Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my thoughts on the topic of managerial skills and the ongoing debate about classroom learning versus real-world experience. As someone who's been in the management field for a while, I firmly believe that practical experience trumps what you learn in the classroom.
Sure, textbooks and lectures provide a solid foundation, but they can never fully prepare you for the complexities of managing real people and real situations. In my journey, I've encountered countless scenarios that no classroom discussion could have replicated. Dealing with interpersonal conflicts, making tough decisions, and adapting to unexpected challenges have been the best teachers.
So, while classroom education is important, don't underestimate the invaluable lessons you gain from practical experience. They shape you into a more effective and well-rounded manager.

Hello everyone, I'm here to speak about the given topic
I assume classroom learning is theoretical-based and has no practical exposure. So assuming that I can say yes I agree with this statement, practical application of knowledge especially for a manager is very important as quick thinking, problem-solving, ability to think out of the box etc are very important to deal with certain situation which arises in the real business world, one can't go by the books. Of course, as a new beginner one needs to have a basic understanding of scenarios one can face in the real business world hence in an MBA curriculum one is made to study not only theory but also given assignments to do with groups, simulations, scenario-based case studies etc to test one practical application of knowledge.

You are talking about Dhirubhai Ambani but have you think of Lakshmi Mittal the 6th Richest Man in the world and you will be astonished to find that he is only a commerce graduate still he make it to the top. He didn't Join B-School or Management Institution. What I means to say that it Live Experience that can attain you to a greater height your Fundamental knowledge from classroom can only helps you in understand the basics but only practical knowledge ca step you to ladder of success.

According to me the managerial skills that we learn in classroom acts as a base when performing in the real world. Nobody can play a game without knowing the rules. Thus one's you know the basics (rules) , anybody can implement the skills at the workplace and make the best use of the managerial skills learnt. Classroom teachings helps to generate a fair idea about what can be done in a particular situation regardless of, the situations are not always the same. As far as the experience is concerned it might not be wrong saying that, the experience which we get from our workplace helps us to be successful only if we implement the managerial skills we have learnt in the classroom.

A very warm good morning to all of you. According to me class room education gives you the basics to handle different situation which anyone can face. But live experience helps us to get a border prospective. It is also said that "failure is the stepping stone of success". It is automatic that when you face a situation in real n fail you will try to analyse it that why I didn't met with success? What was wrong? What suits the situation best and in what could have been done to get success. But it is not possible to get experience of everything in real and then solve the problem. So both are necessary as both of them add to your knowledge. Thanks.

From my point of view classroom education creates more managerial skills, we learn all type of theoretical knowledge from our classroom, if we are not knowing anything about the subject, we can't practice in our work. Because of that there are many business schools to bring future managers from there we can easily learn how to handle a situation, what all things we need to do when we become a manager.

Hello friends, for me, the managerial skills that we learn in the classroom is the theoretical part. When someone asks you about skills then here you can explain properly but if you have the practical knowledge then you can perform in a better way. If you have the experience then you can handle difficult to difficult situations.
That doesn't mean the managerial skills that we learn from classes have no value. All the top tycoons have MBA degrees from reputed universities. From these studies, we know how to behave professionally, how to manage groups and how to solve the personal issues of employees.
The thing that matters for a manager that how to manage the team. If the employees of the company are happy with the manager's work, that doesn't matter whether the manager has the knowledge of managerial skills or not.
Thank you.

Managerial skill taught class room for some purpose. Because these are defined my expertise, managerial skill we learnt in class room can help in our particle life. But experience is also important as the same because it will be tech you to tackle the different kind of situation happening in our world. Managerial skill you need experience and this experience will get you strong when you are class room training is to strong and managerial skill in college or school we have practical. Managerial skill lesion most important than theoretical thought.

Challenging work can be done by improving our managerial skills and these skills are improved by getting practical knowledge. To fulfill the corporate work requirements we have to know how to handle emergency situation and work pressure. Classroom knowledge is also essential to show the way how to work/handle situations but practically we should go through that situation.
Also to be a good manager or team leader the person should have confidence with full of positive energy have faith in his team members, motivate them to do work effectively, and be with them as not only a boss but a guide who understands them & told them the requirements of corporate world.

Good evening to one and all, we know that 'EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER'. In this fast growing technology we do see many successful people, all of them are not educated. It is only the way they grow for example the founder of dosa plaza merely do not possess any great educational background but he is a very successful businessman. He is not a management graduate his skills and zeal made him successful and with that experience alone he has been teaching several management graduates in a reputed institute.
I do say that it is only the person's zeal and hard work brings him success but not degrees.
