Politics should be played, but not to divide the people as per their religion and basically those are the two different things, one should not mix those for their personal benefit in the election And everyone should believe humanity is the only religion.

Hello,
In my perspective, politics and religion goes hand in hand.
Why? Talking based only on the negative impact of the past is not the holistic approach. It is widely mistaken in India that secularism (Civil Religion) is equated with religion. However, the real issue lies with communalism and not religion. Every religion has its own high ideals which propagate the well being of humanity.
On the other hand, we cannot afford to continue to subscribe to the same old 'Blame Game' of power politics. Instead, it's much wiser to come out of our pointing finger purview and be a rational active ambassadors of both religious and political ideals.
At the bottom line both are age old institutions that have enriched, shaped and withstand challenges thus far in this great country of ours. It's is the players/stakeholders that defame named institutions.

DURING colonial period British government had run the policy of divide and rule. This division was based on various methodology on the basis of living standards, caste, religion.
As it been truly said that "there is always a knot in between joined broken thread". In that manner our brotherhood is still unable to bind those gap. Politicians are now taking the advantage of those division. In our multiparty system politician tell their people specifically that he will work best for him then others.

We should not support any such parties. People should understand that the people belong to a particular political party should be honest, caring, forgiving, down to earth attitude. This will answer all other similar questions like discrimination (religion, gender, race, wealth, country, etc. ) , corruption, greed, violence, etc. etc. Rather that asking such question we should discuss on honest, caring, forgiving, down to earth attitude.

In my point of view POLARIZATION on the basis of RELIGION will not lead India to the international level. People in India are day by day getting sensible they know that, this is all set. It will not benefit the citizens of our country, still there are many issues like poverty, unemployment, security of the women's its political leaders should end the dirty politics on the basis of caste, religion and lay their emphasize on the development of the people and surmount over these issues. So therefore religion shouldn't be amalgamated with the politics. Politics is for the welfare of the people.

Hi Friends,
Politics should not be mixed with religion. In a country like India, it is very difficult to change the system which is followed for many years. People of India should change their way of thinking. Each and every individual should educate themselves and vote for a right person.

India is a country of diverse culture. Nowadays politicians are approaching the general public on the basis of religion to increase their vote bank. This should not be done as it not only increases their votes but also divides the country.

Religion is one's belief regarding the creator of him. It defines how he sees the nature, others and himself in the society. It's the belief he/she strongly possess and nurture it in his mind and soul.
Politics is the one which allows the representatives to communicate with the people. It's the way, one can get the belief and of people. It's the way one can express himself on what he can do for the welfare of the society and the way in which he/she can understand & protect the belief of the people.
So two beliefs (one as Religion and one as politics) met each other when there is a necessity. Involving religion in politics is not always an evil. Bhakti Movement involved it for the welfare of people and it provided the base for the unity of people. During independence, Religion was one of the major factors which provoked sentiments of people and leads to the revolution. It's the combination which can provoke mass people towards good as well as poor.
According to me, Involving religion in politics is not a bad thing, but it depends on the way how it's interpreted. So, good politicians, people representative using it for the welfare of the citizens, it's always a movement of welcome.
PS: Avoiding or prohibiting or nullifying anything will not be useful for the welfare.
Thank you.

No. Religion should not mix with the politics. In last year, we have heard and even saw "meat ban" this all happen because of religion. One religion person that belong from his/her own religion he likes to say whatever in my region it is right according to traditional rule so who we are to change this rule. Then another religion people say but in my religion and in tradition it will not accept. It is truely said that terrorists unite us while religion divides. The politician also gates advantage of the religion matter.

Religion should not be mixed with politics But what if certain sensitive topics need political interference. Shouldn't the concerns of the majority population be addressed by the leaders of the nation ? Recently 'beef ban' is in news. If a religion guy has just worshiped an animal and hours later he come to know that the smell from neighbor's house is on beef and it has been the same animal worshiped, this will create rukkas and inharmonious environment. Thus, politicians should not cook their meal on religious matters but should participate with pure intentions giving detailed and logical explanations to the religious causes and having healthy public debates as they are the voice of public keeping in mind that if India allows diversity, we should assure harmony.
