First of all, we people need to be smart enough to make our city a SMART CITY. This can be only done by proper awareness by our government. Our India is a developing country we need such smart cities. I am asking when our INDIA will be called as a DEVELOPED nation ? Only making smart cities is not enough, we need to aware people regarding their pros. We need to minimize those illiteracy, unemployment and increase the development of villages, women empowerment and general awareness regarding their rights to make a normal citizen a smart one. Bhubaneswar is the 1st smart city, but guys many people don't even know that their own city is a smart city. So I would suggest this should not be the condition of India. Then only we will reach upto the level of fully DEVELOPED COUNTRY.

Hello everyone,
I accept that India really need smart city to enhance its global status and development.
But before this let's focus current scenario of India we will find still except a few cities specially from north region are very less developed they don't have basic facility of transportation as well poor road condition also they have less employement, drainage system and smart function of every thing is far from them problem is lack of education sometimes government attention. I think government should take some positive initiate first this side later they should work in making city smart. Although India is a democratic country so called 'SABKA SAATH SABKA VIKAS'. Government should take effective initiative to make people educate and then smart. However I support the initiative of 'MAKE IN INDIA' from BJP government side toward this.

Hello everyone, as per my opinion we really need smart cities as India is developing country so, for raising it's standard to a global world, to make people IT familiar and ahead to gain lots of opportunities we really need smart cities. So to make all this in a flat equal level. We have to develop foremost, and the government should also make plans and policy, so India will be first in all fields. Thank you.

As per my point of view, We really need the smart cities in India if we have smart cities it becomes emphasis of the country.
All the neighbour countries get attracted towards it.
It brings the revolution in people's thinking. And also foreign travellers get attracted towards it.

No, we do not need a smart city at this moment. First of all, we have to build the villages smart enough. Educate the people and make them hygienic. There are many villages till now where there has no power. So, first of all, we have to develop them. Then we will move toward smart cities.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Yes, I do think that we need smart cities. It will ease the life of common man. Also, I t will encourage everybody to enhance educational level themselves. And get to know the latest things happening around the city. It will also encourage foreign trade import which will help in economy rise of a nation and also enhance tourism.

Of course, we need smart cities but this is not the right time to have it. India is still among developing countries, a number of illiterate people is more than that of literate people. They even don't know to use smart phones so obviously smart cities will be of no use to them. Rather focusing on having smart cities we have many other zones which need our attention. Yes, I agree that in many past years condition of villages are improved now but still number of villages are untouched from government schemes today those villages need our focus. We all heard about how Tejas train conditions get worst afters its 1st day of starting. Actually, Indian people are not enough matured to handle smart cities. And we can't just copy western things, first we need to be smart then only we can afford smart cities.

Smarts cities are must for developed nations but India is developing nation so I think we should first focus on making people educated and improving our economic condition. Then after that, of course, we will be needing smart cities.
People in India are not mature enough to handle smart cities like on the first day Tejas train passengers stole things from it, broke things and made its condition worse. So, for now, we should be focusing on the development of our country first.

Hello, friends.
I would like to express my views in favour of the existence of smart cities. Yes, we really need smart cities as.
1. They are the sign of development in our country.
2. Smart cities have many facilities which normal cities don't usually have. Like free wifi in various localities, Metro train, mega malls etc.
3. Smart cities are preferred to keep clean which is helpful in keeping environment clean n healthy.
4. People become more active, advanced, cultured, punctual and educated by living in these cities.

Well according to me, developing country like India should focus on the primary needs first. The Majority of the population lives in the villages. Most of them do not have even basic needs like roads, electricity, water supply, food and education. So rather than spending thousand of crore to make few smart city, the main target should be to improve the condition of villages, so that India develop evenly.
Secondly, our country is working on bullet trains, and the condition of the life line that is railways is getting worse day by day. Similarly rather than spending a huge amount of money to built bullet train, we should improve our railway and road system.
