Hi friends.

I do have a different opinion on smart cities. India has been developing in fields like sports, science, space and technology. But the major problems have been poverty and unemployment. There are lots of villages in India which lack basic resources like transport, hospitals, proper house and an hygienic environment. Action should be taken against such issues first rather than building up smart cities. Looking into future is good but neglecting the present situation will lead to more havoc in the country. Let villages get developed by providing proper roads and the government should spend a good amount in educating people who are unaware of schemes put forward to them. Missions like swatch Barat and building toilets have boosted they hygienic rates of the country. First, we should develop the village to be smart and parallelly should look upon smart cities. Cities have their basic needs while villages whose main source of employment is agriculture which has always been the backbone of India should be looked upon as it has seen a great decline in production in years passed by.

Living smart and thinking smart will help conserve Indian culture rather than showing to the world that India has smart cities regretting the fact that India also has numerous poor and unsophisticated villages.

Thank You.

In my opinion, First our government should help those poor people who do not have proper home to live, they do not have nutritious food to eat, they do not have proper clothes to wear, do not have money to save their families life if they suffer from any disease. For making smart city and for making bullet trains in India need lots of money and that money government should use first to help those poor people who need help. Smart cities are called smart only when there will not be any poor people in our country. After making smart city we cannot be counted in list of super power country until or unless we use those lots of money to help those needy poor people who are suffering daily and many poor people die in our country because of no proper food, no hospital for them and many of them can't able to educate their children because of money problem. Instead of wasting so much of money to make smart cities first government should use that money to help those poor people. After eradicating poverty then they should start to make a smart cities and bullet trains and then only we will be in list of developed countries.

Hi everyone!

Converting existing cities into the smart city is a good idea, but converting villages into smart cities will be our biggest mistake because whenever a city is developed it requires more industries to develop.

And it requires sacrifices from our farmers to sell their land to the government for making new government Projects. The real beauty of India is its villages, we will lose pure Oxygen to breathe we will lose our Indian cultural values too if we will turn our villages into cities and moreover we also get food to eat from villages only.

So, if government Make some improved changes in existing cities it is a good idea, but remember one thing do not play with nature, otherwise when nature will take its revenge back it will be very dangerous and horrible.

We come to the nation where 57% land is agricultural land. So before going for a smart city, we can also have smart villages. It will create a backbone of our nation.

Hi everyone.

I am malatesh daddikoppa.

"Do we really need smart cities".

In my opinion currently we don't need smart cities, we need smart country, it means our country should be become a developing to developed country. The main thing is Indian government need to concentrate on villages.

Now Indian cities batter than villages,

In India 60 percent of population living in villages only 40 percent in cities but more than 70 percent developing activities happening in cities.

But some villages can't able to take basic necessities also those are.

1. Water supply.

Some villages can't able to get pure drinking water also.

2. Electricity supply.

In India few villages face a problems regarding power.

3. Road facilities.

Few villages face problem of roads they don't have good roads for doing anything.

So Indian government need to correct these kinds of problems in villages after that we can concentrate on smart cities.

Hi, All I am Rajesh GD,

I would like to add few more points to your list.

Does India Need more smart cities or More smart peoples? We need to think about it.

No Country has been ever developed by smart cities scheme like our Indian concept.

If The smart peoples exist in the country then surely it will have not only smart cities villages as well.

For that, what action needs to be taken from Govt of India.

Instead of investing much more money in creating smart cities, should invest in free education, Free Medical facilities, Free water and flawless electricity across the Country.

Once the Govt has taken care of these things for underprivileged regions then people will have the smart cities in his own mind itself then they turn all villages and cities into Smart cities.

And also I request in educated peoples in India, Only Govt cannot do all these things we have to joins our hands towards country progress with it.

Change the mind between major dispute, fight for natural resources and has to create the awareness as we are united and one family to live peacefully across the nation.

Yes, I agree with all that smart cities needed in India to show our rich culture to giving the message to the whole world that we are chasing all country to become number one.

Our GDP now it is 2.7 Trillion and the current growth rating is 6.7% soon we will turn from developing county to developed country.

I Hope our beloved and Honorable PM Narendra Modi doing the Best job to create this awareness all over the planet we always thank him and his team.

Hi everyone,

In my point of view, we really need smart cities but for making smart cities we have to cut down trees and also we'll not have farming lands after making smart cities so before making smart cities we should plan to make our cities smart as the way that we can save our trees, lands and our environment because if we lose trees then how we'll fulfil our basic needs like food, fresh air. On the other hand, if we want a better life with good infrastructure, good health facilities, and good education institutions we really need smart cities. For smart cities government's first step should be to make our villages smart because when villages will be smart only then cities can be smart and both of these will make our country smart.

Thank you.

Good morning everyone.

Talking about smart cities what do you mean by smart cities? Cities having good infrastructure, roads, wifi, cinemas etc do we really need this? There is a need for sustainable cities rather than smart cities. Problems like employment, corruption, basic educational needs, food etc still lacking behind, if the government really want to do anything for us then first solve these problems. Smart cities are just one step forward for our ends, with increasing pollution and decreasing of water level day by day this is what happening in smart cities. Cities like Mumbai and Delhi we called them smart cities but do we really happy to live there. People migrate from rural to urban just to have a good job and to fulfil basic needs. If the government provide employment opportunity in the rural areas itself and fulfil basic needs than there is no need of smart cities. Expenditure increases with an increase in demand, our country consists of poor people more than the rich person and they can't afford to live in smart cities with no job. Ok, we need smart city than for that we have to cut down the trees and have to occupy the farmland for infrastructure but after that, we will not have farming land and trees so from where we will fulfil our basic needs of food and fresh air.

So, there is no need for smart cities we just need sustainable cities with smart minds.

Hi,

In my point of view, before living in a smart city the citizens must be smart. For that, we need to make huge changes in our education system.

If the people will not be educated/smart then how they will utilise the facilities.

How will they maintain the smart cities?

So at first, we need to learn - what actually means of the smart city? What are the facilities? How can we utilise?

So let the Indians make smart. Then we will no need to discuss this matter, they will automatically change their way of living and make the city smartest.

"AKHIR PAREGA INDIA TABHI TO BAREGA INDIA".

First of all, we must understand, what a smart city is and what are the things that make a city smart. A smart city have facilities like smart street lighting, smart garbage collector system, smart parking and smart roads too. Till now, we don't have proper implementation of basic facilities in most of cities and rural areas of country. So, before thinking about smart cities we must be more inclined towards fulfilling the basic necessities of the country.
