Influence of Online Social Networks on our Youth

In today's world, where everything is just one click away. Social networking sites have become the need of the present world.

Social networking sites and social media has revolutionized the world, bringing us closer than ever before and making life easier. They are very much useful not only to the youths but to all generations.

However, every coin has two sides and addiction to anything is always bad. Being on social networking site means one should be social but we are social more on networking sites and are keeping our self\'s away from social life.

These networking sites are changing the mindsets of the youths, people are living in the virtual world and trying to present a virtual picture of their life and updating on social sites. We are not enjoying our real life but trying to pretend our virtual world to be perfect. We are publishing our personal life for a few minutes of attention among few people in the virtual world.

Too much use of social networking sites is making individuals dumb. Thus, today's youth are engaged in cyber crimes. In the end, I would like to say social networking is a medium through which we can learn things broadcast our knowledge, experience, and views. We can either misuse this or use it for a better life. All depends upon us and the choice is ours.

I would like to take the neutral position in this discussion because the social networking has both positive & negative effects on our life. Looking at the positive site it is the tool if used to its maximum potential can connect us with the world. We can share our thoughts, feelings etc, on social network sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc, we can get the news from all sectors like economy, politics, banking, society, national, international.

We can get connected with our old friends, make new friends, increase our contacts. The message can be sent within few seconds to friends & others. We come to know what is happening around the world on these social net working sites. Apart from these positive effects there are many negative impacts of social networking. The youth today is wasting alot of its precious time on social networking sites. Even if the social network is expanded community life is coming to an end.

It is like addiction to many of users & they can't live away from it either. The fake accounts is also a problem in which the girls are get trapped easily & the consequences are very dangerous. Today the terror outfits are also using the social networking sites to trap & pull the youth towards terror activities.

Social Media Plays an Important role in one's youth's life, Social media is one where group or Individuals communicate over an internet. Best example of Social Media is Facebook, It's a vast network where we are connected to our friends, relatives, colleges etc. It helps us to be in touch with our loved ones.

By social media people we get connected to world, we will be having information within a second. It's helping lots of youths to search jobs, share information among others. We even can make a groups and page of like minded people and share the ones thought's etc.

We even can get connected to Mr Narendra Modi, our respected Prime Minister and we can directly share our problems with him. There are so many Politicians, Film Actors whom we can get easily connect through Social Media.

Like Positive points, Social Media has Negative points too. One will waste lots of time spending on Facebook. By recent research it came to know that 10 out of 7 use facebook, it's just a waste of time spending lots of time on Facebook.

Conclusion: It's left to us how we take use of Social Media, it's having both negative and positive points.

The gizmos as well as the online social networking sites have become one of the basic necessities of the youth. All the time the youngsters are found to be engaged with their mobile phones, their eyes glued on the screen for hours. This creates a bad impact on them as all these online networks divert and distract the young and ignited minds from their prime business which is to study and focus upon their professional life.

As being the youth of the modern generation, it is natural that they are fickle as well as single minded for which they get inclined towards the modern technology beyond a permissable limit and lose their enthusiasm to shoulder the responsibility of developing their motherland by working for its progress and prosperity. Though the social networking sites connect us with our nearer and dearer ones but in practice we misuse the technology and get addicted to it.

So concluding I would like to say that excess of anything and everything is bad. So we should use the facilities provided to us by science and technology in a righteous manner to modernise further in future. Thank you.

Social media have both merits and demerits which completely depend on the users who can use it. 1-by using social media we can share our views, thoughts and ideas to the entire world and we must take knowledge of the other peoples. 2-in the present day all the companies used social media for promoting their products, brand sell, best offers etc. To connecting a good impression of the product and for the name of the companies. 3- In the daily life, we can see the promotion of Bollywood movies, teasures, and their game also. I mean to say Bollywood directors are also taking help of the social media for better collections for entire the world. Demerits-. 1-social media is popular due to freedom of speech. But some secular peoples shared the unwanted links. Which is in nationalism, diversity, assert, and incompatible. 2-There are few incidents where robbers using user's geo-location on facebook to find out when the target is at home or not. The 3-social network allows seemingly trivial gossips to be distributed to the worldwide audience. After that rumors created big problems.

