Do we really need Smart Cities?

Smart city is one of the initiative step taken by government It is really appreciatable. It is much needed for developing the country to standardise their economic conditions. About smart city, It has really a lot of good features. For example clgs, school, hospital etc. It would bring people to the next level of life.

Smart cities in the sense of developed cities is what need of our country. Not only this India first of all need is literate people who can make the cities developed. Making cities smart will be much easier when people will be literate.

We need smart villages also but we can't compare the both. Because citizens of big cities deserve a high profile life. They have knowledge and education up to that level which is required to use all modern facilities and ICT tools.

The Dark side of this that it will increase the discrimination against the lower class and upper class. But in the sense of to do for all. If we don't do for some. It is not faring for that.

I think we need smart cities because smart cities provide us the latest technologies and with the latest technology we can do work with less time. With the help of smart cities, there are so many benefits for the city like clean and hygienic and fastest transportation because the government is willing to start the bullets train. What we should not forget our backbone that is the agriculture first we have to develop the villages we can provide them with all latest technology equipment for developing The villages. With the help of smart city is we can compete with the foreign countries as well. With lots of latest technology, we can reduce some working time. With the help of smart cities, it is we Who will get the most benefit of it. It Simplifies our work.

Yes. The Smart city is need of our future. If we want to become developed country then it's a better decision. From this way, we improve our lifestyle and we see the how our city become smart by using technology. It's very vital decision to take feet forward with changing world and make competition in positive way. Smart city is not dream it's our right. In this way all the power United and improve which part of city is weak by using technology which play important role to do the work in faster.

Today we are discuss about we really need smart cities. In my opinion. Yes we really need smart cities. Because smart cities are reduce the economic problem and pollution problem. But we have to some resources. (money and education people). But today life : education system is more complicated. For example: NEET exam (Tamil medium students doesn't understand the questions), Tamil medium student's can't speak English & other languages. So, first of all we are change to the education system. (to guide the students and social awareness and change to the old syllabus and include the CBSE syllabus in Tamil& English medium). Then smart cities means good transportation, education, physical methods (food, shelter, water) and reduce pollution, economic growth. Then, most important to improve the security system in India. (For example: recently - Ransomware virus is a type of malicious software that blocks to the access of personal data and threatens to public). So India provide security system and reduce hacker's. Then school and college to make a wifi system.

Yes, We really need smart cities because smart cities various types of facilities are available.

Such as food, shelter education water, electricity etc. Smart cities should clear and cleanness in cities distance between 500m keep garbage box.

Wi-fi facility is also available to maintain the speed and time management compulsory. Attractive buildings and shopping mall. Traffic rule should be maintained properly.

I agree with all of you, that before making the city smart, we should try to make the people smart and villages smart but if we keep waiting to be every people smart and every village smart the country which is developing with us will overtake us soon and the will become developed.

So in my opinion, govt should focus on to make people smart but at the same time to make a smart city.

No, I don't think so. The reason being today there are smart cities in India but then also there are areas in those`cities which are still backwards. So sometimes I really feel that by giving the tag of the smart city to any city is that city really progressing? Are the people really keeping up with the progressive mentality? So unless and until we try to reach to all the people and change their thinking or do something that will affect the populations mindset, giving the tag of smart city isnt going to help because I have seen smart cities affected heavily with floods, poverty etc.

As per my view, we need a smart city. If each and evry country will become a smart city than our country will be fully developed. But for this only government is not responsible as the citizens we should also have to do something and make efforts to make our city smart and green.
