Privatization will lead to Less Corruption

I agree with the points and thoughts mentioned above. But in my point of view I feel that PPP is the best way to eliminate corruption from our country. When both sectors will work together it will be effective and efficient way to do work.

Privatization will help in removing corruption but at the same time it is not suited for every sector. Government owned sectors work for the welfare of people and also bring revenue for the government to function properly.

I think if government imposes strict rules and give punishment to the one accused for corruption the instances of corruption will reduce. Here is an example, Delhi chief minister Mr. Kejriwal encouraged people to post videos or voice recordings when police took bribes from them so that they can stop these malpractice.

Many policemen were accused and punished as a result they are now afraid and do there work properly. So, I believe if people and government work together we can make India corruption free.

Talking on the topic" privatisation leads to less corruption" I think in case of corruption there is nothing like private or a public thing. The best way to get out of this is "digitization" i.e. making everything online and hence reducing the human interference because I feel this is the only way which can provide us with 100% transparency and hence a reduction in corruption.

Taking a recent example of filing an FIR. I think it has really helped a lot in reducing the corruption at least at this level.

What else can be done is by making strict laws and creating a non governmental organisation which would not only keep a check on the laws but will also make sure that the implementation is being done properly.

According to me privatization will lead to less corruption. This is not important if we want to really eradicate corruption from root we have to come forward to fight this. No privatizations no governmentalization can do this.

Corruption is not depending on private and government sector, this is depending on invisible attitude.

It is practically a very feasible solution of reducing corruption to the lower level. Let's not talk about privatization, PPP or other things such as motives of the private organization, it is a different topic to debate. We are here to discuss the impact of privatization on corruption and I feel most of the people are deviating from the topic.

According to me, privatization will drastically reduce the corruption in India. We all are aware of the situation in government offices like PWD, Education department, Police Stations, Hospitals, RTO etc. The situation is so worse that nothing can be done in formal ways and according to the procedures, we have to bribe agents, officers etc. No work can be done without bribing, your file cannot move to even one level higher if you won't pay bribes. The situation is pathetic.

Every law, rule, regulations, the machinery of government have failed to remove corruption because it is itself corrupt partially. Let's analyze the situation of private firms, for example, ICICI Bank, you go there with a problem, it will be dealt within a minute, on the other hand, see the working of nationalized banks.

The USA and other developed economies have used the privatization as a tool to eradicate corruption and optimize their work culture, we are very much aware of this. These economies are successful in placing a well settled and corruption free system while keeping their citizens on priority.

Hence it is proved that Privatization will lead to less corruption.

We are missing the point here, The private sector is different from the govt sector because of the rules implemented in the firm. For suppose in govt sector we have the job guarantee there is not much pressure to fulfill objectives but in private every person irrespective of their cadre assigned with objectives, so they work to fulfill them. So if we implement some changes in rules the govt sector can also see corruption less environment as losing the business for the private not healthy solution for this.

Ofcourse, privatisation results in less corruption. As far I observed most of the government employees offer curroption because of no strict rules and regulations, where as private sector follows strict rules and regulations.

But, in private sectors there will not be any job security as public sector. And everyone wanna get employment in public sector.

In my opinion, the first question is why we need the privatisation? Is it mainly because of the corruption in the government sector or because of the inefficiency of the governance? If corruption is the main reason then I think we are on the wrong track because privatisation is not the solution to the corruption. We have the examples of Satyam and 2G scams. Therefore, the solution of the corruption is the good governance, a good judicial system, stringent law and order system. So rather focussing on the privatisation we should find the root-cause of the corruptions and its solutions. And I believe that one of the root causes of the corruptions is the integrity of people whether they are government officials or they are common people. The other major issues are poor judicial system, weak law and order system. So until and unless people will not care about their moral and ethics values, until and unless we will not reform the judicial systems and until and unless we will not have a stringent law and order system, corruption is never going to end.

Therefore, I would like to conclude my opinion with some key points:.

1. We should stop giving and taking the bribes whatever the cost we have to pay for.

2. Please, don't blame the system and don't wait for the others rather start taking the initiatives in removing the corruptions.

Yes, privatization leads to less corruption because of the fact that the Chairman or CEO of private corporates stick on to stringent rules as they have to gain dividends from the organization, unlike government companies. There are no owners in the government Companies so they will be too liberal hence privatization is necessary.
