EQ or IQ

IQ and EQ are the part of a successful person, because IQ (intelligent quotient) is help the person to build there analytical skill, problem solving skill and critical thinking becaous this things are help to person to improve the intelligent adaptability and while EQ (emotional quotient) is help to build the person emotional aspect like pressure and stress handling, to understand other person problem form there perspective and all it help to build their leader ship qualities,

The combination of both IQ and EQ is important for the personal and professional growth of the person. IQ make you professionally good at something, but EQ helps you grow as a leader.

IQ is what it leads us to develop the laws, the innovation, the nuclear weapons, futuristic things but life without this is also possible.

For example, you say IQ leads us to make air conditioners but the need arise of it is only because of us i.e. global warming if pollution would not have increased so much co2 its trapping over the layers of earth's surface would not happen depletion of ozone layer would not happen and hence we don't need it.

So, if we keep EQ as our priority there will be no harm but the reverse will lead to a weapon more like nuclear one and that's why some great scientist sometimes goes with the terrorist for money only.

There is purely IQ because EQ is nothing but IQ. If a person shows EQ so because of his IQ as IQ teaches about EQ. When a team leader handles his team with EQ so at that time that leader uses his IQ to utilise his EQ/Utility. In other hand, when people show their EQ without using IQ so those people show their stupidity somewhere at that place. For an example: suppose there are two people one is an agent and second is a client and client shows his EQ before the agent for taking more and more concession and agent gives without using his IQ, then what will happen? that agent will bear that loss because of his lack of IQ.

I will go for IQ over EQ.

In today's world, we are witnessing new invention and startups every day. If we want to survive and give yourself a place among all then we should have ample amount of IQ.

For example, if Legendary scientists Stephen Hawking had gone with EQ then we can not have any idea about creation of the entire universe.

If Bear Grylls (of survival series Man vs. Wild) would have gone with EQ then he could never survive in a critical situation where he has to kill animals to eat.

Moreover; in practical and industrial world IQ should be placed on peak importance whereas EQ is needed to be a social being.

First we need to understand that EQ (emotional quotient) is about feelings. It shows how a person can deal with his/her emotions. While I (intelligence quotient) is about brain. It shows your intelligence, knowledge and how good you are with your academics.

I believe that in this competitive world one should have higher EQ because competition is getting tougher day by day and many are committing suicide because they are not mentally and emotionally strong to handle such situation.

No matter how intelligent a person is, if he not mentally and emotionally strong. It will be difficult to get success in longer run.

Both are very important each can be given more weightage based on which profession they are dealing with IQ refers to Intelligent Quotient (IQ) which involves logic, calculations etc where whereas EQ which is Emotional Quotient deals with sympathy, love, care etc.

Certain professionals like the medical industry need more EQ along with IQ for example you are a very good expert doctor and you treat your patients with at most care, sympathy and deliver reports in a calm and composed way then patients get cured faster as their mental well-being also improves because of sensitive response to it.

I think both IQ and EQ are quintessential for our personality. Higher IQ enables us to think more logically and Scientifically while higher EQ enables us more empathetic and helps us to read other's mind.

It's a common perception that higher IQ tends to lower sympathy to others but this is a myth. A person may have both the higher IQ as well as higher EQ subsequently. For eg. Einstein was terrified about the human loss when US dropped the nuclear weapon in Japan. The corporate world is concern high IQ level is must. But at the same time, we can not neglect EQ good emotional quotient is also must for happier family life.

Emotional quotient (EQ) and intelligence quotient (IQ) are undoubtedly very important aspects of a person's life and can make a large difference between a normal life and a successful life.

To be successful you may want to have a great IQ but, that success will not last long if your EQ is not appropriate.

But if you have a good EQ and a little less IQ then the chances of you becoming successful and carry on with that successful career increases way more than that would be in a case discussed above.

According to me, IQ and EQ are equally important. I would like to explain this by simply comparing IQ with mind (brain) and EQ with heart (feelings). If a person has only brain just like robots and no feelings he would not be able to interact with people well or rather he would prefer to be isolated, he will not be able to make healthy relations which will directly or indirectly affect his work and health on the other hand a person with only feelings will make him academically weaker. So IQ n EQ both are required in proportionate the manner in order to grow emotionally and mentally.
