Of course, We really need smart cities.

In my opinion, As far we listening that INDIA is still a developing country. But why is it not yet developed?

SMART CITIES can be made when we think smart in every aspect of developing of our country & needs of people. It should be initialised from villages.

By the way, our great country can be a developed country.

I hope so it may be a developed country till completion of this 21st century. If people & the government of India thinks smart enough. Then it would be a smart city with facilities we needed according to the improvement of technology day by day.

Thank you.

Hello, everyone.

In my view, we really need smart cities.

The idea of smart cities is a noble one in the context that India is a powerful country in every respect. May be in the field of science and technology, medicine and surgery or defence, India is ahead. But it is the right time to face global competition and to prove the potential.

Next important matter is that if the idea of smart cities can be well executed, then smart villages will be produced and then smart India can be formed.

Hi,

Smart cities are an initiative step taken by Indian government but smart cities are not just needed to change or make our nation a developed one, we need much more. They are for good infrastructure, Smart solutions, and small much more like that. We all know that smart cities can not only have advantages, but we also get disadvantages front this like 1) dump administration where we see corruption, 2) unable to afford it means one rich takes the advantages of smart cities but not poor.

WE NEED SMART CITIES WITH SMART LAWS.

Earlier Smart city Mission has been implemented in various cities like Stockholm (Sweden), Suwon (south Korea), Singapore etc only when people there are able to understand the need and use of Smart cities.

One of the basic things in the Smart city mission is the combining Internet of things and ICT and the computer literacy of India is only 6.3% due to which they will not understand the use of Smart Cities. So, smart cities require Smart people and Government should work on both of it.

Hi everyone,

The topic is Do we really need smart cities?

Yes, we need smart cities but before saying yes we should think about the current situation of our cities no clean roads, there is no purified drinking water, public toilets are not maintaining neatly, lack in hospitality, etc.

When people becoming smart then the only city also change to smart.

Yes, we do. But before making city smart. We as Indian need to become smart. To change our city into smart we have to change ourselves first. We need clean roads, education, drinking water most of the region is deprived of. The Government has initiated many ideas to overcome our country from these miseries. But alone, the government can do anything until we do no take initiative. Every individual must take their own responsibility.

Smart cities will provide good infrastructure. With good infrastructure, there will be the provision of good transport facilities, communication, 24 hrs water supply and electricity. There will be good employment for creating a smart city people should be smart. This will be when people are educated.

Hey guys,

My opinion is, we definitely need smart cities, more in number rather. Over the past two decades or so we didn't come up with more number of cities and thus resulting in investing in the already existing cities (good but) resulting in concentrating the population over there and thus environmental pollution thus booming the cities. If we see china over the last 4 decades there has been increase in the number of cities in an huge manner, which led to the development of the country in faster way, be it economic growth. The increasing movement of people from rural to urban requires more number of new cities rather more number of smart cities (where there are modern technology according to improving lifestyle). Thus creation of smart cities is a must for increase in the rate of development of the country.

Hello friends, according to me there is an absolute necessity for smart cities to be developed for India to gain an accountable growth in GDP in terms of increase in revenue due to increase in firms and thus jobs as well as fostering foreign investments. Enhanced forex reserves mean a lot to developing Indian economy. But on the other hand, we need to first take care of the large sector of the unreserved and unserved population of our country in terms of basic eminities such as healthy food, water, shelter and basic education. Only when these concerns are addressed, a smarter India build-up is much more feasible and commendable.
