Hi friends.
In my opinion management owes both from art and science. Science relates to facts, principles and experiments. Art relates to a platform to express the skills. When both comes together, it becomes management. Bringing the principles & concepts into action is management. Without artistic skills management concepts cannot be communicated in the corporate world and without concepts skills are of no use.

Management is both science as well as arts because science is systematised body of knowledge whereas art is systematised application of knowledge. We all know that to succeeding management must acquire the knowledge of science & the art of applying it.

Management is like a coin with both sides, it can be regarded as science and at the same time art science because: it deals with collection of data and hypothesis which must be done scientifically and also systematically and on the other hand art because: it requires some basic body of knowledge and it also gives room for creativity.

Management is both an art and science. This is because one must possess a working knowledge before one can practice. The science of Management is the possession of proven facts or working knowledge and it's also the practice of the acquired or proven knowledge to solve a problem. Well I most said that its both art and science because it deal with utilizing resources and humans/as for art it management and encourage good managing processes like leading, staffing, controlling, coordinating, organizing as well as planning and for science its deals with certain actions which predicted that the organisation or firm most put to update systematic regulation of errors and managing.

I think that management in a broad term is both art as well as science. Nowadays technology also dominate in all field as management key so we have to familiar with new science improvements. Only art of dealing with clients and manage employees, not management. We have to take a smart way.

Hi all,
In my view I would say management is both an art and a science.
Its an art because, one's skill in the management of a firm is been shown in his/her management of the business through the use of planning, controlling, directing and coordinating whiles is a science because its faster and easier since everything is now technologically accessed, one can be said to have a good management.
