Of course, this is not the question to be asked that is it necessary to eradicate the polythene bags from the market. From quite a time the problems arising due to plastic bags have been seen. These are taking a gigantic shape day by day. Floods in the cities due to the heavy rains, stray animals choking to death due to consumption of poly bags, poisonous fumes evolving in the environment due to the burning of the bags, the soil becoming less fertile due to the dumping of these poly bags and many more health hazards which are really concerning and need to be taken care of. What alternatives do we have? yes, of course, we have many alternatives, like using paper bags, while going for shopping carrying a bag which can ultimately carry our things and much more.

According to my opinion, the polythene bags should be banned, because the polythene bags are a kind of non-biodegradable and non-recyclable material.

Although, it's considered to be a very useful and convenient thing in our day to day life to utilize the polythene bags. However, It is a major cause of pollution and also causes fatal to all the living beings.

People should educate and spread the awareness of reduction of plastics and can opt for alternatives like paper bags, clothes bags etc. Which are eco-friendly in nature.

In order to control the pollution, the government must take initiatives and efforts to keep the environment clean.

Everyone should take an effort to keep the environment clean pollution-free.

At last, I want to say, Avoid Polythene.

Jai Everyone My Name Is Satyaa.

Dear All Friends We Are Here To Discuss On the Serious Topic Polythene bags should be banned.

Not only human beings but also animals are affected by polythene and nature.

In daily life, we see many people throw polythene on the road without thinking about its effects and results.

Stray animals Eat it from rubbish and waste materials it is the cause of death because they don't digest in the stomach.

We should use renewal resources instead of none renewal like polythene plastic.

It is the cause of soil pollution and Water pollution.

If we burn it it releases harmful gases like so2 and co2 which is the cause of the greenhouse effect.

At last, I would like to say that we should use jute and cotton bags instead of polybags.

Hello friends.

According to my opinion, polythene bags should be banned because polythene is harmful in many ways such as.

1) When polythene is burned it produces many harmful gases which cause air pollution and when we breathe, it affects our respiratory system.

2) polythene is non-biodegradable. It takes many years in degradation which causes soil pollution and result is that fertility of the soil is decreased.

3) Many peoples after using polythene they throw it and when these polythene bags consumed or eat by the animal such as cow, dog. It causes cancer.

4) if we recycle polythene it requires a lot of money.

At last but not the least, I suggested that we have to replace polythene bags with the reusable bags such as jute bags.

Thanks.

Ban of polythene bags is really very necessary because it has so many bad effects in environment and ecosystem:-

1) It is non-biodegradable.

2) If it us burnt, it releases harmful and toxic gases which can cause lung problems and even envoke cancer cells.

3) If it is dumped on land then the soil there will become infertile as its chemicals will kill essential microorganisms and if any animals like cows, dogs consumes it then they may die.

3) If polythenes are dumped in water bodies then they cause the death of aquatic flora and fauna.

So, polythene bags must be banned.

Instead of them jute bags can be used.

However now a days many biodegradable plastics are invented our government should look forward for using them.

Thank you.

Yes, there is an urgent need to ban polythene bags because they are destroying the environment more than anything. People are using polystyrene bags widely not only for carrying purpose but also for dumping waste.

Firstly, a polythene bag takes thousands of years to decompose fully into earth. Due to this piles of waste will be formed on earth. Also poor animals are the major victims of polyethene bags. Without knowing the harmful effects of plastic, they are taking in plastic bags with food which is very dangerous to the health of animals. Polyethene is harmful to mankind as well because food packed in polyethene bags may cause cancer. Government should choose an alternative to polyethene industries to set up an another industry.

Greetings to all,

As per the topic, polythene should must be banned. According to me, it must be banned as soon as possible. Our government should make a very strict rule on the consumption of polythene. And one more thing I want to add here is, people should also aware about how polythene is unbalancing our environment. Not Only government will focus on it people should also understand about it. Advertisement company should make an ad on the consumption of polythene like we see on Cancer. Two days ago I read in newspaper that Bengaluru announced a complete ban (gazette notification) that polyethylene bags is not allowed in any shops except plastic for export, packaging materials for use in forestry, milk packets and hospitals.

Hi everyone,

In my view, polythene should be banned and be remained banned! Ban of polythene came into picture when a major flood disaster that hit Mumbai on 26th July 2005. Not all but, most of the people are unaware of the fact that polythene or plastic neither gets dissolved nor it decomposes. Unaware of this fact, people threw all the plastic bags in their drainage pipes or in the chambers, that led to the blockage of the drain pipes and, cause the reason for the flood. When the authorities came to know about this they immediately asked people to "refuse polythene bags".

An alternative could be to use bags made of cloth. Also, these bags cause harm to animals, as they eat the food items wrapped in plastic or as such.

Yes, the government must ban polythene bags.

Polythene bags are non-bio degradable hence it leads to soil erosion.

Instead of polythene bags, we need to use cloth bags, conducting some roadshows and seminars on this and by bringing awareness among people.

We can reduce the use of polythene bags.

Among all countries china is in the first position to damage marine life by dumping wastes in the seas and oceans, the china government has taken the decision that. : "they announced that 5 small bottles=2big bottles=10 polythene bags=one bus ticket "by this method they are trying to reduce plastic waste.

If the Indian government introduce not only the polythene bags but also the garbage is cleaned up.

Hi everyone

The use of polythene has been a great issue these days.
In my opinion, use of polythene should be banned because it has only one merit but has n number of demerits. Before some days there was a news regarding the death of cows which is due to eating of these polythenes.
And another main reason is that when the polythenes are thrown away, it makes the soil very difficult to absorb the water, as a result the level of water is reducing tremendously.

Nowadays paper bags are available everywhere, so we can use it plentily as it is eco-friendly and has no harmful effects on humans.

And if we use polythene, we should follow the 4R principle I.e., Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Recover.
