Hi,

Yes. I will agree with it. Because, now a days the population and the no of diseases are increasing proportionally. And to cure those there is a need to discover new drugs and medicine. So, a host has to be there for conducting the experiments. Its not fair, to have human as a host. Obviously, we need to choose any animal that's have the same living conditions for the specific drug. If its the animal there won't be any problem, because we have so many techniques for reproducing them. If there is any mismatch we can go for another one. By considering the ecosystem it is suggestible to experiment the animals which are plenty in number.

Human sacrifices their life in wars for their country so one dies so that others could live. Animals are tested to save humanity, you just can't be too emotional. In absence of other options we are left with no choice moreover as we know survival of fittest if no experimentations are done humans will get extinct.

Animals should use in testing medical procedures. Because there are a lot of correlations between animals and humans including homologous genes, neurology, and molecular biological. This all comes from having a common ancestor and genes that have been retained though out generations. We have tested and found the best animals to test on and do so ethically through a progression starting with tissue cultures, then moving to mice, monkeys, and then chimpanzees before humans and more often than not these so-called tests have proved wrong and many drugs have been taken off the market. That's what animal testing is for.

This is a quoted text.

We don't want to use animals, but we don't have any other options.

The most significant trend in modern research is the recognition that animals rarely serve as good models for the human body. Human clinical and epidemiological studies, human tissue- and cell-based research methods, cadavers, sophisticated high-fidelity human-patient simulators, and computational models have the potential to be more reliable, more precise, less expensive, and more humane alternatives to experiments on animals. Advanced microchips that use real human cells and tissues to construct fully functioning postage stamp size organs allow researchers to study diseases and also develop and test new drugs to treat them. Progressive scientists have used human brain cells to develop a model "microbrain", which can be used to study tumors, as well as artificial skin and bone marrow. We can now test skin irritation using reconstructed human tissues (e.g. MatTek's EpiDermTM), produce and test vaccines using human tissues, and perform pregnancy tests using blood samples instead of killing rabbits.

Experimentation using animals persists not because it's the best science but because of archaic habits, resistance to change, and a lack of outreach and education.

From Feeling point of view, I will say NO. Because every animal is having same feeling as human being. The only thing is that they can not express it like us.

We can have some clones on which we can do experiments. Because, these clones are made by us only. And we have the right to destroy something which we have created. Not for the things which we have not created.

But from cloning point of view, it is not a simple cup of tea to produce a clone. And we can not experiment on human beings. So, Yes, animal can be used for testing new drugs and medical procedures. That's all.

No, it should not. Because in 2010 97,123 animals suffered pain during testing drugs/medicines.

Animals could not be used for testing new drugs because many of these experiments cause pain to the animals involved or reduce their quality of life in other ways. If it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer then experimenting on animals produces serious moral problems.

It causes suffering to animals the benefits to human beings are not proven any benefits to human beings that animal testing does provide could be produced in other ways also.

First of all, without animal testing, there would be about 35% less humans in the world, and animal testing is alright because the animals used are easily replaced such as rats and birds. You must realize that humans consume over 80% more pigs, cattle, and chickens then animals that are used for testing.

Over 340 pigs are consumed for every one animal tested on. Though I admit that animals may have emotions and a consciousness, but you must remember without animal testing a lot of drugs, shampoos, toothpaste, and MANY other products you use every day you would not have. Also, you must remember that in testing dogs, cats, and other more domesticated animals are not used. Rats, birds, and rarely chimps (monkeys) are used for testing.

Hi guys!

I believe that this is correct.

Because it benefits us and puts us through less pain. Also, when animals are tested, they are usually sedated taking away the pain. In addition, human benefits are gained which could not be obtained by using other methods. Anyway, the three Rs are usually used: Reduction, Refinement, Replacement. Even if animal testing is harmful and dangerous to animals, it can save people's lives. God said that we can rule over the animals, so let us use them a sensible but beneficial way!

Good morning my dear friends.

I want to say that animal should be used in the laboratory because our scientist use some animal and saves a million of people and animal life and scientist learns many things and they discover new medicine and drugs which is very helpful for the animal and human race but I want to say that keeping all things in my mind that there should be low loss and harm animal life. Nowadays our scientist uses the animal because there is no another option to examine the drugs side effects and by this, our scientist and doctor reduce the side effects of drugs and saves human life.
