In India there are many religion but some conflict between them. In older time there is a conflict between Hindu and Muslims by which a civil war take place from not side many people were killed and the country divided into 2 parts.
In opinion there should be a separation of religion from politics by every religion have their own leader by which there is less chance to conflict between 2 religion in the country.

Religion is a person's identity which defines one's beliefs, ideologies and principles. Politics on the other hand consists of activities to govern a country or a region and its people. Hence, politics and religion have a connection even though they appear to be absolutely different from one another.
Politicians, being the chosen leaders, have the favorable scope of communicating with the people where they try to influence them. Politicians can use various religious beliefs and customs of a certain community to gain their support. It is through religious terms that the politicians can have the greatest impact on the minds of all people who was greatly attached to one's own religion.
Great politicians often use religion to create peace, harmony and unity among the people of a region or a country. They try to inculcate good principles and practices among the people so that the governance runs smoothly.
It only depends on the politicians how they would use religion to influence the people. Now, I would give the opportunity to other members of the group to put forward their opinions on this.

Yes, I strongly believe that religion should not be mixed with the politics. In our country, there are many provisions are present in the constitution to protect and uphold one's religion. But unfortunately today's politics are drowned in caste and religion.
Now the political parties taking advantage from the caste and religion to win the elections. So it is mandatory to bring the amendment or an act for not use caste and religion politics. The election commission has to take care to not to include caste and religion in the political party manifesto. Then only we can find harmony in the democracy.

Hello,
In my perspective, politics and religion goes hand in hand.
Why? Talking based only on the negative impact of the past is not the holistic approach. It is widely mistaken in India that secularism (Civil Religion) is equated with religion. However, the real issue lies with communalism and not religion. Every religion has its own high ideals which propagate the well being of humanity.
On the other hand, we cannot afford to continue to subscribe to the same old 'Blame Game' of power politics. Instead, it's much wiser to come out of our pointing finger purview and be a rational active ambassadors of both religious and political ideals.
At the bottom line both are age old institutions that have enriched, shaped and withstand challenges thus far in this great country of ours. It's is the players/stakeholders that defame named institutions.

Ya of course religion can't be mixed with politics. Politician is the one who serves for the people. If religion get into politics most of the offers funds and all priorities are given to only a particular religious people.

I agree with this point and true also in our country politics mixing with religions. We had more religion political background parties in our country. Political leaders debate with each other forgot the problems of People.
Is it our country only for one religion? No, it is our country no matter how many religions in the country, and the only one thing we are all Indians. Some leaders get profit from creating the problems b|n the people.

Hello my friends,
I would like to say that yes, RELIGION should be mixed with politics, and the reason is quite clear and that is that we shouldn't talk about ideal things which are not at all applicable, leave the religion you can't even separate casteism from politics, so lets not change the fact lets improve it.

Hey friends, politics and religions should not mix as politics need to reflect a common opinion and have to make all decisions keeping in view the mutual benefit of all the people.
If you simply go by the laws in India which is a secular country then definitely as per it the two things should not mix with each other.

We should not support any such parties. People should understand that the people belong to a particular political party should be honest, caring, forgiving, down to earth attitude. This will answer all other similar questions like discrimination (religion, gender, race, wealth, country, etc. ) , corruption, greed, violence, etc. etc. Rather that asking such question we should discuss on honest, caring, forgiving, down to earth attitude.
