Hello Friends,

In my point of view, we really need smart cities for good education, good governance system, fast implementation of city problems by our govt, for pollution free environment and for traffic management and for better life in cities etc.

But for this implementation it's needed to coordination between state and center govt. And for this needed skilled labour who can make this project smart.

Before going to discuss this topic let's see the essence of smart cities, specially in India.

If we go 200 years back there was a need of industrial revolution to make our nation economically strong.

After that, If we see the last decade then we will find a tremendous technological revolution to make our nation technologically strong.

But presently the prime issue that our country facing is environmental sustainability. And I think this issue will lead to another revolution called a green revolution.

A smart city is nothing but one of the major steps taken as a milestone of this green revolution.

Smart city can be defined as the smart use of renewable resources to make our environment sustainable.

As we all know green building concept including rooftop solar panel, special ventilation system, underground water storage facility this all are the major component of a smart city. Smart transportation techniques which will reduce accidents many folds is also a smart city approach.

So, as per current scenario, implementation of the concept of the smart city in our country is the only solution towards this mejor issue called environmental sustainability.

Developing smart cities are really a good initiative taken by government to connect the society with our modern technologies but for lower class people, it is still a challenge to understand such kind of things.

High poverty rate and the rate of death of farmers indicate that priority area investment is missing somewhere. Apart from that our recent connectivities like trains and public places are misused by our people themselves. So it will be only a matter of time when smart city will become dirt city.

So conclusively, India needed to invest money more in agriculture and the basic needs of people rather than making smart cities for now.

In my point of view, a smart city is needed. The Government selected few states in India for this smart city.

The economic level is raising. Smart city develops the education level.

Reducing the traffic, and control the traffic. Going to some other place, to reach quickly for this smart city.

Reducing the accident. So many features in the smart city.

Thank you.

According to me, cities and towns having the high infrastructure, high-level communication, easy transport and access to every basic thing that makes life easy combines to make up a smart city or town. So the basic is "ease of life". Metropolitans and big cities are getting far more advantages than the rural areas to grow on these lines as such people are still lagging behind. The focus should be more on the roots than the main bark I mean we should first to connect our source of food, the farmers and the rural people to this growing world. Initiatives should b taken for their welfare first providing them a better quality of seeds, fertilizers, machinery, proper water & power supply and connectivity.

India, a country with a population of 132.46 cr out of which 66.46% comprises of the rural population requires to bring up a "Movement of Smartness" focused especially on rural population for over a decade. Do this then think of words like "smart cities and all". It takes time because the population of 132 cr is not a joke.

Hey guys.

Smart cities are in need for our country. Day by day the pollution is increasing and that is severely harming the people around. The concept of smart city is that people would rely on the internet for their daily works. That is from buying groceries for their home to online transactions, builind up their home with intelligent technologies to fight the environment change etc.

Smart city is one where people change their traditional ways of life and move on to modern era.

By not using their owned cars to go to work and trying carpooling is another way to be smart. This could definitely tackle the pollution and traffic problems.

Then comes to changing the home for a better living. An internet connection and everything there is connected themselves, that is the idea of smart city.

Generating there own electricity from may be solar, and not relying on the kseb. Increasing the use of CNG or electric cars for locomotion. There are a lot of ways we could transfer our birth home into a smart one so that the next generation live a happy life.

In my point of view, we need a smart city. The smart city provides good water facilities, transaction and good education. Introducing a smart city in all over India it will come in a developed country. In India has some small villages till they did not have proper hospitality and they haven't a proper road for the transaction. Smart city introduces new technology so it is very useful for people.

I feel Smart city basically focuses on cities and doesn't focus on villages and rural areas where development is needed the most. Urban people can still live without a smart city but for rural people it's difficult to even survive. So, I think India needs to focus on what's the need rather than focusing on serving only one section of the society which doesn't need so much of attention.
