In my opinion, we don't need a smart city, we need a smart country where every citizen would be smart enough.

How many people live in a city?India is a country where maximum people live in rural areas. 80% of the people of our country can not spend more than 20 Rs. In a day. 19% of total poor in the world are from India. These people don't even know whether they have foods tomorrow or not. Many children are suffering from malnutrition. The Government of India still can not provide Basic needs like foods, safe drinking water, education, shelter, medical facility to maximum people of India after 70 years of independence. Unemployment is also a big issue in India. Our country's GDP is increasing but unfortunately, 56% of total GDP is in the hands of only 1% of our people. So rich is becoming richer and poor is becoming poorer.

So, in my opinion, at present, we don't need to focus on smart cities. First, we must focus on how to fulfill the basic needs of poor people. Our mission should be no children with malnutrition, 100% literacy rate, 100% employment. When people become smart enough then government don't need to worry about smart cities. India itself become a smart country.

Hello, friends.

First of all, what is a smart city?

The Smart city is a city where each and every facility must be available to the people at their doorsteps with many conveniences. The city where we can see economical growth, best educational facility, best healthcare provided, comfortable transportation facilities etc available.

In my point, we do not need smart cities at the current situation because the maximum percentage of people in India are illiterate and live in poverty. So the major concern of the government must be to utilize the revenue generated to make literacy rate higher and reduce poverty.

As per my view, India does not need smart cities if we want to develop our nation than our main focus is on to develop rural areas rather than that to make a city to smart city. Our main aim is to reduce the poverty, corruption and much more. But how the smart city now with all the facilities but no freedom. By making cities smart we become technological but somehow we missing the humanity in the environment.

We don't yet need a smart city rather the government should focus on poverty, hunger, homeless and most important on the army force. If a country could fight against these issues then later on we have to think about smart city. But in India, the thing which is good is being best but at the same time the thing which is bad is being worst. Government should focus on each and every perspective equally.

As per my view, we need a smart city. If each and evry country will become a smart city than our country will be fully developed. But for this only government is not responsible as the citizens we should also have to do something and make efforts to make our city smart and green.

Hello, guys, I am M Shruti and my point of view is that yes we need smart cities. But after reading this topic the first question that comes to our mind is what is a smart city? The Smart city is basically a fully developed area with good facilities for health, education, and transportation. The Smart city also means a developed area with well-constructed roads and well transportation along with good health, education & cleanliness. We need smart city so as to develop our country along with developing the world. The Frist thing to develop our India or to cities of India smart city, we need to educate & train people what are the advantages of a smart city. And how can people contribute in making cities of India smart city.

Hi.

Yes, we need smart cities but with that, we need smart citizens too. Smart citizens are the main part of smart cities. They are the one who will join hands then only the dream of a smart city be possible. Need to think about it.

Yes.

Friends we need smart cities because smart cities make us a developed country and to make India developed country, we have to make our society smart. To make our society smart we have to focus on the smart projects of India like e-e-governance and online transactions etc. Which reduces corruption of the country also. We the people of India should also focus on the greenery and the plantation of the country because smart cities have fewer plants than a village that increases global warming, so for a developed country we have to focus on both i.e. smart cities and plantation and provide proper education for the illiterate peoples that make our country developed one.

Thank you.
