E-learning, or online learning, has become increasingly popular in recent years, especially with advancements in technology and internet connectivity. While it offers numerous benefits and has proven to be an effective educational tool, it is not necessarily a complete substitute for classroom learning. Here are some points to consider:
Flexibility: One of the primary advantages of e-learning is its flexibility. Learners can access course materials and participate in discussions at their own pace and convenience. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for working professionals or individuals with other commitments who may not be able to attend regular classroom sessions.
Access to a wide range of courses: E-learning platforms provide access to a vast array of courses and subjects, often from reputable institutions and instructors from around the world. This enables learners to explore diverse topics that may not be available in their local educational institutions.
Self-paced learning: E-learning allows learners to progress at their own speed, which can be advantageous for individuals who learn at a different pace than their peers. They can spend more time on challenging topics or move quickly through material they already understand, promoting personalized learning experiences.
Cost-effective: E-learning can be a more affordable option compared to traditional classroom learning. It eliminates costs associated with commuting, housing, and physical textbooks, making education more accessible to individuals with limited financial resources.
Limited social interaction: One significant drawback of e-learning is the reduced opportunity for face-to-face interaction and collaboration with peers and instructors. Classroom learning fosters social interaction, teamwork, and the development of interpersonal skills, which are essential in various aspects of life.
Lack of hands-on experience: Some subjects and skills require hands-on experiences or physical presence, such as laboratory work, art, music, or sports. While e-learning can provide theoretical knowledge in these areas, it may not fully substitute the practical learning experiences offered in a classroom or lab environment.
Technical requirements and accessibility: E-learning relies heavily on technology and internet access. Therefore, learners without reliable internet connections or access to suitable devices may face challenges in fully engaging with online courses.
In conclusion, e-learning is a valuable educational tool that offers flexibility, accessibility, and a broad range of courses.
However, it cannot completely replace classroom learning, as it may lack certain elements like face-to-face interaction, hands-on experiences, and immediate feedback. A combination of both e-learning and classroom learning, known as blended learning, can provide a more comprehensive and effective educational experience.

Hi everyone,
With respect to all your points, I am adding my opinion, that e-learning system introduced in schools and colleges has both advantage and disadvantage.
It has lot many advantages like;
1. In past years students are dependent on blackboard studies and note dictation. In which the teacher makes them understand through the diagram and the limited theories in the book.
2. But all children are not studious, some may understand from the book whereas some may be there with blank ideas that what is happening in the class, so for them the e-learning system is very helpful.
3. Nowadays every book has a DVD attached at the back side of every book, with a lot of videos and task present in that.
4. Suppose in a class there are 60 students and in schools and colleges in between every subject is taught for 45 mins and in that interval, it is not possible for the teacher to have focused on each individual student, but through this system, this problem is also minimized.
5. Everything can be made understand with a practical example but the subject "BIOLOGY" is one subject in which some chapters cannot be explained properly but the same thing e-learning system can do it in a better way. And I have seen students have more doubts in this subject and especially in some selected chapters like "REPRODUCTION" but clearing doubts is more difficult for a teacher and it might hurt the sentiments of others.
6. Nowadays every student dream of going to an English medium school, but some can afford whereas some cannot, for them also apps like Byju's is more helpful.
An intelligent student can do a sum of math in few minutes whereas average student lags behind because of the basics. While teaching teachers directly go to the theory and q/ans part and live the basics but in these systems they get their basics clear throughout their life.
Some of the disadvantages are as follows:
1. As in previous advantage, I was discussing the chapter of "REPRODUCTION", we know in that particular chapter there are such terms which cannot be explained inside the classroom but children stick to that terms as their doubts are not cleared, and in institution also no one clear their doubts.
2. At the next they surf the internet for such terms and sometimes go to the negative side of it, which they should not see at that age they surfing that only, which harms their studies and their mind. Because while surfing there are more adds coming at side in which children give the interest to know what is that.
So, coming to an end I would say that the e-learning system introduced in schools and colleges are the best thing children ever had.
Thank You.