But people are so busy in connecting to people who are not near them and are forgetting people around them.

Yes, useful information can be shared through social networking sites but till what extent are people really sharing.

Youth today is mainly crazy for Facebook Twitter Instagram and many.

Everything which has been created in this world will have its own pros and cons.

It depends on the people how they utilize.

Social networking sides have both negative and positive effect on today's youth.

It helped the youth in socialising at the same time created a fear of stalking and hacking.

It helped the youth to know the facts and figures but at the same time created a doubt whether is it true or not.

It also helped the youth who wanted to share their views about something at the same time ruined some lives.

Nowadays the trend finding your love is also by social networking but also created a fear of fraud and cheating or any criminal offence.

ADVANTAGES :

> Social networking sites keep the youth well informed and help them from an opinion on the current social, political and international issues.

> Social networking sites are used for various purposes like in politics, business, and technology.

> Online shopping is the best example. As we can buy anything through online. Various sites are available like AMAZON, FLIPKART, SNAPDEAL etc.,

DISADVANTAGES :

> People have become so addictive about their 'digital identities' that they forget the 'real world' surrounding them.

> Many teenagers spend sleep fewer nights on social media which causes of insomnia, mood swings, deficiency of attention in schools, and increased obesity etc.

Social media is just a waste of time and mental ability. No one can find it useful from starting to end. In my case, I get badly addicted of FB. In a day I probably open my FB account near about 40 times and my book near about 1 or 2. See the difference.

Social media also cause a great impact on our confidence. Generally, if any time I have ten or more messages on FB then I feel that people are becoming attracted towards me and I feel so confident whether when there is no message then I feel that I am loosing my charm and get feels so bad for me.

But this is only virtual world boy real.

In the real world, I have so many best friends who care for me a lot but due to FB and WhatsApp, I didn't get time for my real friends I realize it later. Friends I have five breakups on FB. Hahaha. By the girls which I never have seen them. How funny all that and after few days all forget. Fb relationships are not real they are only a waste of mind as well as time. Get rid of this as soon as possible.

Today I deleted my FB app from my phone and going out by this virtual world to real world.

Social media is a platform where youth can interact and connect with other people in the society or around the world. I am fully agreeing with Jayasri's point that every topic has two faces similarly social media has both positive and negative impact on the youth.

One of the positive impact can be youth are interacting with the people around the world which will improve their communication skill, social media like education platforms will help youth to gain knowledge, to solve the many problems and social media also help youth to gain knowledge about what's going on in the world.

On social media one can put their views on serval topic which allow them to openly talk about any topic.

On the other hand, social media may lead youth into many troubles like they can be trapped by the criminals who are using fake profile.

Since now a days social media is on trends so youth starts avoiding physical meeting with the friends since they can talk with them on the social media.

Youth is spending huge amount of time on social media which is not good for their mental health.

In our busy life social networking sites is one of our common way to communicate with our family and friends. It gives us a platform to share our photos, videos and information to all at one time.

Some sites provide virtual platform not only to meet dear ones, but also interviews and business meeting are conducting through videoconferencing. Also a platform for marketing like new companies can promote their product, new writers promote their books.

We can get updates every second what is happening around the world. If any natural disaster take place at afar of our place then through these sites we can help them by donating money and providing clothes, food, medicine.

Youth lose their valuable time by addicting to this, fake accounts increases the cyber crimes, some terrorist groups motivate the youth towards them and also traps the officers gets imp information.

So there are some positive and negatives in this but one should note that lack of ignorance's only makes them a victim and depends on thee user attitude and character.
