Talking about the need of electic vehicle in India, yes India do require electric vehicle but if we talk about whether India is ready or not. I would like to show the other side of the coin still the major problem which India is facing is electric vehicle required charging and still there are not many such charging stations are avaible. Also, electric vehicle are not having powerful engine as compared to diesel and petrol vehicle and as we all know that India is a land of diversity, bu the term diversity I need to say about its geography as there are hills and mountains where these electric vehicles will not be able to create a good impact. Also, most Indians do prefer diesel and petrol cars as they are not much aware of electric vehicles and the other reasons is still many household don't have charging facility for electric cars and electric stations will charge some money for charging. Here, I would like to draw your attention towards a major problem as a person if I charging the vehicle then it will require sometime but for some person time is still a important factor while on the other hand petrol and diesel cars do require money but at the same time they don't require time as compare to electric vehicles. Talking about pollution now eco friendly fuels are been developed that emit less harmful gases as compare to other fuel.

Many reasons have been stated before this post, but I disagree with some of them as I don't think that India is ready for electric vehicles. Some of my friends have stated that because of the population we should move to EVs, but there are many other constraints too that matter a lot like do we have the proper infrastructure like charging points for these vehicles. If it will be planned that the charging stations will be made, then do we have that much area because there are many people in India who still don't have a place to live, the shelter for them. First-of-all, the Indian govt should facilitate them, and then think of EVs until then we can rely on CNGs which is a good option as per the present scenario and also we have CNG filling stations which ready to use.

Another reason why we should not go for EVs is that India is a developing country, so its citizens need speed which these EVs are not able to fulfil. They (public transport EVs) run max at the speed of 45kmph which is not enough. These vehicles need proper maintenance whereas nowadays, various brands are launching vehicles that need minimum maintenance. Also, EVs need minimum 3-4 hrs to charge and also they get discharged after every 200 km. So it's not a deal of profit or any kind of benefit.

So, from my point of view, India is not ready for EVs.

Thanks.

Hello, everyone,

Today, I’d like to talk about an important and timely question: Is India ready for electric vehicles?

India is a rapidly growing economy, and transportation plays a key role in our development. However, we still heavily rely on petrol and diesel, which are imported at high costs. This not only affects our economy but also contributes significantly to pollution.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are a cleaner, more sustainable alternative. The good news is, India is moving in the right direction. The government has introduced schemes like FAME II to provide subsidies on EVs, and many states offer additional benefits like road tax exemptions. Companies like Tata, Ather, and Ola Electric are already leading the way.

That said, there are still challenges—especially the lack of widespread charging infrastructure. Without accessible charging stations, adoption in rural or even semi-urban areas remains limited.

The government is also encouraging green energy at home by giving subsidies on solar panels, which can indirectly support EV charging as well.

In conclusion, India is on the path to becoming EV-ready with strong government policies, industry participation, and increasing public awareness, we are not far from a future where EVs become the norm.

Hi Everyone,

I want to express My thoughts " Is India ready for electric vehicles are not".

Electric vehicles (EVs) are seen as the future of mobility globally, but India faces unique challenges in adoption. while the Govt is pushing for EVs through policies like FAME(faster adoption and manufacturing of electric vehicles), the transition depends on infrastructure, consumer mindset and industry readiness

Rissing fuel prices & cost benefits :

. it has petrol/diesel high prices make EVs economically attractive in the long run.
. it has fewer maintenance costs (fewer moving parts in Evs).

Enviornmental & health benefits :
. In Evs are reduce air pollution (India has some of the world's most polluted cities).
. Despite ev's offering massive environmental and health benefits to India. with cleaner energy grids and better battery recycling, Evs can significantly cut pollution, reduce health care costs, and combat climate change

Conclusion:
> India is progressing towards Ev readiness, but challenges remain in infrastructure, cost, and consumer adoption. with strong policies, private investments, and technological advancements, India can accelerate its Ev transition in the next 5 - 10 years.

As we are knowing that India is a developing country since our childhood. Since electric vehicles have already been adopted by so many developed countries like Us, China so India must also adopt EVs as they are eco-friendly. EVs produces almost negligible noise which is the major concern with other conventional vehicles.

Since EVs donot use any fuel or liquid additives so there is no any chance of changing any parts of it because of the damage produced by the liquid additives. Also EVs have less parts compared to conventional vehicles so time to time maintenance is not required.

Since India is running electric train from long time before which is very much successful step as it is saving lot of fuel and also avoiding the pollution. So why can't India switch to EVs from conventional vehicles.

