Hello friends.

A great discussion is going on E-learning and classroom learning.
I just simply say that they are two sides of coin to decide one side.
They are like two eyes. We cane see with one eye also, but we have both. In this way make use of both in a proper way.

Classroom learning:.
Advantages:.

Attitude, discipline, body-language, leadership, friendship, how-to-speak in front of a group etc.

Disadvantages:.
Time consuming, if teacher is not good, lack of practical approach etc.

E-learning:.
Advantages:.

Fast, efficient, practical oriented, time saving etc.

Disadvantages:.
No immediate clarification of doubt, no exchange of ideas, no innovation.
So, Finally lets blend these two together into a single cup to make good coffee.

Good evening.

Hello guys,

E-learning is a virtual learning program which is done by the electronics sources like a computer, laptop via the internet. Yes, definitely in this 21st-century e-learning has become a substitute for classroom learning, and it is playing an important role in our education system. It has many advantages:

- Your Schedule, Your Pace, Your Place.
- less fees in comparatively classroom program.
-no transportation charge.
-can attain our class from any location.
-can got the same quality of education from any organisation (example the student who could not get a chance for study from NIT and IIT they can also learn the same thing. ).
-environment-friendly (saves paper).
-introduction of animation and video make it more understandable.
-one teacher can teach a lot of student at a time.
Only the thing is student must be more disciplined and more focused.

Every coin has some pros and some cons, and definitely, also it has.

-it does not develop the inter personal skills.
-does not develop communication skills in the public.
-it is little bit distractable.
- required internet connection and electronic sources.
- all site does not provide a certificate of particular courses.

In spite of all the disadvantage, it is more beneficial for the student especially after launching of JIo. Hence it is one of the substitute for the classroom program.

Hi friends,

I want to add something to this discussion that As a coin has two sides, E-learning as a substitute for classroom learning has also two sides.

Advantages:

-> Anyone can learn anything from anywhere & at any time.

-> By doing E-learning, there is no expense of travel, coaching fees, hostel fees, etc.

-> In today's digital world, a very famous social networking site YouTube is providing many learning videos. So that, anything like learning, cooking, dancing, machine handling, art & craft, or any kind of stuff can be learnt from it.

-> E-learning is more flexible because it can be done in short chunk of time that can fit around your daily schedule.

-> There are many sites providing content explanation like Wikipedia, Tutorialspoint, etc. So it makes learning easy.

-> 3D images can be easily visualized.

Disadvantages:

-> Everyone may not have access to the internet at lower rate.

-> There are many courses available on-line. But they are providing video lectures so that those people having broadband connection or higher bandwidth connection can only view video without interruption.

-> There is no interaction between teacher and student, so doubts can't be solved at that point of time. As well as teachers are not known whether the student has understood it properly or not.

-> Students must have learning approach, otherwise he/she can't learn anything. As well as Everyone may not be comfortable with E-learning, they can't understand it by themselves.

-> Student's skills like discipline, morality, human values, respecting elders, friendliness, brotherhood and many other skills can't be developed.

-> It reduces the employment opportunities as teachers will be replaced by computers.

Finally, I conclude that E-learning with combination of the classroom is better for students so that it can help in all round development of students. And also E-learning is the best way for those people who have some doubts for handling new things or making new things, and also for those who are exciting to get out of the box learning.

E-Learning is method of learning through computer and use information and communication technology in education system. E-learning can only provide bookish knowledge but it does not develop character of student and no motivation given to student. E-learning is good for skilled student but what about student of low standard.

Here come the necessity of classroom learning. In classroom learning a teacher can understand the mental ability of student and teaches according to it.

Moreover Discipline, communication skill, relationship management, team player quality and moral values can learn through classroom learning.

No that e-learning bad but it is better learning for graduate student not for school student. It should be added to our traditional classroom learning to enhance education system. But it should not replace it.

Greetings everyone,

In my opinion, E-learning cannot replace classroom teaching, though it is a very productive method of learning.

The most crucial part of student life is to learn good communicating skills, discipline in life, social interaction and an optimistic attitude. These qualities can only be achieved when there is a live interaction between the student and the teacher.

In classroom learning there is always a positive competition in the class, students can clarify their doubts on the spot.

Teacher plays a great role in personality development, they bring the best out of every student.

Not only this, the most nostalgic part of everyone's life is their school life, which will never happen in E-learning.

E-learning has a very strong advantage that it is flexible towards timings according to your schedule and pace, one can upgrade their knowledge, it has less expense, learning and teaching is possible from any part of the world.

One remarkable advantage E-learning is that, if your concept is not cleared, you can see that part of the lecture/video as many times as you want and the lecture can also be saved in the device, which gives you the access to go through it whenever you want.

