Polyethene is made by two words that is poly and ethane. Poly means many and ethene it's a carbon compound. Usage of more polythene bags are very much harmful these are not degraded easily. Instead of polythene bags, using easily biodegradable, eco-friendly materials are so much useful. And also so many animals also eat it and die. Not only this but also to global warming is increased day by day. And also it causes soil pollution, air pollution due to burning. So, polythene bags must be banned.

In my opinion, plastic bags are a slow poison to our environment, soil, animals etc. We should totally avoid use of plastic bags to save our coming generation. In grocery shops, vegetables shops, fruits shops uncountable shops, plastic bags are given. Why we take it please discourage plastic bags and make cotton bags for keeping vegetables, dals, onions, potatoes etc.
There should be very strong fines for selling, manufacturing, using plastic bags.
All are requested to avoid plastic bags.

Hai guys!
The problems arise with Polythene bags is:.
1. It decreases the underground water levels because the used bags forms a layer on the earth surface.
2. These bags are very harmful to the animals.
As they ate the eatables with polythene covers.
Polythene covers also sometimes may useful for us in different ways like, while preserving the vegetables, fruits etc.
So, here my point is we need take strict measures on the usage of polythene bags but, we can't completely ban them.

Yes, Plastic bags should be banned.
Because a single plastic bag can take up to 1000 years to decay completely which makes the bags stay in environments longer. More and more people around the world are getting aware of environmental issues surrounding plastic bags.
One of the main disadvantages of plastic bags is that they are not renewable, it is made of petrochemicals, a non-renewable source of energy.
So, will banning them make cities and oceans cleaner and help the environment.

Polythene is a non biodegradable polymer. Thus a polythene bag will live longer than humans, nearly after 100 years polythene bags start to degrade. Ban of polythene will be beneficial for environment for sure but also for people. More use of cloth bags and paper bags will come into picture, thus our age old traditional khadi bags will be used. Thus will increase the income of local hand weavers. Good replacements for polythene will come into picture benefiting mankind.
Thank you.
Thank you.

In my opinion polythene bags shouldn't be banned, I agree to all the ones saying it is not biodegradable. But polythene bag is unique its properties are such that it can be reused, recycled. Our perspective on banning polythene bag is because people throw polythene bags recklessly in the environment, which causes lot of problem. But if we improve upon law and make rules strict, polythene bags are best, also much cheaper then other substitutes available for polythene bags.

I think polythene bags shouldn't be banned! It's one of the few important things which help to carry substances like wet garbage, liquids etc. Even if alternatives to carry food and liquid are steel and aluminium vessels, they are too expensive than plastic. Many polythene bags are even recyclable and if treated with proper care can provide great help to carry things. Also due to its property of getting folded, after its use it can be stored for reuse whenever required.

Polythene bags must be banned because when a polythene bag is burnt it pollutes the environment. I have also seen many people throwing the polythene bags on the roads, the cows and buffaloes eat these bags and they also die, polythene bags are also causing harm to the animals as well as environment. As a responsible citizen we should encourage the people not to use polythene bags and we should tell them to use jute bags. Since jute bags are recyclable.

Hi, Everyone.
For my side, I think polythene bags should be completely banned because there are various demerits of this. And only one merit ie we can carry the things we bought. So it can be replaced by jute bags and paper bags. It's good for our environment.
But use of polybag can be harmful in many ways.
When it burns it provides harmful ashes to the environment.
Many animals die because of eating polybags.
And it's non-biodegradable too.

Hi friends,
In my opinion, all the people know poly bags are very dangerous but they are accepting because of they lazy to carry a cloth cover.
So I just Want to tell you something put the counters to buy good and used polythene covers, and next they need to seek the covers also for second handed.
And one more thing is increase the price of plastic covers and don't give the covers for free.
Then the people change and environment will change.
