Is an MBA necessary to succeed in life?

If one want to success in life, then love to work. Because if you pursuing MBA just for money and success, and you actually don't want to do it, then it is worthless. One saying is its good to be a good poet than a bad engineer.

HI. Well if we talk about successful entrepreneurs and other leading managers then we will see they barely have any masters degree in any management and business courses, hence for running a business and to be a leader attaining an MBA degree is not so important. Leadership, Management is charismatic, though pedagogy can help you to learn it by experience and applying practical knowledge and that is why we do have MBA degrees. MBA is not only a degree but a chance from ample opportunities to grow and boom your inner sight. Though MBA isn't important to succeed in life yet I would say that it plays an integral part in the development and growth of one's self-esteem and knowledge.

It is not necessary to do MBA for succeed in life.

It is depend on our interest.

According to me, to succeed in one's life does not depend only on the degree which he/she owns it is his/her burning desire to achieve his/her goals, his dedication towards his/her work, his/her leadership qualities & his/her ability to complete the work with right time & right output makes him/her different from others and thus makes him/her a successful person in the earth.

Hi I am Shanthipriya. According to me "Success" is a relative term. Its up to an individual to decide on what is success for him/her in life. Taking business into consideration, an MBA gives you an additional knowledge in to the know-how of the business environment and acts as a support. It is certainly not necessary to have the three letter degree to be successful in one's entrepreneurial/managerial life.

The concepts taught at a B-school can definitely be learnt through experience too. However, that becomes an expensive course. Thus, one can use an MBA degree to help him in tough times rather than entirely relying on it to run a business/ lead a team.

No, this statement is not true for all people. It depends upon what a person wants to do in his/her life. If his/her career goal is related to management, consultancy and entrepreneurship. MBA will help succeed in his/her life.

I think a bookish knowledge of 2 yr MBA program would serve no food, what matters is the right attitude and instead d correct vision one aims to be along with sustained hard work would lead a successful life. MBA would only be useful to those who not only have ability to grasp/understand management principles but also the confidence of Implementing the practices of management along with their daily lives.

For eg, As we know the most basic activities which a manager should possess are :Leading the subordinates, Motivating them time to time, Using the most suitable tactics, Increasing the organisation's prosperity, Professionalism, Positive attitude towards work and above all, acting smart at the right time is most important, a MBA degree would surely not serve the purpose! YOU have to have those qualities in you in real. !
