EQ or IQ

In my opinion, a proper balance between EQ and IQ is the need of the hour. Intelligence quotient is important for it helps one to achieve his or her goals and apply their minds or intellect to get better at a job whereas EQ or Emotional quotient is required to keep one linked to his or her team, understand the failures, come up positively, introspect the personality and behaviour which also cannot be neglected.

I agree because IQ is more important rather than EQ. And without IQ, we do not get any more. So, IQ is the main key of a successful person.

Both are important. Both have their own merits.

Consider the case of our class exams. If one has a high IQ then he can easily pass the exam. But if he has low IQ and high EQ, still then he can pass the exam (I think you get my point).

EQ, the emotional quotient and IQ, the intelligence quotient both of them are important to lead a successful and happy life. EQ helps you to connect with people and understand them well and it gives you the ability to share your emotions it gives you love and with IQ you can have technical knowledge which helps you make money. Both Money and love are important to be happy.

I pretty sure that the most of us know about Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory. That guy possesses an IQ level of 187, but has an EQ level of probably 4. He lacks to understand things from emotional point of view. He has a hard time understanding why his co-workers and acquaintances don't like him.

Your IQ may help you to land a job but it is your EQ which brings you success. Getting along emotionally with people and understanding things from their perspective is an art. We see many business firms recruit those who have the ability to deal with other people with ease. Those who can control their emotions and keep in view of other's emotions as well succeed in today's world. We see many people dealing with million dollar projects and deals with just EQ and common sense. Of course one cannot undermine the importance of IQ. IQ alone cannot bring you success, you need EQ along with it.

I would give more preference to EQ rather than IQ.

For every person, there should a balance between EQ and IQ because some of the decision we cannot take by emotions and some not take by brain at every path of life we should have proper balance between them. For every successful man they take decision to maintain level between them.

Both has equal importance if one said about having a balanced life. But here is the point of choosing anyone either EQ or IQ. Based on my preference I'll choose that EQ is more important than IQ. Humans EQ is one of factor which differs us from an animal like a chimpanzee. Having strong IQ is not bad but In comparison to an individual if EQ is higher than he/she will be more successful in their life either it is personal life or professional. Let's take an example of two friends one of them has high IQ and others have a high EQ.

Both are fairly good at studies but one is better as he has a high IQ. But both of them addicted to some wrong things which terribly affected their studies having shown them one of there teacher approaches both of them separately and give them some teaching rewarding their career. After listing teacher with high EQ both come to the conclusion that he should work hard and choose right habits but the second boy was in his so-called past fairly good result which made him more arrogant and he denied the advice of his teacher. And end up his career terribly. So having a high IQ is not enough 60'. Of our life depends upon our EQ.

In my opinion eq and IQ, both are important for a successful life. Because hard work pays more success so when you work hard in your life, carrier, etc. You will the best of all. In my opinion when you work hard with patients then the IQ level will definitely grow than with the help of this IQ we pay back lots of success. So eq and IQ both are important.

People with high EQ usually make great leaders and team players because of their ability to understand, empathize and connect with the people around them.

IQ or Intelligence quotient is derived from one of several standardized tests designed to asses individual intelligence.

IQ is used to determine academics abilities and identify individuals with off the chart intelligence or mental challenges. EQ is a better indicator of success in the workplace and is used to identify leaders' good team players and people who work by themselves.

EQ and IQ both are important for success in life. IQ depends on our technical knowledge and EQ depends on our behavior. We can achieve our goals with IQ, But our behavior determines the stability of our achievement.
