Is the Business of Business only Business?

Well gentlemen, I beg to disagree with those of us going in favor of this because business means transaction of product or services against money for earning profit. That is appropriate but turns devastating when 'Profit' becomes the sole purpose or business of BUSINESS.

For instance, our company is selling our own manufactured LED bulbs in very low prices in a country where these bulbs were rarely known and ultramodern. Our market now is on the way to touch new height of sales, but we are constantly ignoring the technical faults, complained by customer. Imagine what'll happen, soon we'll lose our potential market. Therefore QUALITY is important.

I disagree with the above. Statement. Because business itself doesn't means earning. Profitis are the outcomes of a successful business. But for building a proper succeeding market to a product the company must satisfy the customer. If initially the customers are fulfilled. With a product. Then they definitely doesn't step backwards in investing a much more price next time. Which indeed brings profits for the company and demand for the products. Hence as far. As I am concerned businesses is about earning trust of buyers and slowly expanding its roots for more profit.

I have read all the views written here and now I want to present my views on this topic.

Everyone said that big organizations do so much for the society just like they open schools, hospitals etc.

But since, the only motive of each organization is to earn profit and that's only possible by standing in the society for a long time. Therefore, they can't forget about the society.

That means they do for the society but only for their profit.

Yes, they keep customer's need in their mind but why?

Because if they don't take care of customers then, customers will not buy their product.

This means that they have to do for society whether they want or not because only then they can stand for a long time and increase their selling. And this will definitely be profitable.

So, in my opinion, business of business is the business.

Every business motive is to earn profits and to gain market share. There is nothing wrong with that because they are investing money, efforts in the business and expecting return for it. So, Business of Business is only Business.

But the in the case of companies they are using natural resources in their manufacturing process. So, they are supposed to take the responsibility and do something for the society. Here, Business of Business is more than Business.

First of all I would like to say thank to all my friends who are involved in discussion.

As per my opinion if a person think only for business aspect then it is going to be wrong way. But a person is thinking business of business then he could be the following skills which is made successful business path.

1. Social Responsibility towards the society.

2. Satisfy the customer needs and wants.

3. Good interpersonal relationship towards the social and business.

4. Marketing skills.

When a person have a above skill he can make business of business in effective manner.

Dear Friends,

Every business is for profit making only and all after sale service, customer retention/satisfaction, CSR activities etc are for business purpose only. Business of business is the demand of today's market.

E.g.

A mobile company is selling mobile and provide after sale service till warranty period. After that make business from their service center - business of business. Further company give a new mobile in exchange of old mobile - Again it's business of business.

Taking electronic waste back is CSR activity of company and selling new mobile is business.

I believe that business of business is the only business if it involves social responsibility and sense of customers need and services. Gaining profit is soul of the business but gaining trust of the customers, make business live long and more profitable in long run. Every consumer have a different mind set at the time of purchasing but they have common expectations and views in terms of post sales services. Giving better services and making customers happy can be a key of success and is a contribution towards good and satisfied society. Hence in my view business of business is the only business is not a good idea in long term running.

According to me business of business is not a business when the business man only thinks.

For his profit without considering customer needs and social welfare because without them a business can not be established.

And business of business is business when the businessman consider all the needs of customers as he is first a person who leaves in society because if we satisfy need of customer then only business become successful and gain more profit.

For a long time survival of business in market business of business should not a business because in competition world business must be fair and square, and consumer oriented otherwise standing in market for long time is very difficult. Once they can be cheated with public but next time not possible. Ya every businessmen wants to earn more and more profit but they should fulfill consumer requirement otherwise consumer throw out them.

Business is completely business of business. This days all we ever think about is how to maximize profits but maximizing profits has to do with satisfying consumer wants and needs because if the consumer is not satisfied with what was delivered, they will never be sales therefore where there is no sales there is no profits. So, business is business of business and not business of business where sales varies. Thank you.
