. One mandatory regional language (state wise), Hindi as national language and English as international language. Making Hindi official language will create a political and regional raucous and can cause riots throughout the country. For a country as big and diverse as India where language changes every few KM declaring Hindi official language is inviting trouble.
