Yes. We need smart cities. But before making smart cities we have to make smart people. First, we have to make all peoples literate. Because with the education people get the sense to survive in society. The Latest example about uneducated people attacks on Tejas express. Tejas express is a part of the smart city, but few people broke his windows. Therefore without literacy smart city is meaningless.

Hi everyone.

Yes, we do need smart cities because smart cities will attract the foreign investors to invest in our country by this our economy gets a huge boost by this we will have more employment oppurtunities by this there will be reduction in poverty. By this we can become a developed nation soon. But it also has some demerits such as only smart cities won't workout. Our people should be smarter enough to cope up with these cities. So I suggest government to take initiative to implement skill development programmes where an individual can improve his/her skill. I believe that one can become smarter with his/her own skills. So making our nation and our people simultaneously smarter would give us better results.

Thank you.

The idea of Smart cities is a very effective one since the progress of any nation will need to start from somewhere. That somewhere is initiative of developing the cities, concentrating on smaller parts of the nation one by one will definitely help us become a developed country with the proper process.

Smart City are spoiling the agriculture and the farmers associated with it. Development should be in distributed form in all over the country in spite of concentrated in few cities. Due to development in cities, village people has to move towards cities to survive hence concentration of population in smart cities again create problems like pollution, mental stress, anxiety.

It is always said that if you have to reach the top you have to start from beginning. Same is applicable for smart cities.

In order to achieve the dream of smart cities we have to star from beginning.

In India there are still many villages which can not get light, water. There are many places which are still lacking of roads transports etc.

So firstly, our government has to solve this type of problem so they that at least every village and cities have at least these basic facilities.

Once they all came under same platform then obviously we can area about a smart cities.

Yes, I agree with all of you. But according to my opinion, a city should be termed as a smart city if it possess some salient features of the smart city like proper sewage, drainage system, proper town planning, proper space for a playground and basic amnesties required for life, and hence every city should be smart city and it is very much relevant.

Hello everyone.

So, the topic is basically about the need of smart cities. The concept of smart cities is basically derived from Japan and launched in India on 25 June 2015, which basically strives to renovate 100 smart cities (now revised to 109) in India. According to me, it is a very good initiative as it will provide a better quality of life by giving better communication technology and better transportation services. Now to cope up with the rapidly changing world we need to change ourselves by taking certain initiatives like this smart city mission. Now it depends on its implementations. However, not only government is responsible, we citizens to need to change our mindset and cooperate with them.
