Is India ready for Electric Vehicles?

In my opinion, yes, India is ready for the electric vehicle, because, among the 20 most polluted cities, 13 are from India. Pollution caused by vehicle is one of the top contributors of air pollution. The electric vehicle is Eco friendly. Also, India has been manufacturing and successfully using electric motives that can pull train coaches of 1000 of gonna of the load. This has not only saved the fuel like petrol and diesel but a contribution towards the environment. According to manufacturing and using an electric vehicle is not a big deal for India. And according to a report by Niti Aayog, India can save 64% of passenger road-based mobility relates energy demand and 37% of carbon emission by 2030 by using electric vehicles.

Friends as we all know our today's topic is ' Is India ready for electrical vehicle'. In my opinion yes India is ready because in various cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Chennai, Kolkata etc the quality of air becoming noxious day by day due to which common people are suffering from different respiratory disease. Polluted air causes irritation in eyes, redness in eyes, sore throat, affect the digestive system, affect lungs and it is very dangerous for Sugar, BP and Asthma patients by the use of electric vehicle we can control the air pollution and can decrease our dependency on Fossil fuels like coal, petroleum and other petroleum products.

According to me India should switch to EV's. Recently in some polluted cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata.

As according To a report in the list of 20 most polluted cities, 13 are from India. So it is the need of time to switch to EV's gradually as to control air pollution.

We all know that switching to EV's suddenly will not work at all but we have to move us towards the electric vehicles.

First of all, I would like to pay attention to the topic of Electric vehicles in India.

To think about EVs is good for India.

India is the second-largest population country in the world so they need of vehicles is very high.

There is a very huge problem to pollution in India so EVs are helping us to reduce air pollution, noise pollution around our environment.

In June 2019 the gov. Of India announced that only EVs will be sold in India from the year 2030.

By using EVs, we can reduce the dependence on other countries for oil import.

But electric vehicle's Price is very high. It is not affordable for many people in India.

And also required a number of charging stations in the near future. So it a big problem for India to build them within some time.

Today we are discussing India ready for Electric Vehicles.

Firstly, India is ready for the electric vehicles. Many of car is launched in India.

As there is no infrastructure (charging centre, EV vehicle maintenance centre etc) in India for EVs it is one of major reason. EVs are not considered good for long distances as they require charging of 5to 6hours after every 200 km drive.

The EV car is moving on road.

Lastly, I want to said that India is ready EV. So in future many of Electric vehicles is developed that.

Yes, India is ready for electric vehcile use. Government is promoting the use of electric vehicles in India by giving subsidy and lower tax. It gives guideline to company to produce electric vehicles in India by giving some rebate. Telsa is planning to launch electrical vehicle in India by 2022. It is one of the best intitiative of government to make pollution free environment. Electrical vehical is also cost effective less maintainence requirement. Already in India e rickshaw is surpassing the diesel/petrol auto and most of the buses in metro cities are using electrical vchicles and electrification of training is also taking place in India. So, yes India is taking step towards electrification of vehicles.

Good evening everyone. Today's topic is one of the most crucial topics of this time period. So, first of all in India is one of the most largely populated countries after china and in India, most people don't have a private car that's why a large number of people used to travel by public transport. Public transport usually consumes diesel and sometimes petrol so there is a large amount of air pollution takes place which was harmful to our health and as well as the environment. Apart from that cost of diesel and Petrols increasing day by day so this is a golden time to shift from fossil fuel consumed car to electric vehicle, it is the one and only option to save our Indian sub-continent as well as the world.

So when we apply this idea there were some challenges, like-.

1. Charging infrastructure: A report of the Indian govt says in India there is approximately 70000 pump in Otherside approx 2900 EV charging station are there.
2. Higher cost-In EV every part is valuable and the cost is higher if we compared with fossil fuel vehicle.
3. Lack of technology.
4. Large dependency on other countries. (especially in china).
5. Lack of skilled worker.
6. Possible disruption in the automobile sector.

Govt of India takes a lot of initiative.

Our focus areas-.

1. Create a charging infrastructure.
2.R&D in battery technology (shift from li ions).
3. EV education.

If we create those things and govt encouraged people to buy EV so there is a good future of EV in India because in the current scenario India is one of the most convertible markets in the world.

To know whether India is ready for electric cars or not people should first know what is electric vehicles. Electric vehicles, unlike conventional petrol and diesel vehicles, use one or more electric motors for propulsion. Electric vehicles have a battery that is charged through an electricity supply. The electric energy is then stored and used to power the electric motor.

According to a report by NITI Aayog,

India can save 64% of anticipated passenger road-based mobility-related energy demand and 37% of carbon emissions in 2030 by pursuing a shared, electric, and connected mobility future.

This would result in a reduction of 156 mega toes in diesel and petrol consumption for that year. At USD 52/bbl of crude, this would imply a net savings of roughly Rs 3.9 lakh crore (approximately 60 billion USD) in 2030. These figures clearly indicate an urgent requirement for the replacement of conventional vehicles with electric vehicles.

While prominent manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki India, Hero Electric Vehicles, Mahindra and Mahindra are already registered electric manufacturers in India, latest collaborations such as Suzuki and Toyota, are planning to launch electric vehicles in India.

On the same lines, India's first EV manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra has forged a partnership with Ford to develop electric mobility solutions that are affordable for Indian consumers.

Among the world's 20 most polluted cities in the world, 13 are in India. Vehicular pollution is one of the major contributors to air pollution. India is in a group of countries that has the highest particulate matter (PM) levels. Its cities have the highest levels of PM10 and PM2. 5 (particles with a diameter of 10 microns and 2.5 microns). These figures are six times more than the WHO "safe' limit of 25 micrograms and represent the exigency for Electrical Vehicles.

Electric vehicles are not only Environment Friendly but also Cost Effective as Government is incentivizing the use of Electric Vehicles by providing subsidies and lower motor taxes on EVs. Electric Vehicles are 100 per cent eco-friendly. They do not emit toxic gases or smoke in the environment which leads to global warming and helps to reduce pollution. As electricity is majorly produced from either renewable sources or from sources that emit no greenhouse gases thus EVs help in maintaining energy security by shifting dependence from non-renewable resources to renewable resources. Electric vehicles require less maintenance than conventional vehicles as there are fewer fluids (like oil and transmission fluid) to change and fewer moving parts. Electric vehicles are quieter to operate than gasoline-powered vehicles, leading to a reduction in noise pollution.

So, the answers is YES, India is ready for electric vehicles.

I didn't think that India is ready for electric vehicles as there is a lot of traffic in India so it's difficult to provide the electric vehicle facilities and as well as the cost of electric vehicles is also high as it runs on electricity it is rather costly than petrol, diesel because you not only drive the vehicle with electricity but you may use other vehicle facilities too or else if you go a long drive then it will cost you so much in your bill that comes from the electric car, so until any good scheme with less money on this electric vehicle will launch we must use the regular petrol, diesel-run vehicles only.
