EQ or IQ

In my point of view, both EQ and IQ are important because they are like two different sides of a coin EQ deals with our personal feelings and IQ deals with our intelligence, every organisation want to have such employees who can balance both in similar manner, EQ is required to work properly with his/her team, and to manage risk, stress and to move on with any kind of situation but I Q deals with ones intelligence I, e how well he/ she can perform in maths, logics, reasonings and he/ she manages the situation logically hence I conclude that EQ and IQ is essential In same quantities without EQ no IQ.

A good EQ and a good IQ is really important for everyone to be a successful and a respected person.

In a society, EQ helps to be communicated to the public. A good EQ leads to be respectful person in a society.

And a good IQ lead to be successful in his professional world. I know IQ may vary from person to person but EQ can be changeable by him/her.

Both IQ and EQ are terms used to calculate the capacity of a man be it intelligence or emotion. Now to say if either one holds more importance depends on the person. But as a society is concerned, a person has to be emotionally available for the betterment of society. Now if a person with relatively higher IQ and a well-settled lavish life is living in a place take for example a person is with a very low EQ then he wouldn't be bothered about people living around him even if they are miserable. But in the same case, a person with a better EQ might be able to feel the sentiments of ones suffering and would be able to work for hem or least give a helping hand. In the era where social media sort of rules at least some of you might have come across a video of a sports competition where the running race was held for differently abled students. In that video there comes a moment while the race was going on when a participant falls down, now if it were in a normal school we would have seen the kid left behind trying to get up himself or by the help of teachers and other participants would not have even spared him a glance. But in this scenario, we can see the other participants coming back helping the kid to get up and then resume running holding hands. See now there is the difference the differently-abled kids indeed is behind many of us in case of IQ but we can see that they are far ahead of us in EQ and the result of topping in IQ and EQ is pretty clear from that. Alas today's society and parents included are so hell-bent upon in increasing the IQ of their kids that the kids themselves lose the EQ that they were born with, and at the end the parents end up in old age homes, news of parental abuse increases as well as atrocities like rape and murder and so on.

The Mind is a very wonderful gift given by almighty. The mind is divided into two hemispheres. One portion of a mind which is the right one represents the person's emotions, feelings, loving nature, ability in the field of art, painting, sculpture, dancing, music etc things relevant to EQ terms but another portion of mind represents person's logical and scientific, Intelligence nature relevant to IQ terms. So we have to work on both. We have to maintain a balance between them. Without EQ or less EQ lead life to a drastic situation such as sometimes that person become more alcoholic or smoker or sometimes that person put his life into danger because that person can not face life as it is. While Without IQ or less IQ a person can live not a better life but definitely a sustainable life.

I think there should be a proper balance between EQ and IQ but if we compare these EQ is always given more priority in real life. A person with high IQ may get through a lot of things but a person with high EQ is the one who is able to succeed in different aspects of life. High EQ enables a person effectively deal with different situations which may be unfavorable at times. Having high IQ level is not enough as other factors like maintaining healthy relations with others, ability to deal with different situations effectively are equally important.

Even though people are discussing about EQ or IQ we must realize that the sense of expressing our thoughts about EQ or IQ in such a type of website itself projecting ourselves as EQ dominated persons!

I think EQ should be given priority here. A person with good EQ will be required in every aspect of life. Either in a corporate world or in social societies. He may work in any field after he is having a good knowledge of emotions of others. And we know this a person with good emotions will possess a good sound mind then surely he will have a good IQ. A person having good IQ can think himself as superior with high ego and he will not respect emotions of other.

First of all, I appreaciate what you all guys thought, somehow I agree with your perceptions. I Want to add my view about IQand EQ. IQ (intelligence quotient) is very important to compete with today's world as it is a rational and logical approach. Today the scenerio is different there is a vast range of technology and business in which only logical thinking is not enough for survival you must be social and philantropic (love for mankind). EQ (emotional quotient) is also very important in its own percpective. If you are a successful person (having a good/high IQ) but a low EQ then you are not a successful person, you are lacking somewhere so there must be a balance between IQ and EQ which distinguish you from others. Be gregarious as EQ leads to life's knowledge not bookish knowledge.

According to me, IQ is more important than EQ. First of all man are judged by their intellegence level, then only by EQ. Normal person IQ level must be 7. So we must first concentrate on IQ. We need to improve IQ level. Emotions are also important. But it can be controlled and show it in right time. For eg, we have a huge loss in business, we get tears flooded over the eyes. It is a sign of emotions but at that time, if managed to recover our money or else suceed in businees instead of crying it is sign og IQ. So improve your IQ first then think about next.

I think both IQ and EQ should be possessed by an individual but EQ has an upper hand because a person\'s intelligence is of no use unless and until he can apply it in daily tasks.
