India is not a developed country most of our citizen are illiterate and below the poverty line. They don't need smart cities they will be needing basic aspects like good food nice shelter and pure water. From time immemorial mother earth provides us everything we need, we just only have to discover it. In my opinion, we need smart cities more than that we need good farmlands eco-friendy buildings and industries. It's better to keep good health and to eat healthy food than wasting health in front of computers and eating junk foods.

Protect and gain from nature.

Well, we need to have our smart cities. As we want India to be among developed nations, we need to know what hinders us. We lack in education thanks to a financial gap in our people.

The Financial gap will be recovered by providing jobs. Smart city skim will definitely serve that purpose to a large. In addition to it there must be a parallel program for making people know about technical advancement in banking, communication etc. Of course, the smart city does not mean only skyscraper buildings, good transportation, and communication but also a good education to its people. So smart city will do good if it is followed by some technical education or awareness program.

Thanks.

We don't yet need a smart city rather the government should focus on poverty, hunger, homeless and most important on the army force. If a country could fight against these issues then later on we have to think about smart city. But in India, the thing which is good is being best but at the same time the thing which is bad is being worst. Government should focus on each and every perspective equally.

Absolutely smart cities are the things we needed to get access a to our things on tips. We can't deny that the tagline is perfectly suitable for smart cities is " where ever you go we follow" they will help us in making our life easier.

Recently, I had read that in a Europe with the installation of smart meters there is a decrease in the number of Electricity thefts and power loss in transmission by keep monitoring of electricity from a utility to consumers.

Some adverse affect of smart cities are also their we will be relying on a machine for our work, there will be a degradation in the health of the humans, there will be more unemployment.

In my opinion we do need smart cities but on the verge of ill conditions of the village. The main motto is to focus firstly on the development of villages which forms the core of the India. In the current scenario villages are not having lights more dan 18000 villages doenst have power adding to that education should be improved. Government should start programmes for the awareness for the development of rural area.

Yes, we do need smart cities for standing beside other developed countries. But first government should make the backbone stand firm. The backbone of our country INDIA is agriculture and villages, if these two things are developed then definitely smart cities projects should be initiated.

Main factor which build smart city is technology. So everyone should be with enough knowledge of basic technologies.

Yes, there is a need of smart city, Because in India some of the villages are still backward.

There is no proper hospital, 24*7 electricity, water-supply, lack of employment, even road are not properly constructed.

Yes of course, we need to develop smart city because our existing metro or high population cities are facing various problem like large population, allocation of resources, employment, hygene and sanitation, etc so due to vast area of great rush there is difficulty in management of basic services and facilities. So to reduce burden of existing city we required to develop smart city which provide better services and facility so population move to these city.

And burden of lagre metro city is divide.

But it is true that our most of population live in rural areas which based on agriculture and smal non formal sector so we need to develop smart villeges with smart city.

GOI Rurban mission, smart city mission, startup india, small and medium enterprices, MSME, etc are help both rural and urban development and it provide a new trigger to boost the Indian economy.

Yes, we need smart cities because it measures the parameter for development. People are now shifting to urban areas as all of us want to be technologically advanced. The metro cities are very crowded due to huge population residing there if other cities are developed into smart cities then the population would get divided and many cities would remain clean, technically advanced, good sanitation and hygiene etc and indirectly that is also the development of the nation.

I am Praveen.

I would also like to join some point ahead.

Smart cities, Yes, we need smart cities in order to develop the country further because we are living in an advance century bit none of our things an advance.

If we observe to China, and other countries too, we are still in a backward condition terms of everything.

Yes, I do agree well with the point that most of the population are at villagers they were not getting basic needs to survive.

So my conclusion needs a smart city which develops our whole country when I mentioned country it covers every part.