E-learning has both advantages and disadvantages. If we say of 'Deforestation' and 'Paper wastage', it is an advantage, but if we say of respect, then it is a disadvantage.
ADVANTAGES:
Books are made from paper. The paper is obtained from trees. Trees are planted by humans or naturally. Humans get an education from books.
(1) The advantage in this aspect is that E-learning is effective on the understanding skills of a child. The understanding skills will improve as if we see the book, it has very long paragraphs that irritate the minds of children and their desire slowly decreases. Some children see it as a burden on them. They think that their studies are very difficult and boring. With this in mind, they don't learn it, instead, they ratty it. Today is a day where knowledge is not about learning new things, but it is about getting good marks.
(2) The 2nd advantage is that the children wear very heavy bags on their shoulders which are not good for health. Earlier, at the time of my grandfather's school years, he just brought a slate, book and chalk which is very amazing as in my father's school years, he wore a heavy bag. If E-learning is established, then it will have an effect on the weight of the bags. In fact, if E-learning is practiced, then we don't even need a bag. We just need a bottle, tab, tiffin and a thing that we need like a hand sanitizer.
DISADVANTAGES:
(1) The disadvantages of E-learning is that there are very large scale book brands like Saraswati, NCERT, etc which will vanish from the society after this concept. Billions of people work in the factories, offices, etc just to earn money and live their lives easily but if the E-learning concept enters the society, these giants will be eradicated. Where will they find new jobs? If 50% of them find then what about the leftover?
(2) The 2nd disadvantage is that the tabs are very sensitive and can break if it falls. This is the most horrifying point as if a child breaks the tab, he would have to buy a new one and slowly the materials used in the making of the tab will reduce and will lead to the scarcity of those certain materials.

Hello folks,
As per my opinion, E-learning is only a substitute for classroom learning. There is no alternative to Classroom study at that time. Here I am sharing my views related to this topic.
Benefits:
1) At that moment we all are facing a covid-19 pandemic all over India. Everything has been closed due to this virus so it is impossible for students to go their school and do proper classroom study. So all the classroom study shifted to E-learning study.
2) By E-learning there is no need to go to school, classes, etc you can get everything via different platforms like zoom, google classroom, etc.
3) By E-learning would be better for those who live in villages and backward areas because they do not need to move anywhere, they can get an education at their home safely.
4) E-learning gives you the benefit to complete your education anywhere in the world.
5) E-learning is cheaper in comparison to classroom study.
6) E-learning process is one the finest thing in this time, 20 years back there is no internet facility no apps no platform for study so that time it was very difficult for a student to complete their course.
Drawbacks:
1) As per my view e-learning is not a permanent solution for study. It would be only a substitute. Being a teacher I know very well that student can not give their 100% focus and determination in the E-learning study.
2) On these platforms you get lots of options like turn off your mic, turn off your camera etc so some not interested students are taking the benefits of these things. They just turn off their camera and disappear from the class.
3) Students have to sit for a long time in front of the screen so it would be chances that they lose their eyesight to continue using.
4) E-learning is just an option, not a permanent solution we can not stop the learning process of the students so we are on that.
5) In classroom study, faculty can focus on every student who is sitting in the classroom and can also ask his/her doubts in a class.
So, the conclusion is that E-learning is not an appropriate solution of classroom study it's just a substitute.

Hi friends,
I want to add something to this discussion that As a coin has two sides, E-learning as a substitute for classroom learning has also two sides.
Advantages:
-> Anyone can learn anything from anywhere & at any time.
-> By doing E-learning, there is no expense of travel, coaching fees, hostel fees, etc.
-> In today's digital world, a very famous social networking site YouTube is providing many learning videos. So that, anything like learning, cooking, dancing, machine handling, art & craft, or any kind of stuff can be learnt from it.
-> E-learning is more flexible because it can be done in short chunk of time that can fit around your daily schedule.
-> There are many sites providing content explanation like Wikipedia, Tutorialspoint, etc. So it makes learning easy.
-> 3D images can be easily visualized.
Disadvantages:
-> Everyone may not have access to the internet at lower rate.
-> There are many courses available on-line. But they are providing video lectures so that those people having broadband connection or higher bandwidth connection can only view video without interruption.
-> There is no interaction between teacher and student, so doubts can't be solved at that point of time. As well as teachers are not known whether the student has understood it properly or not.
-> Students must have learning approach, otherwise he/she can't learn anything. As well as Everyone may not be comfortable with E-learning, they can't understand it by themselves.
-> Student's skills like discipline, morality, human values, respecting elders, friendliness, brotherhood and many other skills can't be developed.
-> It reduces the employment opportunities as teachers will be replaced by computers.
Finally, I conclude that E-learning with combination of the classroom is better for students so that it can help in all round development of students. And also E-learning is the best way for those people who have some doubts for handling new things or making new things, and also for those who are exciting to get out of the box learning.

