No, Hindi should not be the official language because a special language as to be made has an official language, Tamil is the first language spoken by the people in the earth.

As we all know very well, there are different languages speak in India in different states. But Hindi is very easy, understandable, and comfort language. Even our India is also called Hindustan. So, in my opinion, Hindi should be the official language of India as well as other state languages. But we should use English language only for professionally, or some language difference conditions. Hindi is the language that touches our heart.
I want to say one more thing, that Hindi is the only language which makes our identity as Hindustani. Nowadays I have assumed much time a person who talks only Hindi does not seem educated or professional. While it is nothing like that because English is not our birth language so our education does not belong to learn this language. It is only a language. Please just try to think my sentence, if a five or eight year old Indian child began to speak in English then, should we think that he is educated. Lets come to the point I said, Hindi should be the official language of India but other languages also be official in their states. Every and each person of Indian states should have right to speak their language freely.
Thank You.

Hello, friends.
In my opinion, English should be the official language Because English is the common language. Anyone who speaks English they look like an educated person.
In present time Every parent wants to their children doing a study in English medium. Why, because English is the most important nowadays.

Hindi should be one of the official language of India along with other spoken language in India because In many states especially in South India most people either don't know hindi or face difficulty to speak, If Hindi become the only official language of India then it will reduce the freedom of speech in many parts of India.

Yes, I agree Hindi should be the official language of India because many countries like Germany France are using their own language as official language. And India has yet no any official language then Hindi must be used as the official language and for people or state like Maharashtra South India where people don't konw and speak Hindi then in this situation there should be an option for implementation of English as second language.

Hi,
Before I give any opinion, Friends I want to clear this concept about 'THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE' which was also misunderstood by me. The official language doesn't refer to a language spoken by the citizens' of a country but a language used within the government. This gives all of us a freedom to speak and refer to any language we want! which includes our mother tongue too. Also because 'official language' isn't about which language should be spoken by everyone, no person within the country will feel that there was injustice done to their mother tongue since India is a diverse nation and probably the only nation to speak many different or multilingual languages.

Hii guys.
In my opinion, Hindi should not be the official language of India as.
1. Hindi is mainly spoken by major part of our country. But not in the whole country (like South India).
2. If we make Hindi our official language then I would become difficult for Foreigner to understand it.
3. As English is spoken by major part of the world so it becomes very convenient for the world to understand it and work runs smoothly.
4. If we make Hindi our official language then it would become difficult for some people of our own country to understand it like South Indians.
5. South Indians are not good in Hindi but they are much fluent in English.
6. If Hindi becomes the official language then we have to keep a translator with us all the time who can make them understand what our documents are saying.

Hindi is a language not for all Indians it is just medium for the express view, to talk And not all Indians comfortable with Hindi mainly south India peoples they have their language and its right to say that it's not necessary that all Indians want Hindi as the national language. So for everyone without creating any disputes don't need to make Hindi as N. L.

Of course, Hindi should be National Language. I am a South Indian and I prefer Hindi more than the English with all the people. Majority of Indians are comfortable with Indians. So, there is no point of objection.

The Main issue is with the structure of India it is a union but not federation. Due to this states voice gets drowned in such scenario where the center is made too strong to control states. Those who pretend one nation one language should understand that those countries who could follow above principle did not have people with different languages with different races with different cultures so above rule is not applicable to India. North Indian states find Hindi as a convenient language so they prefer Hindi as an official language, while south Indian people Tamil is familiar language to their native tongue but it doesn't mean Tamil should be made the official language of India same principle applies to Hindi as well. As English is alien language to northern states in same way Hindi is alien language to south India. As most knowledge is available in English it has become the language of knowledge while mother tongue helps us to preserve our culture and statehood. So to get knowledge n preserve culture English and native languages are essential and should be mandatory. Apart from this those who are interested to learn any language they are always free to learn it but by choice not by force in a democracy. We have imitated our parliament structure from united kingdom but the bitter truth is that our nation structure is not like United kingdom but it is like the European Union itself. So the inference is that this quasi-federalism must get changed to real federalism like the USA to preserve the true spirit of federalism.