As we all know that nothing comes with 100 percent assurity so there are some points of concern also associated with EVs as it requires a large number of set up of electric charging unit. Also EVs do not accelerate at a faster rate. One of the major concern of EVs is the development of high power of battery as it requires a lot of time to get charged killing a lot of time.

Good evening everyone,

To say if India is ready for EVs or not, to answer this let's ask if any country is prepared for EVs or not, this is more suitable according to most of the surveys and charts we are still dependent on fossil fuels for most part of electricity generation which we need in charging the EV's battery and many other natural resources which are being used in the manufacturing of batteries and whole process of manufacturing of EV, whether it be directly or indirectly, all EV nowadays to say if any country is ready for EV the answer will be no let alone India no doubt our government is working hard to achieve such a noble cause in the reduction of pollution but as of now the actual work is not even started as per the vision of all the upcoming goals there's no doubt we are also working on the sector to reduce the use of fossil fuels but there is no good results globally, as of now any country is not able to reduce the amount of fossil fuel we use in electricity generation but instead it as only grown since last few decades but still there is a hope if not by 2030 then by 2040 we will not just be ready but will be seeing future of EV globally.

Electric vehicles are the most suitable alternative for vehicles running on fuel due to many reasons.

1) Petrol or diesel are natural resources and they are decreasing day by day and one day it will be finished completely so the need of the time is that we should shift towards others alternative to it like electric Vehicles.

2) The cost of petrol or diesel price also increasing day by day especially in India it is very high and if we talk about electric vehicles then they cost very low in comparison to diesel or petrol.

3) Also, fuel running vehicles create a lot of pollution and because of that we are getting so many diseases and if we look at the condition of our capital city Delhi then it is very difficult for us to breathe in the fresh air. So here the simple way is that we should now shift towards the electric vehicle as they are eco-friendly and do not create pollution.

4) Electric vehicle also saves us from noise pollution because they have very little sound in comparison to fuel running Vehicles.

5) Government has to pay so much taxes for purchasing crude oil from other countries that can also be reduced if we use electric vehicles.

In my point of view " INDIA IS READY FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES ".

So, Indian roads are currently dominated by petrol and diesel cars and bikes.

And only one percentage of total vehicles sale in India is electric out of which more than 90% of electric vehicles on India roads are slow speed electric scooter.

But the Indian Government and manufacturer or ambises.

Worldest leading car manufacture TESLA is also planning to launch electric cars in India soon.

And they started to develop the infrastructure like charging infrastructure development across cities and highways.

Highlightly and many companies are going to collaborate the investment for expanding charging networks.

And they going to intractive and increase awareness among customers about the benefits of electric vehicle.

One of the main components of EVS lithium which is not easily available in the world.

As per the report, India is depend on the import for EVS from Australia and South America.

But our in February as per the minister of mines more than 5.9 million times of lithium is founded in Jammu and Kashmir.

So, India is ready to showcase there electric vehicle in upcoming years.

No, it's not.

Although electric vehicles are 100 percent eco friendly. They do not emit any harmful gas and is good for environment. It reduces pollution. It is a good idea to introduce electric vehicles in India but India is not ready for this major change and there are many reasons regarding this.

First of all, electric vehicles need large charging stations which is difficult to build at every place of the country. Building charging stations need a lot of space, in India, even now many people don't have a safe place to live so our government should for this cause first. Second reason is that for every 200 km electric vehicles require 5 to 6 hours of charging. So for traveling long distances electric vehicles are not preferred. Even it's speed is also not so high. And if someone is getting late than they will surely not prefer this. Even many areas of our country are still not so developed. They do not have proper electricity supply, in that case charging of vehicle will be a major issue.

So, before installing electric vehicles there is a lot to be done. Only then we can say that India is fully ready for electric vehicles.

Thank you.

Hello Everyone.
My Name is Sandeep Kaur, I am going to present my point of view as No India is not ready for Electric Vehicles:

1. There is a lack of charging stations.
2. The cost of Evehicles is very high as compared to simple vehicles
3. many rural areas don't have much electricity
4. E vehicles are not good for long journeys as after full charge it cannot go long.
5. Indian roads are not very good for using these vehicles.
6. there are more chances of a blast of the battery and the possibility of firing.
7. Export taxes are higher in the case of Electric Vehicles.

Whether Evehicles are too costly but still, it has advantages as well.

1. It is best for preventing pollution which is done by fuel vehicles.
2. As it uses electricity so no need to use petrol.

So overall I want to conclude that if India wants to adopt it then they should focus on advancements of the infrastructure required as charging stations, roadways, long battery life etc. If India will make advancements in infrastructure and reduce the cost of electric vehicles then we can say that India is ready in future.
