I think it should be. If we look at countries like India, which consist of such a large diversity, it should be mixed for the sake of the country's real majority. When politicians mix religion with the politics, intentionally or unintentionally they enhance the societal system and encourage the social life of an individual. I am not talking about the welfare of discrimination but the acknowledgement for the thinking of people who are really in a minority.

As in India politicians mainly fight with the perception regarding Hindu and Muslim but the truth is, Muslim are not real minority there are many states in which Muslims are in majority.

And religion is the basic factor of social occasions practised by any individual and hence if mixing religion with politics can benefit one"s social practice then why not it shouldn't.

I agree that religion and politics should never be mixed. The law is supposed to be based on logic and good reasoning as to why something should be legal or not; not based on "your" faith in a personal God. Religion is already complex enough with over 4,000 religions and everyone will feel that their religion is superior, making their word law. "My" God isn't always going to be the next persons God meaning we will practice differently. For example, in some religions "we" would still have slaves, woman wouldn't be allowed to be in a position of leadership, interracial couples and dating would be forbidden, etc. Those are just a few factors as to why I believe religion should not be involved in politics. We should be focused on the maturity and growth of nations that is equal and religion just hinders "us from doing so.

Religion should not mixed with politics. Well this is the most important topic to discuss friends.

Firstly, government has been only conducting election by keeping in mind that the upcoming leader should take care of our country by giving equal priority to all rather than giving more priority to specific group.

Here Religion should not play any special role. Every citizen is having equal rights and equal access to any schemes introduced in our country. If religion is involved with politics, it will be against the human rights.

Religion and cast are the one which are created to use only in the place where it has to be. If it is involved with politics, then the political government is doing injustice to our country. India should become a country where every single individual should be treated in equal manner.

Hello, everyone. Religion and Politics may be considered as two different banks of a river which can't meet. But, we people always try to mix both. Religion is one which separates us from one another in term of the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or Goddess.

Religion and politics are two extremists that cannot be put together, otherwise, it would devastate the unity, peace, and harmony in our only secular nation of the world.

As far religion is concerned, it should not be mixed with politics because politics is meant for all people of nation or state, we cannot give priority to an individual cast or majority, politicians should be those people who take the decisions and reforms not looking to a single group of people of sate or nation.

Thank you so much!

Hello everyone.

The main aim of a political system is to provide all-round growth to a society which in turn will lead to rise in status of each individual and providing strong foundation to nation but if "Religion is mixed with politics" the following side effects may a nation suffer.

1) An Uneven growth in the nation.

2) Rise in communal tension between different religion which can be a threat to nation peace.

3) Raising of such practices may even cause loss to humanity and people may get discriminated on the basis of religion in the time of need.

Moreover such kind of politics is raised by only those poltical parties whose first agenda is to meet their hunger for power and not in the improvement of society. On the above basis I want to conclude that religion should not be mixed with politics.

Ideally yes, religion and faith should not be mixed with politics. Before we begin to condemn the malpractices, let us understand that post independence we have chosen to be a democratic government. In a scenario where the majority of the population was rural, uneducated with this new concept of democracy. No resources and programs were introduced with this respect to supplant the feudalistic mind in many strata with democracy. Sufficient education of the new system and its contrasts with the old system were not explained to the population. Only the England educated class had an idea of the democratic process with its pros and cons.

The soup of politics, religious faith, we are seeing now is a consequence of the mistakes we have committed. We are trying to be democratic with a feudalistic mindset.

Good Afternoon everyone.

My name is Sofia Katara and today I would like to express my views on the topic "Religion should not be mixed with politics".

We all know that India is a religiously diverse country. There are so many religions and cultures and everyone has the right to choose their religion. Politicians should not discriminate peoples on behalf of religions.

All the policies and rules regulations should be the same for all people.

If they do so, then people will become more aggressive and there will be riots everywhere.

As we see that many politicians take the help of religion to win the election but they don't know that by doing this they are just provoking the spark of anger and it will cause great problems in future.

So, in my opinion, Religion should not be mixed with politics.

Good morning everyone, Myself Suraj Anand.

We are discussing a very good topic that is beneficial for our community. First of all, I would like to say that Religion and politics both have their limitations. It should not mixed. All Religions teach us brotherhood, equality, respect, truths and many more good things. Politics have different qualities, people should understand the difference between both. India is a secular country. Everyone should respect to another religion.

Some politician looks only their vote bank, by which they raise such topic that can hurt the people. In some areas of the country, people should not elect their representative on the basis of caste and color which results in the division of the social community. The country will grow when all people think together.

Religion can mixed with politics in the sense that religion means peace, love kindness, sympathy for each other and believe, faith to GOD. On the other hand, politics means welfare for the people, protect every individual life, granting their rights and maintaining fraternity among the people. For instance, we surrendered our RIGHTS to the state because to protect us, to save us and in order to live peacefully.

ON THE CONTRARY, religion can never be mixed with politics in the sense that the way of our politician used the powers, playing game for vote bank in the name of religion, the maximum leaders used politics as business, discrimination, etc and besides the politician, the people following their religion in the formed of opium, alcohol and they thinking superiority to each others.

Obviously, it's true that religion shouldn't be mixed with politics. But here we have to think the root cause of it. Is it because of the politicians who play with the religious sentiments of people? Or is it because of the people who set boundaries for themselves based on their religion and caste? Only when there is a point of conflict available for them, the politicians or anyone try to cash it. A political leader is just a representative of the society/his constituency. It is obvious that in our country each region is being dominated by a single religion or caste. Automatically, the leader thus elected will be of the dominant religion/caste and after the election, he serves his community the most. This will raise the social inequalities further and creates an unrest in the society.
