In my perspective, one nation has its own advantages and disadvantages. Advantages are government does not have to worry about elections of a particular state that is to come in the tenure of central government and it can plan welfare programs more confortably. Saves lots of amounts of money. Money flow can be minimised, As election commisioner is independent, he can act more stringently and it would be difficult to mobilise money all around country. Disadvantages are if the elected government is unstable, it is possible the house be dissolved as it happend in 1979, 1991, 1998. If would be big blow for regional parties of certain which formed their assemblies with absolute majority and has to end up dissolved. And if certain state assemblies are unstable and ended up for dissolution let us say 2 years, and state can not have elected govt till next elections, there would be autocracy by governers and beaurocrats. Welfare programmes during the presidents rule rests in the hands of presidents and governers without discussion, they can pass the laws. If the central government does not like a particular party coming to power in a hung assembly (no majority for any party) , governor gives chance to party that cannot form govt, it can indirectly rule the state through governor by saying that no one got majority and declares governor rule. If an mp or mla passes away the seat remains vacant till end of the tenure of central government, so there would be no representation for people for those constituencies. I conclude the it may be cost efficient and less complex if there is one nation one election, but it is better than being under governors rule with out any reresentation for the people.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Pallavi Sharma.

We have to discuss topic one India one nation. As we all know India is a democratic country and people choose their leader by election.

There are so many elections are conducted in 5 year and according to me our almost 2 years is waste on all the processing of election. It takes alot of money of government and time of public. With the help of one India one election it save both time and money. Government have more time to focus on public affairs. Our previous president APJ Abdul Kalam support this and according to me this is very helpful for India.

I think it is quite difficult as India is a huge country and it is very difficult for one government to manage the country. One government in the sense of central government. Some of the local issues and decisions must be taken by the state government for quick resolution and development. One country one election thought is useful for small countries not for demographically large countries like India.

One India One Election is good but nowadays our country politicians are totally corrupted excepted few. So my view is that election must be conducted once in a year. We have to refresh our government by electing new persons. When we give our country to bad politicians, then our country will be in danger. So we have to elect the person very carefully. When we elect a wrong person also it must be changed within a year. I know it takes huge time, but we citizens are spending more time on unnecessary things, we can spend some time in choosing a leader for our country. Our country, we will protect us always.

Hello Friends,

I am very happy to know about your views towards this thought. I believe that it would be best to have One India One Election but as an individual it's hard to accept it. Because India is demographically large country. There are many pros and cons it has especially money we use for such elections. Yes we would save money by implementing it but many people those who are not economically and financially strong even not much knowledge they have so certainly they would suffer alot for every things like justice. We might get large help from One India One Election and can save money but if large number of people gets injustice what we would with that money, People those who who work for their survival would hardly get benefit from it. As an alternative I believe that to avoid the expense and time on elections our Govt should start Online Voting system. They can implement it and even we increase the voter too from anywhere by giving rights to vote from any state or country to his particular region. We all know that we have had an average of 70% voting but we can increase it to 90% if we would start online voting system. We would save money either. If a person has rights to votes for his particular leader from any of the states or country he stays then we would get a right leader and also it would be for great cause.

But One India One Election would be very hard for ordinary man.

Thanks & Regards,

Akansha Nigam.

The best I think is in INDIA itself, I mean why we need to learn from other countries when our state wise population is more than compared to them stand alone. Its Uttar Pradesh, how they do it, simple! in stages.

So one election in INDIA is totally possible. We just have to do it in stages, not one day. It will change the country for better.

Hello All,

One India One Election is indeed a productive Idea for our country. Being the biggest democracy of the world we are facing election in every six months. Panchayat elections, Nagar palika elections, Various state elections and then General elections. Time, money, Manpower used to conduct so many elections can be saved and utilized where it is required by conduction One Election.

Hi.

I am malatesh in my view, It is right decision to grow our country.

One India one election means both state and Central govt election happened same time.

Pros:
When happened both state and Central govt election suddenly expenses was comes down in such case that amount we can invest in economic growth for our country.

Cons:
India currently having more than 125 crores population so it very hard to handle each and every place in election time.

I think that for India, it is very difficult because India has population approx 130 crores. If there is no state then how will we able to solve problem effectively that is handled by state government. If we have small problem like drainage problem and other small issue so we can not able solve as soon as possible that state government is easily handled.

One biggest problem is that Indian constitution is a written constitution. So how our government change this policy. It is totally against our constitution.

Hi, all.

The topic given to us is one India one Election. Its quite good concept to implement because it works in the way to reduce the corruption rate during the elections. In every 5years it born with a new government having the aim to improve the whole country in a single race. It's not the thing about one country one government its about the election. So the result after each 5years is quite crystal clear which enhance the decision capabilities of the public about the government So it's a good step.
