In my point of view POLARIZATION on the basis of RELIGION will not lead India to the international level. People in India are day by day getting sensible they know that, this is all set. It will not benefit the citizens of our country, still there are many issues like poverty, unemployment, security of the women's its political leaders should end the dirty politics on the basis of caste, religion and lay their emphasize on the development of the people and surmount over these issues. So therefore religion shouldn't be amalgamated with the politics. Politics is for the welfare of the people.

We should not support any such parties. People should understand that the people belong to a particular political party should be honest, caring, forgiving, down to earth attitude. This will answer all other similar questions like discrimination (religion, gender, race, wealth, country, etc. ) , corruption, greed, violence, etc. etc. Rather that asking such question we should discuss on honest, caring, forgiving, down to earth attitude.

DURING colonial period British government had run the policy of divide and rule. This division was based on various methodology on the basis of living standards, caste, religion.
As it been truly said that "there is always a knot in between joined broken thread". In that manner our brotherhood is still unable to bind those gap. Politicians are now taking the advantage of those division. In our multiparty system politician tell their people specifically that he will work best for him then others.

Hello,
In my perspective, politics and religion goes hand in hand.
Why? Talking based only on the negative impact of the past is not the holistic approach. It is widely mistaken in India that secularism (Civil Religion) is equated with religion. However, the real issue lies with communalism and not religion. Every religion has its own high ideals which propagate the well being of humanity.
On the other hand, we cannot afford to continue to subscribe to the same old 'Blame Game' of power politics. Instead, it's much wiser to come out of our pointing finger purview and be a rational active ambassadors of both religious and political ideals.
At the bottom line both are age old institutions that have enriched, shaped and withstand challenges thus far in this great country of ours. It's is the players/stakeholders that defame named institutions.

Politics should be played, but not to divide the people as per their religion and basically those are the two different things, one should not mix those for their personal benefit in the election And everyone should believe humanity is the only religion.

Yes, I strongly believe that religion should not be mixed with the politics. In our country, there are many provisions are present in the constitution to protect and uphold one's religion. But unfortunately today's politics are drowned in caste and religion.
Now the political parties taking advantage from the caste and religion to win the elections. So it is mandatory to bring the amendment or an act for not use caste and religion politics. The election commission has to take care to not to include caste and religion in the political party manifesto. Then only we can find harmony in the democracy.

I partially agree with you all, I think politics has nothing to do with religion and the politicians should not play politics on the ground of religion because if politics will mix with religion there will always be a threat to communal harmony and nobody can live peacefully. Politicians always try to gain political benefits when there is an election by polarizing the votes on the basis of religion.
Everybody has the right to live with peace, equality and to accept any religion of their choice and it is also written in every holy book to live with brotherhood with everyone either they are from your religion or not. So people should boycott those political parties who play religion card and should choose the one who will do the development of the country.

Religion is birth right but politics is certainly not. In the present scenario it is seen that religion is used as weapon to make a foothold at politics but this should not be done. Yes we all support universal adult franchise but it's for the upliftment of the society and not to bring a political party in power.

Hi friends,
I agree this statement. If religion involved with politics it will be against human rights. Religion is valuable thing. So do not compare with politics.
Thanks for your reading.

Hi friends,
Religion & Politics are two most important one for citizens of our country. But both have different morals & rules. Here comes the politics of our politicians to make a victory. They all using religious people for their victory.
Even Though most of the Indian peoples are well educated there is some religious feel stick to them which make them to fail in their responsibility to choose a better leaders for our country.
Think before you vote whether they are eligible for that post rather voting them because they belong to our religion. Even now so many parents are uneducated let us explain them not to vote based on religion. Religion never related with politics! Our responsibility is related with politics.
