This world is a slave to leaders, we neither require managers (boss) nor the brain of Einstein. There is a little difference between the leader and a manager, the manager is a person chosen for his IQ by people above him but a leader is a person chosen for his EQ by the people below him.

A person with good IQ may lead him/her to a very reputed MNC, but they may be socially isolated if they have low EQ.

In real life always your healthy relationship with your subordinates, friends, family, and strangers will take you to a successful life.

I am not saying IQ is not important, but EQ must always predominate over IQ.

Its very well said, "give me a person with reasonable common sense and decency, I will make a leader out of him".

A psychopath or sociopath can have a high IQ, and a low EQ. A high EQ it's equal with a mature personality; you are aware of your self, your reactions, your emotions, you have empathy for others, and you do your best in educating your own inner in order to live a valuable life and not hurt anybody. Also, helps you to take all the responsability of your own action. A high IQ helps you solve your problems in a quite short time, to find valuable solutions, improves your creativity, and participate in a efficient way to improve your life.

EQ : Emotion Quotient. It is very important for the successful person, it connects through the heart but IQ is also a major role in logical thinking and taking decisions in regular life. Both are equally importance.

I think both IQ and EQ are quintessential for our personality. Higher IQ enables us to think more logically and Scientifically while higher EQ enables us more empathetic and helps us to read other's mind.

It's a common perception that higher IQ tends to lower sympathy to others but this is a myth. A person may have both the higher IQ as well as higher EQ subsequently. For eg. Einstein was terrified about the human loss when US dropped the nuclear weapon in Japan. The corporate world is concern high IQ level is must. But at the same time, we can not neglect EQ good emotional quotient is also must for happier family life.

I think both EQ and IQ are quintessential in our life. IQ makes a man think logically. EQ makes him to think according to his emotions. Both EQ and IQ must be balanced in life. One must take decisions logically by considering the emotions of the people.

Both emotional quotient (EQ) and intelligence quotient (IQ) is indispensable for developing the overall personality of an individual. But EQ has a little edge over IQ because IQ is dependent on EQ. No individual can take rational decisions without emotional stability no matter how much intelligence he/she possesses.

Both IQ and EQ are complementary to each other. A person having good IQ thinks logically and is not affected by other peoples emotions. IQ is cognition and EQ is affection. A person with good EQ thinks emotionally. A person having high IQ will not consider others interests and sentiments. This may lead to problems in group activity whereas a person with high EQ might be easily influenced by emotions and may not focus on work. So a balance of both is desirable but this happens hardly. A little of high EQ is good according to me.

I think both EQ and IQ have their own importance and people having a perfect balance of both is usually rare. But I think it is this disbalance that makes us different from others. People with very high IQ may tend to think always logically but their decisions may lack emotions. High EQ people may be good at understanding others feelings but at times may be driven away by emotions which is not always the right thing to do.

So I think a disbalance up to a certain extent is normal but it should not be large.

Hello guys! What differentiate can be b/w two is when and where Eq is required and where Iq is required. Socially you need to be adaptive action of people in why that way is the Eq but that action is remain suitable or not is Iq. It's just like to give rewards or punishment as boss and also to get promotion or demotion as employee in professional life. In personal life to lead family Iq helps but eq saves the relationship.
