In my point of view, retirement due to age is just not a criterion for politicians but, it should be the decision of peoples. As we know politicians are public servants and we are the people who select them, we have also the power of judging them what they can do now by analyzing their capability and previous political career. If he was a good one and never took part in corruption, then he was allowed to serve for us.

Hii everyone.

As we all know that politics is totally based on experience, knowledge and new techniques of a particular person to improve the condition of.

Our country. New ideas means youth and experience means the well established politicians both are the subset of a good government. So I don't think there is any restriction on age for politicians but its also important that young minds should also be the part of this.

Hello, friends. I think that having a fixed retirement age is not desirable because a better-experienced one is not prone to make mistakes in making decisions regarding the country's development. Though it does not give the new ones to take participate then also it helps on the country's advancement. And not giving the opportunities to new ones, does not harm the system, then not having a fixed age for retirement is worth full.

THANKYOU.

This is not good for our country because retirement people take rest after retirement and enjoying his life. I think ministers and legislators always elect those candidate those have completed mpsc and upsc those knowledgeble people are leading great than uneducated minister.

In my views. People in politics must have a retirement date. They should be the one who encourages the youth of the nation to come up and gets involved in political. As the era is changing. It is the need of hour. Not saying that they should quit totally but they should be the pillars of the young politicians and need to support them as well as oppose them if they do something worng but that doesn't mean that they should not be given chance. Politician should leave away their greed to remain in power. People too want fresh options.

Yes, Retirement is necessary for politicians and retirement the have to work as an adviser for those who come next to them.

In ancient days, when the kings were ruled people, " the kings are at a younger age and the kings ruled their kingdom on the advice of mantri (minister or adviser).

At that time India was the richest country in the world.

Hello, friends.

I too think that there should be the retirement age in the field of politics also, as there is in every other service. I am not telling that after a certain age is crossed do not contact them but they can become mentors for the young leaders by guiding them with their wisdom and experience.

I think there should be no retirement age of politicians.

Politics is one of the good sectors to develop our country and also drive it in good way it is possible if more experienced persons are in politics.

I don't feel that there is a need to introduce a cap on the retirement age for politicians, because-

1. Politicians are public servants and as long as the public wants them to serve and is happy with their working, why they should retire? Besides this, if the public is unsatisfied with their working, then public has the power to remove them from power in the next elections.

2. Politicians who are serving good service to the nation and who haven't been involved in corruption in past are a great asset to the country.

3. Public may lose hope in the party or lose credibility in the party if the politician in which they believe or have faith will no longer be there in the party. For e.g, most of the people today are backing BJP in elections, only because of Mr. Modi.

4. The experience which a senior politician have cannot be simply replaced by someone who is new to politics.

5. Politicians may also help to maintain diplomatic relations, who may have an impact if they retire.

6. People have a sentiment of hope and believe attached to a politician, and their retirement may cause anger and chaos in the public. For e.g, take the example of late CM Jayalalitha, people of TN praises her and admire her. Imagine the reaction of the public if she was made to retire before her death!

So, I think there is no need to set a retirement age for politicians, people have ultimate power in democracy and it is them, who decides who can or cannot serve the nation.

Thanks!

I think age should not be the criteria for the politicians rather it should be their efficiency and competitiveness and we should not forget it's we people who are electing them to lead us so at the time of electing our representatives we should make our decision purely on the basis of their performance on field. And we know India is very large country and have very important role in international affairs as well so we need the people with experience to lead the country and make better decisions for the betterment of the nation and at the same time we should also encourage the participation of youth in the politics.
