Hello, friends.
In my opinion, English should be the official language Because English is the common language. Anyone who speaks English they look like an educated person.
In present time Every parent wants to their children doing a study in English medium. Why, because English is the most important nowadays.

Let's get into the facts now Hindi speaking states in India are Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh (10 out of 29) I think majorly people who are supporting Hindi as NL should be belonging to these states and they are right from their point of view because it's convenient for them but what have you thought about people belonging from states like Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra, Telangana, North Eastern states if you observe they don't understand even alphabets of Hindi. By imposing them Hindi as NL don't you feel we are doing injustice to all these states or is it the price they have to pay for being part of the union of India who's administration is getting controlled by city namely Delhi which is again part of Hindi spoken region of the nation. If you have the right to preserve your language then why others don't have it this can't happen in democratic nation n if it going to happen then you are going destroy other 21 languages for the sake of Hindi and language is not just medium of talking it has culture, values, identity if all Hindi speaking states would be pressurised to talk in Tamil or any other Indian language what will happen to mother tongue skill (viz Hindi) I think its common sense thing put you into others shoes first. If you can't-do it you should not force it on others. And those who have the perception that all Indians understand should clear their facts by visiting non-Hindi states and go to a rural region as well not just cities then only they will realize by imposing Hindi on them how miserable life they can have because of you. And in the constitution, every individual has right to protect their language article 29. If we don't follow it we are going against the constitution.

According to me, Hindi should be made the official language of India because in almost all the states people speak Hindi apart from their regional language. So if Hindi is made the official language the people won't face any problem. Coming up to the regional issues, I don't think any controversy would arise if this takes place because even in Pakistan many people know Hindi. By using Hindi as the official language India would go one step ahead in becoming a self-independent nation as like that of China.

Those who give logic saying because 40% population talk in Hindi so it should be the official language. Then why should remaining 60% learn a non-familiar language for the sake of 40%. India is not made into the nation from only this 40% of the population. And if it was made it would have become HINDUSTAN, and not Hindustan. But we live in Hindustan n if anybody tries to create to Hindustan that will be a signal to future breach in the union which is a threat to the union.

The Main issue is with the structure of India it is a union but not federation. Due to this states voice gets drowned in such scenario where the center is made too strong to control states. Those who pretend one nation one language should understand that those countries who could follow above principle did not have people with different languages with different races with different cultures so above rule is not applicable to India. North Indian states find Hindi as a convenient language so they prefer Hindi as an official language, while south Indian people Tamil is familiar language to their native tongue but it doesn't mean Tamil should be made the official language of India same principle applies to Hindi as well. As English is alien language to northern states in same way Hindi is alien language to south India. As most knowledge is available in English it has become the language of knowledge while mother tongue helps us to preserve our culture and statehood. So to get knowledge n preserve culture English and native languages are essential and should be mandatory. Apart from this those who are interested to learn any language they are always free to learn it but by choice not by force in a democracy. We have imitated our parliament structure from united kingdom but the bitter truth is that our nation structure is not like United kingdom but it is like the European Union itself. So the inference is that this quasi-federalism must get changed to real federalism like the USA to preserve the true spirit of federalism.

Hindi is an India language. Hindi is a national language. It's proud for Indian. It is also rich in culture and heritage. Every nation has its own official language. Everyone used to speak the Hindi language.

The thing that we first need to understand is that language is just the expression of speech, it is what one speaks and what other understands. Every culture has its own language, there is no harm in making hindi the official language of hindustan. Hindi is in the name of hindustan itself.
Learning other languages is what embraces one's peesonality, enhances the abilities, but what the actual need is that people should not forced to learn a particular language. It should depend on people's own Will.
The mindset of considering a person inferior and 'gawar' who if he or she doesn't know english should be changed.

As we all know very well, there are different languages speak in India in different states. But Hindi is very easy, understandable, and comfort language. Even our India is also called Hindustan. So, in my opinion, Hindi should be the official language of India as well as other state languages. But we should use English language only for professionally, or some language difference conditions. Hindi is the language that touches our heart.
I want to say one more thing, that Hindi is the only language which makes our identity as Hindustani. Nowadays I have assumed much time a person who talks only Hindi does not seem educated or professional. While it is nothing like that because English is not our birth language so our education does not belong to learn this language. It is only a language. Please just try to think my sentence, if a five or eight year old Indian child began to speak in English then, should we think that he is educated. Lets come to the point I said, Hindi should be the official language of India but other languages also be official in their states. Every and each person of Indian states should have right to speak their language freely.
Thank You.

According to my opinion Hindi and English both are equally preferable by the Indians but as a Indian I also prefer Hindi language because it is easy to understand as well easy to communicate. Basically, both the languages have its own place and people feel comfortable with their own languages. So its not the point that Hindi should be the official language of India. Official language should be decided on that what people talk easily and comfortably.

According to census of 2012 only 40% of india's population knows hindi. So hindi should not be the national language of India.
