Yes. There is need of smart cities in India. Smart city is the richness of the city by its roads, infrastructure, public utility, malls, etc. Thus creating wide diversification in the city. We require to expand the city structure, so that the people living in the city & people coming in the city does not find any problem related to any living styles. The needs of people is increasing according to trend & thereby developing a city to smart city is essentially required.

In this world, to become a developed country, it should be equipped with well educated people, advanced technologies. A smart city does not only mean it should be advanced in the above sectors but also the people of the city should get a proper, clean environment to live in. So having smart cities does not mean that developing the industries, transportation etc but also improving the envronment of the people, animals. So, I don't think there is harm in having a smart city.

Hi,
As the topic says 'Smart Cities', there is already one thing developed in the country, that is 'Cities'. But why not the government think smartly and concentrate on developing the other part of the nation that is 70% of Indian population where people are still lacking basic amenities such as food, cloth, and shelter. Hence in my point of view, investing the capital for making smart cities does not improve in any way, rather it improves only the already improved areas.

Hi friends,
Yes, we need smart cities but before smart cities, we need to create a job for a people. When there is unemployment then how we developed smart cities. When we cross the hurdle of unemployment then automatically its effect on our society. And unemployment is removed by better learning. So, there a relation between all the things if we get education well then employment is not there, then people not below a poverty line and its support to making smart cities.

Yes, I believe there are needs of more smart cities because of better educational facilities, hospitals, medication and transportation facilities. It also leads to more attention to the foreign tourists leading to increase in tourism industry, increase in employment, etc. Smart cities are needed to grow India from developing nation to developed nation. This can be possible by making the villages smart. I believe these small baby steps will lead to large change in future.

Yes, from my point of view, smart cities are really needed but smartness must not be limited to certain cities and towns for that we should have smart government, smart officials and an entirely smart system in our country which can mould smart citizens to transform our whole country into a clean and smart one.
We must concentrate on and spent money on improving infrastructure mainly in remote villages of our country which is inevitable to make our India a smarter one.

Hi friends, In my point of view, smart cities is really needed. Because now India is only a developing country. If India wants to become developed country the smart cities is really needed. We couldn't get that easily. Eradication of corruption is the main thing to achieve smart city. On other hands, cleanness is also very important. Through the cleanness disease will be decreased. These things are not only enough. So we have to do many things to developing our country.

Hello everyone..
In our country where people could survive their lives in slum area too due to whatever their personal reasons, government should initiate some activities before making smart cities.
Otherwise, we may lead to see slum areas at the edges of SMART CITIES too.
Also, fares of municipal services may increase and that would hit the pocket of common people only.
At last, making smart city requires ample amount of fund so outcome should be proportional to it.

Yes, we really need smart cities as they modernize the society and the people' thoughts living in these socities. Not only this much, it also reduces the problems of natural calamities like we can take an freshly example of mumbai city which is very advanced and have the title of "London of India " was also flooded over 5 to 6 days. And people were very disgusted by it that all the cars were trapped in jam for 7-8 hours as there is no way to control rain on that area.
