Should Animals be used for Testing New Drugs & Medical Procedures?

I disagree with this topic. Even Animals are Living beings. Animals cannot express their feelings, they cannot speak. So it does not mean that advantage of it should be taken. We cannot put their lives in danger.

According to me no living being ( either man or animal ) should be used for drug testing . besides , Scientists must build some special device for testing a drug , scientists are working on various useless projects that should be stopped . Animals are speechless , this is not thier fault , god created them like that and because of that , various animals are suffering from death . As life is a god's gift , each and every living creatures have the right to live .

Human and animal both are living being both have there own life.

Animal also have the right to live on this earth. God has not gifted them speech yet they speaks by crying. Scientists should develop some other ways of testing products.

I totally disagree with this thought that animals should be subjected to the test of medical drugs and all that. As we all know that human diseases are different from that of animals, so how can we test the remedies of those on animals. That is not a way of judging the effects or side-effects of those. Animals have also the right to be treated as a living being. Their life can't be taken for granted. We should make some alternates to test those drugs like some chemical solutions or anything from which that disease catches.

All of us has given our point of view and all of us are thinking that whatever we wrote or whatever we think is totally right. But I want to question, one, who wrote that animals should not be used for medicinal purposes. The person who support this statement, what are you thinking?

If we would not utilize animals for the development of new medicines then how would we able cure the spreading diseases. If we would not utilize animals then on whom shall we do experiments? I think you all don't even realize that we the humans consume more animals than animals used for testing.

Animal also have equal rights like human so I do not agree with this I think that the scientists and specialist have to do research and find its solution.

People are sick! ANIMALS have hearts and feelings for us you know! How about I call you an Animal and kill you! Yea, I didint think you would like that. :'(

I agree and disagree if you family member did not take this medicine they will be dead, you as a person also take headache pills all the time and in life have been given medication and one of your family members and a friend takes medication if it wasn't for this they will be dead but testing it on animals it strictly wrong in any level because they also have lives and can feel pain just as we do.

No animal should be used for drug testing, it's cruel. I think they should drugs on people in prison who have the death penalty, so that way if they die, it wouldn't matter.

We all say life is precious. So we don't have any rights to kill these innocent and little animals just for our personal self. They also pertain to life like us they also feel pain as human feels. But we are forced to make experiments on animals because there are no viable alternatives. In fact, there are some alternatives like computer model, cell structure. But these things do not give satisfactory result as animals testings give.

But we should also keep in minds that losses due to injuries may be reduced because it can affect the whole balanced ecosystem.
