Foreign Television Channels are Destroying Our Culture

Hello guys, I think every one have rights show there opinion, compare foreign TV channel to our TV channel both are have some good and some bad parts. It is fully depend upon to ourselves which side we take, if we take the bad parts of channel so, it is bad for ourselves or we take good parts of those channel so, it is good for us and the sentence is foreign TV channel only destroying our culture it is not true, we are also destroying our culture first we need to think in ourselves how much we are confidence to our culture and how much respect we are giving to our culture after that blame others and last word I want to say our culture is best culture nobody can destroying it.

Always think positive.

Why only foreign channels? Any kind of inappropriate visuals or verbals should be banned like in internet, TV, songs, magazines etc. In order to discuss about so called "destroying our Indian culture" we should know what it really is. I can not mention his/her name, but what he/she written is unbelievable!

According to it wearing inappropriate clothes, keeping different hairstyles, having homosexual relationships are against Indian culture. It not at all matters what you are from outside. What really matters is what you are from inside. So, in a Nutshell I just want to tell you that banning anything is not going to change anything, unless we change ourselves.

India is a vast country with 1.3 million people. It is rich in traditions and cultures. Nothing can destroy such diverse culture of our country. And so foreign TV channels also can't affect our culture. In fact we can learn a lot of things from foreign TV channels. They are innovators. They are full of ideas and creativity. Unlike Indian TV shows they can teach a lot of things. Science fiction shows how best can we use technology. Then there are many other shows based on a new concept which unlike Indian movie of typical love story and serials based on saas bahu conflict. Also we improve our communication skills which is must in corporate world.

Well, I don't think that foreign channels are destroying our culture. Depends on the type of movie. Vulgar scenes and double meaning dialogues definitely harm the society especially young children but there are many movies which encourage us to think from new perspectives.

No, your think is wrong, some channels are sometimes presence in your way. But most of the media's are as a good teacher for improve our knowledge.

Everything what Foreign Television Channels are giving us, till great extend it is enhancing our knowledge like giving us good channels eg. Discovery, national geography, history channel, animal planet and so on.

Well according to point my view I would like say that it is not devastating our culture, although it all up to to the human mind, weather he get useful thing or get unacceptable things, now we talk about the children destruction to watch the vulgar or unethical channel, but it really must be control by TV lock system, I must emphasis that both good and the bad, we really can get a lot of information about western culture, some knowledgeable like discovery, animal planet, English news channels and kids for various cartoon channels. It has a lot of limitless advantage compare than the disadvantages. So your endeavor must for good one.

I say that foreign channels are not alone responsible for the destruction of our culture. The most important factor that is a threat to our Indian culture is indians themselves. The attitudes of indians are changing as time passes and we are forgetting our valuable culture. The most important group here is the young generation. They have started adopting everything easily. But at the end of the day it is upto them to what they are getting adopted to.

Foriegn channels show their way of practices which can be watched by us so that we get an idea about their culture, but on the other hand we must not lose our individuality.

I don't think that foreign channels are destroying our culture. Infact it providing us various technical knowledge which Indian channels are not able to providing due to budget etc. You can see there are so many Indian channels are there which providing some uncensored kind of programs. So it depend on one how he would take it. Foreign cartoon channels providing more knowledgeble programs by which children can learn some basic things of schooling & they can aware of various things. So I would say that foreign television channels are not destroying Indian culture rather they are providing more appropriate channels.

There are a number of foreign channels which give us valuable information. Those channels of course show some sort of over exposure which we consider vulgar but actually part of their culture. So we indians are not suppose to blame them for that because even in our custom earlier women were not allowed to dress properly.

So my point is that our culture is deeprooted and hence impossible to get destroyed by a foreign channel. We should keep in mind that only we can contaminate our culture by inculcating their habits to our routine. So if our culture get destroyed we are responsible and we are to be blamed for that.

Some channels who display discovery/invention/technology are not destroying our culture they improve our knowledge.

But some other channels who display homosexuality/other bad contents are certainly destroying our culture. Our eyes and ears are input device for our brain, the data that enters in brain will be surely affecting the person, we can't ignore that. And kids don't even know what to keep and what to discard.

Remember the topic of this GD was "whether foreign channels are destroying our culture" and not who else is responsible for this, so do not divert from the topic indeed some channels are responsible.

I think that the foreign channels is not destroying our culture. Its depends on our thinking and leaning that, what I am getting from these channels and what is our thinking after watch. From these channel we improve our knowladge and we come to know about the word. For ex in discovery channel they tell us many funny fact of animals. In cartoon channels there are many program play, these program developed the childern's thinking and improve their ideas.

If we think about that there are many vulgar seen and program run in these channel we should not learn it or not use. Its for youth for their entetainment.
