Hi.
What I feel is each and every region of this world has risen from their base which is the traditions. But that was a long time ago. The lifestyle changed. From a particular region's traditions, we have started to follow other region's ones. We are in a global world. So I don't think declining of tradition is an issue to be concerned about. Our traditions began vanishing from the day we gained freedom. Today we are living in a world where we define each and every aspect scientifically and not traditionally. We live according to our conditions and not following any tradition. We do what we believe and that becomes our tradition. Today the world have such an attitude. And that is never a bad THING I guess. In this era of a world much faster than we believe, tradition can be anything. No person in this world can be defined as we think because they have their own traditions.

My point of view, states that Indian culture is not decaying. Our culture taught us to bow in front of elders as a sign of respect. To treat our guests with respect ' athithi devo Bava' to help the poor and needy. To chant God's name and meditate in silence. I do believe blend of Indian and western culture is good because now I can see woman going for education, they are just not confine to kitchen. Equal respect for human beings irrespective of caste greed and gender. Freedom in thoughts is also important. Dressing sense never really matters. Rightly said never judge a book by its cover so even a person with western dress might have respect for his homeland. It's not always the outward appearance but the inside you which matters by your thoughts words and actions. There may be people who are decaying it but they are not necessarily the ones with broad minded thoughts.

Hi everyone,
I would like to add few points on "Indian culture is decaying". Well, we all have grown up seeing our customs and enjoying our traditions like festivals, marriages and even few superstitions. Our culture is well placed and protected in our blood. However, we get to experience much more of diverse cultures nowadays due to sources like media, social gatherings, international competitions and so on. We need to catch up with the growing India.
There are many more things to see outside our culture which spread positiveness and inspiration among the youth of the society. There is no harm in welcoming few legitimate customs which can enhance our well being, I suppose. Thus, I would say that instead of arguing on protecting our culture and integrity, let us embrace the good things from various cultures while respecting our own heritage.
Thank You.

Hi.
According to my perspective, our culture is not decaying. If it had been, it would have demolished by this time. If it had been decaying since Mughal or British attacked India it would not have a small trace of it by this time. But our culture could fight and stand still despite all these.
Our country has protected and respected all the philosophy and knowledge of our culture, no matter how many ever countries conspired to destroy the precious knowledge and tried to impose their culture on us.
I agree with a fact that some generation particularly youths are more attracted towards Western culture. I I hope in the certain point of their life they would be enlightened by the peacefulness attained by following our culture. The most brighter side is that Western people are adopting our culture and are willing to have the precious knowledge.

In today's world, the consolidated effect of modernity, the picture of man as the rational autonomous individual endowed with free will, is complete. The individual is individualistic: self-interested, egoistic, clamoring for more and more power, wealth and social status. He has stopped thinking about life considered as a whole.
There is no overall spiritual meaning to life. His life is divided between purposes which are contingently thrust upon him by his environment, requiring fulfillment with a speed and efficiency which occlude any evaluation of their meaning for life as a whole. To live creatively, no doubt one needs a matrix of facts, knowledge and techniques.
But though such a framework is logically necessary, it is not sufficient. Creativity is the very dynamic of living, and living is an artful quest of the meaning of life.

Firstly, I welcome you all.
It is our only culture who welcomes every single person to openly share his thoughts, and makes changes for themselves according to his/her own comfort. It is only our culture who taught to bow down to our elders. And it is our culture which says do change if the change is good for you and for society. And it is our culture who says to change a society you have to change yourself irst, on your mind level. Swami Vivekananda says" for you own and nation growth you have to adopt Indian culture but also have to learn from Western how they open in their thoughts, decisions, innovations, and in equality". So clothes and web are not decaying our culture, our culture depends on our own thoughts and who we really are.
Conclusion- our culture is not decaying, it is upon us to make our culture more better than it is.

Yes, our culture is decaying day by day. Mainly we are responsible for this decaying. If any of our Indian can adopt something from west, he or she takes pride for it. And in same case, if he had some ancient cultures due to good family background he or she tried hard to hide the fact from others and feel ashamed. In every part of our culture like music, movie, language are decaying. We thought that if one knows good English then he is very educated. Bt if inspite of huge knowledge in other fields only for weakness in English he or she is ignorant of us. This is our ignorance. Many words of English has been adapted from Sanskrit-our most ancient language. The most astonishing thing is that we are talking about how western culture decaying our culture and we are giving or compelled to give our opinion in English language.

Hi, everyone.
I agree that our culture is decaying because we neglect our culture and tradition and we are not following it. Now we are adopting the western culture blindly without knowing whether it is good or bad. We have adopted the western culture like live together, open relationship and having sex before marriage which is not good for our society and our children. Adopting these culture is responsible for increasing the crime rate.
If we want to live happily, we have to bring our culture back. We should make awareness program so that people can understand the greatness of our culture and tradition. We should respect and follow our culture. And I am not saying that we should not adopt the western culture, but we should respect their culture and should accept their culture only if that is good for our society.
