Is an MBA necessary to succeed in life?

A person who want to do MBA according to me he should do from regular or reputed college otherwise doing MBA in distance will waste your money and you will not get an appropriate knowledge. Doing MBA from reputed college will give you better opportunity of getting job in reputed companies in better salary package.

In my view s=s it means success = satisfaction. MBA is just a degree. I think what makes you successful in life is knowledge and hard work. I don't think people after doing MBA have full knowledge of the corporate world. There is lots of other things other than MBA can provide you knowledge to understand the corporate world.

In my view if think you have enough knowledge and you know where you want to be and what you want from your life and what is your level of success. You don't need to have MBA degree.

If I talk about myself I am an Engineering Graduate Still Unemployed (its been two years since I Passed out from college) and that's because I didn't know anything better to do other than Engineering (that's other thing).

So my point is if you look at my situation it looks like MBA is a very good Option for me as to completely change my career flow, I desperately need that, so for me doing MBA could open new opportunities and its a complete new chance for me to learn something new which could lead me towards a better career doing MBA will improve my skills, my personality, I will be more confident then, and and as I said its a new chance for me.

But this is applicable to people like me, other than that people who are already doing good in there careers may not need any MBA course, Of course they can improve there positions and salaries by going for MBA. But I don't think that MBA is the only Key to get Success in Life, not at all.

Important is that why do Want to go for MBA (or any other PG Course) You should have a reason behind it and if you have an appropriate reason than just throw yourself in that field be it MBA or anything.

Agreed that Good Colleges are the key Factor but If you really want to learn and shine you can do it anywhere. But not just because everybody is saying doing MBA is Good and Doing it just to get good salary package and lifestyle and an MBA tag, you won't get anywhere (That happened to me with Engineering!).

No, not at all MBA is not necessary to succeed in life for instance those who want to make career in sports need not to be an MBA likewise different people different career choices so you just need to be ensure the field you want to go you have enough knowledge about it.

Hi I am Shanthipriya. According to me "Success" is a relative term. Its up to an individual to decide on what is success for him/her in life. Taking business into consideration, an MBA gives you an additional knowledge in to the know-how of the business environment and acts as a support. It is certainly not necessary to have the three letter degree to be successful in one's entrepreneurial/managerial life.

The concepts taught at a B-school can definitely be learnt through experience too. However, that becomes an expensive course. Thus, one can use an MBA degree to help him in tough times rather than entirely relying on it to run a business/ lead a team.

According to me MBA is necessary for getting a good corporate job, it is a field which help people how to interact with others and filled people with greater management knowledge, confidence, interpersonal skills, good communication skills, etc.

I am also pursuing MBA from ITS college Mohannagar (Gzb). I think MBA with Finance in major and Marketing in minor specialization has very good career options.

I have completed my MBA WITH Marketing & finance as my specialization in 2013 but I don't think that it is a good option. It would be only good when you do it from IIM or from a reputed college otherwise it very difficult to get placed in a reputed company. If you really want to make a career in MBA field do it from A grade college otherwise drop the idea of doing MBA because it is just only wasting your money.

Certainly yes, because MBA course helps to enhance thinking, we get surrounded by many talented people, professors who have worked in corporate world. Overall it makes the atmosphere to think like an entrepreneur and business strategist.
