I think including or even mixing religion with caste is a very cheap way of getting votes from a majority of people. Since politicians look for their benefit rather than the benefit of the people, casteism and forming religion based party is a common way which may help them get votes and access power.
Mixing religion and politics makes people of certain religion which exist as minority in the country, feel alienated and discriminated.

In our country, peoples of different religion live together in a society. Political parties should not prefer any religion in making any decision. If they do so, it may lead to violence among the peoples of different religions. As a developing country, there should not be any discrimination between different religions. Political leaders should treat a religion as small, they should always make a decision in favour of all religions.

According to me religion should not be use in politics. But it does not mean that Religion is weakness. Religion teaches us how to live, behave with the others. If we go through past ya its right that people vote to the person belongs to his/her religion.
But this strategy is getting changed now. Now people are favorable to those candidates who really sincere and have good vision, knowledge. This is a good sign for our country.

I completely agree with the topic. The religion of a leader can never express his thoughts towards society or towards a particular community. In my view today's Young & intellect youth should understand that those politicians who demand votes in the name of religion are simply fooling them & should discard them. Votes should only be cast on the basis of their thoughts & ideas towards the development of the nation.

I agree that religion should not mix with the politics. As we know that many of the issues or problems are because of religious discrimination, and we know that religion is one of cause for terrissiom and many other problems in India, so how can we mix the religion with politics. Every individual has there own religion so a politician must select on basis of their humanity irrespective of their gender or caste or religion.

Hi friends,
How could we relate politics with religion which is entirely different. Yes, here comes the politics of politician they make use of the religious people for their victory.
We all must have the knowledge for differentiating religion from politics. So that we may stop electing ambitious leaders.
Be a responsible citizen to choose a responsible leaders for our country. Thank for hearing my point of view.

In India there are many religion but some conflict between them. In older time there is a conflict between Hindu and Muslims by which a civil war take place from not side many people were killed and the country divided into 2 parts.
In opinion there should be a separation of religion from politics by every religion have their own leader by which there is less chance to conflict between 2 religion in the country.

I agreed to the opinion of my friends. Religion is not need to mix up with politics. Religion is based on the belief of creation and existence. Politics is based on way of thinking, it's for the betterness of country. If religion based politics is existing, what will happen to atheists. Does they need to leave the country? Or need to sacrifice their lives? I don't think so. Because right to belief is fundamental.

According to me, today's topic is very sensible and beneficial for our country. During election period, many politicians came with religion issues. They start representing a religion. Start giving promises for vote. We should not elect such a representative. We should not support him or her because of greed. We should keep in mind terrorists unite when religion divides. So never mix religion with politics.

Hi friends,
Politics is mixed with the religion from the day our country got independence. Since then it is followed by many riots, destruction, and other events which clearly shows that politics has messed up a lot in the name of religion.
It only depends on us how we choose our representatives in the parliament and further more how those representatives act and behave for the welfare of people.
