As there are development we are more focus on smart cities but before that, the main focus should be undeveloped cities or towns of India because at one end we are developing cities on the other end there are small towns or villages which are undeveloped. So, if we have to make our country development then we should make every city or town develop not only focus on big cities. Because together is better.

Hello everyone.
According to me, We should be more focused on backward cities, villages than smart cities as it would not only generate employment there but would also help to churn out-migration that takes place from villages to cities thereby increasing overall living standard.

Good morning everyone,
Thanks for allowing me to express my thoughts regarding this topic. The given topic is a very important and interesting topic. Let's start with defining the smart city. There is no universal definition for a smart city. The picture of the smart city contains a wishlist of infrastructure and services which describe his or her level of aspiration. Smart city started by respected pm Narendra Modi in 2015. It is an essential step to be taken in order for the country to be digitalized and in turn effected demonetization. A smart city reduces global warming which is very necessary nowadays. A smart city helps us to minimize the electric bill and various others and improves the availability of the internet around the country. While going through the process there will be a lot of employment opportunities. A lot of rural areas do not have minimum facilities and they are not introduced to the smart cities. Awareness must be created among all the people and they must know the advantages of being or making a smart city. It's not government responsibility alone it is a collective responsibility of people to be smart and encourage making smart cities. " one who does not through the dice will never get a six".

Good morning everyone.
Talking about smart cities what do you mean by smart cities? Cities having good infrastructure, roads, wifi, cinemas etc do we really need this? There is a need for sustainable cities rather than smart cities. Problems like employment, corruption, basic educational needs, food etc still lacking behind, if the government really want to do anything for us then first solve these problems. Smart cities are just one step forward for our ends, with increasing pollution and decreasing of water level day by day this is what happening in smart cities. Cities like Mumbai and Delhi we called them smart cities but do we really happy to live there. People migrate from rural to urban just to have a good job and to fulfil basic needs. If the government provide employment opportunity in the rural areas itself and fulfil basic needs than there is no need of smart cities. Expenditure increases with an increase in demand, our country consists of poor people more than the rich person and they can't afford to live in smart cities with no job. Ok, we need smart city than for that we have to cut down the trees and have to occupy the farmland for infrastructure but after that, we will not have farming land and trees so from where we will fulfil our basic needs of food and fresh air.
So, there is no need for smart cities we just need sustainable cities with smart minds.

Hi everyone.
Smart cities are innovative as well as tactful ways for a countries development, but a cooperative and innovative workforce and the government is a prerequisite for the correct implementation of this project. It has been five years since the project is being put up, but the no of smart cities of India is still very less. It is true that the efforts of the government are worthy but the pace and standard of the implementation should be increased. It is time that we take the project to next level ie is smart India making our country as a whole smart enough, it should also focus on the provision of health sanitation, good working conditions etc, we all know that villages are the identity of our country so policy should be put forward to establish smart villages because smart cities lead to rapid urbanization and industrialization and the basic character of our villages will have tampered.
Setting of special economic zones, industrial corridors, digital life, etc would ease the objective of smart cities.
This is my view on my topic.

We need smart and sustainable cities. We should try and implement successful innovations practiced elsewhere in the world particularly related to urban farming/vertical farming. The idea of a smart city should be an evolving one because the needs and requirements will vary as we go forward. The key goal is to successfully adapt to these changing conditions such as changes in the urban ecosystem due to climate change factors, breaks in the food supply chain systems and so on. The game-changer is not just technology but innovations aimed at adapting to a different sets of circumstances.

Well,
According to my own view, I wanna say this project was a big stepping stone to develop our Country and Cities. We all know that this project had been launched by our Prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi in 2015 on 25th June. A total of 98,000core has been approved by the Indian Cabinet to development of 100 smart cities and rejuvenation of 500 others. It has a big aim that is the development of our country through developing cities.
So, In our country, there are many rural places. Not only that, but rural people also suffering a lot and they are facing many problems. Like, lack of good drainage system, lack of sufficient hospital, lack of good infrastructure, lack of food, etc. We can tell the poverty is a big challenge in Infront of them.
I think if our government tries to develop our cities, develop our society and as well as a country so, the government should provide lots of opportunities for rural areas and the rural people. Like, proper food, water supply, electric facilities, etc. This way rural communities will be developed. Because a few days ago Indian-American economist Mr. Avijit Banerjee said India is a developing country in the world not developed countries due to the increasing poverty rate.
So, I think if urban people and the rural people both have the same facilities our Cities will be fulfilled to developed and if your city will develop or smart our lifestyles will be developed or smart as well as our society. In the near future, this type of developed society will be Developed our country in the world.
Well, I think we really need The Smart Cities.
Thank you.

Hello, my friends. I am very thankful to IndiaBix to let me infer my view on smart cities.
As you all know that smart cities means development of country in some major fields.
According to me, development is not mean only smart livelihood but also growth in education and Heath fields. If we talk about these fields, India comes at the bottom list. So there's an alarming need of growth.

Good morning.
This is Shivangi. As per my point of view, a smart city is a necessity because eventually each and every country is doing its best in making their cities smarter and as a result, India is still behind. Making cities smarter results in employment generation, good facilities which in turn results in making our economy stronger.