Greetings everyone,
In my opinion, E-learning cannot replace classroom teaching, though it is a very productive method of learning.
The most crucial part of student life is to learn good communicating skills, discipline in life, social interaction and an optimistic attitude. These qualities can only be achieved when there is a live interaction between the student and the teacher.
In classroom learning there is always a positive competition in the class, students can clarify their doubts on the spot.
Teacher plays a great role in personality development, they bring the best out of every student.
Not only this, the most nostalgic part of everyone's life is their school life, which will never happen in E-learning.
E-learning has a very strong advantage that it is flexible towards timings according to your schedule and pace, one can upgrade their knowledge, it has less expense, learning and teaching is possible from any part of the world.
One remarkable advantage E-learning is that, if your concept is not cleared, you can see that part of the lecture/video as many times as you want and the lecture can also be saved in the device, which gives you the access to go through it whenever you want.
Cons of E-learning:
1. It is not accessible to financially unstable people.
2. It can cause strain in eyes, it damages eyesight.
3. It cannot develop social and soft skills.
4. It is distracting sometimes because one can surf through other social media apps.
5. Doubt cannot be cleared at the time it has struck in mind.

Hi this Samyuktha.
In my point of view, classroom learning means the students can communicate with the teachers freely by asking doubts of the subjects.
It makes the bonding between students and teachers. They can easily understand the subject through this classroom learning. The book knowledge is also important to the students in the classroom learning.
Students can communicate with the other students and improve their knowledge through this learning.
The disadvantage of this classroom learning is that the students cannot update their knowledge fastly through this learning.
E-learning means education through electronic devices. The education through this E-learning is useful for the students who can update their knowledge through this education.
They can listen more times by watching the videos.
They can expand their knowledge through this learning.
The disadvantages of this E-learning is one loss their eyesight easily by watching the videos more times.
Some students cannot understand proper learning through this system.
For poor people who are not having enough money to buy the laptops, they felt difficult.
They cannot communicate to the teachers directly through this E-learning.
So I conclude that both classroom learning and the E-learning is a benefit for the students. If they can manage both E-learning and classroom learning then the students can study their education more effectively. So we require both learnings.

Hello guys,
E-learning is a virtual learning program which is done by the electronics sources like a computer, laptop via the internet. Yes, definitely in this 21st-century e-learning has become a substitute for classroom learning, and it is playing an important role in our education system. It has many advantages:
- Your Schedule, Your Pace, Your Place.
- less fees in comparatively classroom program.
-no transportation charge.
-can attain our class from any location.
-can got the same quality of education from any organisation (example the student who could not get a chance for study from NIT and IIT they can also learn the same thing. ).
-environment-friendly (saves paper).
-introduction of animation and video make it more understandable.
-one teacher can teach a lot of student at a time.
Only the thing is student must be more disciplined and more focused.
Every coin has some pros and some cons, and definitely, also it has.
-it does not develop the inter personal skills.
-does not develop communication skills in the public.
-it is little bit distractable.
- required internet connection and electronic sources.
- all site does not provide a certificate of particular courses.
In spite of all the disadvantage, it is more beneficial for the student especially after launching of JIo. Hence it is one of the substitute for the classroom program.

Hai friends! I want to share my view on this topic.
In my view, everything has both advantages and disadvantages. Choosing e-learning or classroom learning depends on the individuals because those who are sharp, talented and enthusiastic they will learn a lot through e-learning but normal students cannot have that much ability to understand the content and stuff. They need someone to explain it but through e-learning, there is no face to face interaction. Poor students also unable to access this e-learning.
But an overall development like discipline, morality, human values, respecting elders, other genders, friendliness, brotherhood, and many others skills like communication skills, intra personal, inter personal skills, activeness, punctuality, how to make decisions, hoe to manage the team and also we get many experiences through class learning. We can get practical experiences. Teachers give many suggestions which are very useful. We can develop good character by taking inspiration from good persons around us. It also gives us sweet memories which we cannot forget throughout our life.
We can get good friends here. We can learn how to face problems in life bravely and many things.
Finally, I conclude that e-learning with the combination of the classroom is better for students so that it can help in all round development of students.

We can get good friends here. We can learn how to face problems in life bravely and many things.
Finally, I conclude that e-learning with the combination of the classroom is better for students so that it can help in all round development of students.
