As we know everything has it's pros and cons both. In the same way, testing drugs on animal also has it's pros and cons. When scientist prepares drugs they have to test it and animals are the best substitute of humans to test the drugs which can be used further for the treatment of humans, animals have similar cells of human body and we can see the results how actually drug is going to react but after testing drugs animals are killed and even sometimes reaction on animals is not the same as the reaction in humans so it is not always beneficial and accurate to test the drug. It will be good if scientists find another substitute for testing the drug so that there will be no need of killing animals after testing drugs on them.

I don't agree because I think animals have the right to live but on the other hand we need a new medicine to deal with new diseases.
I believe that god created all of thing in world to make a better life for human. But we should use them in a humane way.
I think specialists should try to find a new way to test a new medicine and until that time they have to use animal.

I think that animals have the right to live their life without people hurting them! think about it what if that was you would you want to be tested on? no? yes? well animals don't want to be tested on either! One day humans will be tested on and ill be laughing at all you haters that want animals to be in pain!

Animals and humans do not have equal rights. Animals were made for the benefit of the human race. However, humans were created to take care of the animals. No, animals should not be tested on, it is unfair, and often cruel. Yes drugs should be tested, and not for the first time on humans, nor until scientists have legitimately verified that said drug is safe for our use, without any worry of complications. While both of these arguments present truth, and yes they are somewhat accurate, they ignore something very important; we are at a basic level-ANIMALS. We are mammals-the first sign of well, being an animal. We are somewhat related to monkeys- said many intelligent scientists. So yes I can understand that maybe animals are being treated unfairly, being deliberately and accidentally given diseases and unknown affects of the drug being tested. But, just looking at the one side of the story, isn't fair either, because then we begin mistreating ourselves and each other, by selling untested drugs to the public, without knowing the full affects.
While it is definitely necessary to test these new drugs on animals, both for the survival of the human race, and because it provokes a higherish level of thinking, animals tested are quite often not treated fairly and in may cases extremely abused. The answer to these issues, is not to completely make illegal the testing of new drugs on animals, nor is it to allow the animals to be completely mistreated for the sake of science. I think the only option is to put more laws in place, that don't make it necessarily harder to test animals, but harder to mistreat them. This is a problem that will never be solved 100%, not at least for a very long time. We need to stop thinking one way or the other, but consider both aspects, and meet in the middle for the good of animals and humans alike.

After reading all this, I think that animals are not to be tested. They should be tamed and pampered because they help us in many ways. We should ban the use of animals for drug development and medical research. We harm animals to satisfy our own benefits. Their life has been gifted by God which we are spoiling. Our life is also precious to us, as their life are precious to them. "Men has no right to destroy. What we cannot create". For this many species of animals have become extinct, endangering the ecological balance of nature.

Hello friends.
In my point of view, laboratory experiment on animals is not a good thing because most of the animals are suffered from pain during testing but in the other hand, we have no more alternative to deal with new disease so it is our compulsion to test with animals. Our scientists should search for some more alternatives for testing after that we can protect animal's life. We should not forget that we are completely dependent on animals. And we have no right to take someone's life because it is in the hand of God to give and take life. Life means life whether human or animal both are of equal importance. When we feel the pain we can show our pain by crying but animals are not. And if we forcefully do tests on them, then it is against our spirit.

No, animal has feeling, they no pain, they are creature of God. We have no right to hurt them for our selfless reason. I don't care if million people will die because of rabies, Louis Pasteur were a monster to create animal testing. We should volunteer our self as test subject for drug not using animal. I will even give my child for drug testing.
In case anyone does not understand that is sarcasm. Idiot, if we can't test animal, how would we know what the drug does in-vivo ? And even if human volunteer for drug test, we can't test on human for scientific reason, not moral reason dumb-ass. We do not simply choose rat, mice, rabbit because they are poor helpless animal. We chose them because. Wait why do I have to educate you guys, go and take a course in biomedical science to see why we have to test on animal and why those animal.

First of all without animal testing there would be about 35% less humans in the world, and animal testing is alright because the animals used are easily replaced such as rats and birds. You must realize that humans consume over 80% more pigs, cattle, and chickens then animals that are used for testing.
Over 340 pigs are consumed for every one animal tested on. Though I admit that animals may have emotions and a consciousness, but you must remember without animal testing a lot of drugs, shampoos, toothpastes, and MANY other products you use everyday you would not have. Also you must remember that in testing dogs, cats and other more domesticated animals are not used. Rats, birds, and rarely chimps (monkeys) are used for testing.

Animals. We humans are too. Obviously, we need a solution to animal testing. Each and every creature on this earth feels pain and deserves the right to live a natural, full happy life. Although humans need medication and new products, we should NOT test them on any creature. Life is too precious. Humans absolutely do not have the right to hurt an animal or take its life.
Thank you!
Thank you!
