It is good for India because India is a developing country. It increase the awareness, motivate to the country. Country know about produt and product value with new feature. Other country know about those country through patent. It increase the profit and open many opportunities for country. It is depend on R&D.

I totally agree with all the points being said on the favour of the patent bill in India, as it would benefit the new generation inventors to patent their technology in the country itself rather than going on for some higher approval outside the country. The patent bill would help the inventors safeguard their inventions from being used illegally by any other person or country. Like if an author publishes a book, he gets the rights of the book to sell it to anybody or distribute it for free. Same way patent bill would prove a great boost to the development of our economy!

Patent bill would somehow investors, entrepreneurs to go for inventions and give priority to new ideas. As of we know 33% of GDP is increased through SSI, so it can work like a boost or inspiration for them and in turn to the country.....

As we all know, patenting anything has both good and bad sides to it. There are two types of goods, consumer staples, which are required by all as necessary, and consumer discretionaries, which are luxuries, that everyone cannot afford. For a country like india, where more than 40% of people are below poverty line, it would be unjust on our part to patent the consumer staples, like health care, medicine. We can't make someone reap the benefits of their patents, keeping the lives of the poor people at stake. But at the same time, patenting of technologies like those used in the mobile industry would certainly spur the economy by encouraging research in that field.

Hi every one.
Patent bill is a very good for the India, as patent act provides the security for inventor, motivate by giving rewards in the form of benefits. It's a need of human being/nation whether it is in the form of money or publicity of brand. In case of patenting necessary things like medicine in Indian patent act their is provision that no one can patent medicine which will going to use for life threading diseases and government have right to off patent any medicine in emergency situations. So in conclusion patent bill is need to encourage researchers in R&D sector in India in turn to increase the financial involvement by government.

Hello friends, before saying anything, first I want to explain the exact meaning of this so called patents bill. Patent bill, or patent act is an act which provides an exclusive right granted for inventions, which may b a product or a new idea which provides new direction in doing some thing more innovative.
Yes I agree with this that it is good for india, as well as other contries too, as it is justice with the inventors. They have a recognition and full right over there product or idea, and this inspires them a lot.
Although its good in some way, but somewhere, common man is suffering from it, as they had to pay more cost for the products under this patent bill.
Even if a man is inventing something independently but few days later, then he won't have any right over it, as the person who have already invented it, can claim a case on him.
So at the end I wold like to conclude by saying that its a good act as it provides inspiration to common man and the inventor too, but it should not increase etc burden on common man.
Thanks to all.

India is land of many rare plant and animal species which are endemic to Indian soil. Not only this we Indians hve many traditional knowledge's in our old vedas and puranas. Either it may be the medicinal use of TULSI or turmeric, plastic surgery of great shushurata or recent basmti rice issue. If we don't have patent then our traditional knowledge will be used by some foreign MNCs to their profit without asking its real owner. SO patent is must to conserve and maintain our endemic resources from its commercial use.

Patent bills or patent rights are nothing but the rights given on the new discovery or invention done to a person. People living in remote areas are unaware of such things. They discover new ideas or new things but they remain undiscovered. So government should organise some awareness programme so that people can be aware of patent rights and rights should be issued on the name of the person who has discovered.

I Think the Patents Bill is good provided a layman should be aware of this. Patents bill is Really good because it help to get a profit from someone invention. And is much needed in country like India. If we see many of over Bollywood movies are copied from some another movie or it is the remake of any old movie. This kind of situation the Patents Bills really help a lot to original inventor of product.
This is was a simple example which I shared with you but there can be more cases with different -different product. So Patents Bill is Good for India.
