Do we really need Smart Cities?

Yes, we need smart cities because currently india's GDP is increasing very rapidly it have been predicted that india's GDP will overtake many country's GDP and will become 3rd largest GDP behind US and China by 2035, so these 15-20 years are for india, during this time India will have to do maximum development and will become a developed country, so this is the high time for making smart cities and according to me India should also focus on developing rural area because there are many villages in India who doesn't have basic facilities like electricity, water etc. So India should work for both smart cities and smart villages.

Smart city important for our country. Because to implement the basic factor for a example 24 hours electricity and then water supply and then younger to get in job.

So really need for the smart cities.

Yes, in my opinion we really need Smart cities 1st start from us then start from small rural area villages, develop over education system if peoples are educated then they self start to cooperate maintain Smart city. Cleanses is also a very important point because pollution Causes diseases. 24hrs electricity, water supply etc these are the basic need of people govt work on it.

And the answer is, look at the other countries Streets, roads, bus stands, railway station and whatever their infrastructure is, they are all neat and clean. Sometimes it seems like now only they are created. It's all because of those countries public, and strict rules regarding cleanliness. Yes, we want smart cities in our country, it attracts tourism, makes our locality a healthy place to live, increase countries image. But along with providing smart cities government should also set some strict fine on those people who throw garbage or spit on the street, there is a need to change the public thought first, it needs to tell them that our country is also our home, country should be always clean like we keep clean our home.

But their views are first we must improve our villages and then we need to improve our cities. Smart cities is must. We need to upgrade us to next level. There are huge population in our nation, so ours is developing country, we need to improve our city for the benifit of us. In fact we are nowadays becoming a smart city. For eg, water scarcity must be avoided, employment issues must be overcomed, diseases should be cured. We are next generarations. We must improve our country. Yes, now we look at the other countries our country has less no. Of cities than the others why we need is to develop the country and increase the per capital income of the people who are living in the town's and giving more opportunity to the people in the rural and developing them with the smart cities and also for developing the tourism and sending the things that are present in the country. That's why we need the smart countries.

In my opinion, at the present time there are much more things that need our attention.

About half of the population of India residing in villages, jhuggis, we really need to think is having a smart city justifiable.

Instead of investing money to form smart cities, we should rather need to develop villages and provide basic requirements for a healthy living for the people living in those villages. Developing smart cities will abridge the gap between the holistic development of India as a nation. We have to understand that our farmers from whom we get to satisfy our stomach are mostly the residents of the village and thus their development will lead to the development of village as a whole. So, we should find out ways to develop villages to form Cities rather than forming cities into smart cities.

In my opinion no smart cities are required.

Because, The root cause of urban movement that is agrarian crisis, joblessness and poor infrastructure in villages these factors are being ignored at the cost of preparing for the urban shift.