Cons of E-learning:

1. It is not accessible to financially unstable people.
2. It can cause strain in eyes, it damages eyesight.
3. It cannot develop social and soft skills.
4. It is distracting sometimes because one can surf through other social media apps.
5. Doubt cannot be cleared at the time it has struck in mind.

E-learning can never become the substitute of classroom learning. E-learning can't teach one discipline, ethics, morality, working in a team, punctuality, brotherhood and a lot of other great qualities that is needed for a complete personality development of student. E-learning is very useful but it is incomplete without classroom learning.

Hello folks,

As per my opinion, E-learning is only a substitute for classroom learning. There is no alternative to Classroom study at that time. Here I am sharing my views related to this topic.

Benefits:

1) At that moment we all are facing a covid-19 pandemic all over India. Everything has been closed due to this virus so it is impossible for students to go their school and do proper classroom study. So all the classroom study shifted to E-learning study.

2) By E-learning there is no need to go to school, classes, etc you can get everything via different platforms like zoom, google classroom, etc.

3) By E-learning would be better for those who live in villages and backward areas because they do not need to move anywhere, they can get an education at their home safely.

4) E-learning gives you the benefit to complete your education anywhere in the world.

5) E-learning is cheaper in comparison to classroom study.

6) E-learning process is one the finest thing in this time, 20 years back there is no internet facility no apps no platform for study so that time it was very difficult for a student to complete their course.

Drawbacks:

1) As per my view e-learning is not a permanent solution for study. It would be only a substitute. Being a teacher I know very well that student can not give their 100% focus and determination in the E-learning study.

2) On these platforms you get lots of options like turn off your mic, turn off your camera etc so some not interested students are taking the benefits of these things. They just turn off their camera and disappear from the class.

3) Students have to sit for a long time in front of the screen so it would be chances that they lose their eyesight to continue using.

4) E-learning is just an option, not a permanent solution we can not stop the learning process of the students so we are on that.

5) In classroom study, faculty can focus on every student who is sitting in the classroom and can also ask his/her doubts in a class.

So, the conclusion is that E-learning is not an appropriate solution of classroom study it's just a substitute.

According to me if people are asked which days of their lives would they like to relive at least 90% of people would prefer their school days back. Not only education but school gives a complete package of character building, personality development, extra-curricular activities, discipline and many more things. If classroom learning gets substituted with E-learning the fun, the interaction with other people, a chance to overcome fears, wonderful friends all these things will go missing.

Yes E-learning can definitely be useful but then the overall development of a student will be hindered. So instead there should be a combination of both a classroom with a facility of E-learning. So that a child gets acquainted with technological world and plus gets all other benefits that are essential and equally important. So every child should go to school and come out as a great personality with overall development and wonderful memories to cherish lifelong.

Hi,

As we all know everything has pros and cons.

Benefits of E-learning:

1) Through animations children will get to learn concepts in a better way.
2) Children can number of times go through the lecture and revise again.
3) E-learning gives flexibility. If any time we miss the class for any reason we can go there and can listen to whatever taught in the class.

Disadvantages of E-learning.

1) Not everywhere there is high-speed internet connectivity which makes a difficult situation to attend the class.
2) Continuously using laptop or mobile for the class will definitely put a strain in our eyes.
3) Every parent does not know how to use this kind of platform.
4) In class you can interact with other of your classmates and by physical presence make lecture lively otherwise it will become sometimes too boring to listen.
5) While attending class there is a high possibility of getting distracted by other social sites.
E-learning is much useful for us. It is easy to learn in our home or any places. By using this we can learn any languages and also can write the exams, it is very apt for modern life because it reduces the transport and time schedule problem to job people. Even though it has many advantages, it will not become classroom learning. Why because we think classroom learning as practical.

Hi this Samyuktha.

In my point of view, classroom learning means the students can communicate with the teachers freely by asking doubts of the subjects.

It makes the bonding between students and teachers. They can easily understand the subject through this classroom learning. The book knowledge is also important to the students in the classroom learning.

Students can communicate with the other students and improve their knowledge through this learning.

The disadvantage of this classroom learning is that the students cannot update their knowledge fastly through this learning.

E-learning means education through electronic devices. The education through this E-learning is useful for the students who can update their knowledge through this education.

They can listen more times by watching the videos.

They can expand their knowledge through this learning.

The disadvantages of this E-learning is one loss their eyesight easily by watching the videos more times.

Some students cannot understand proper learning through this system.

For poor people who are not having enough money to buy the laptops, they felt difficult.

They cannot communicate to the teachers directly through this E-learning.

So I conclude that both classroom learning and the E-learning is a benefit for the students. If they can manage both E-learning and classroom learning then the students can study their education more effectively. So we require both learnings.
