Of course, here we all need smart cities because of basic amenities will be there. All citizen will benefit up to limits as of 24*7 electricity, fast & forward travel service, water supply, clean city, al the basic requirements are there to fulfil the basic formalities. But here we have to look about the actual benefits and cons. Here we have to see for a better future but city should be take care of the agricultural research and environmental activities. In smart city actually, it is profitable up to poor for their lifestyle and activities. For the hope of job and to search for a work urban areas people who are jobless they will definitely come to smart city for their empty stomach. Govt should be take care of them and their environment. There should be awareness about health and wealth. Because of AI and IoT we got better refinement and smart cloud activities in short time period but it can be hacked by hackers. So cybercrime can be increased. So cyber control should be keep on eye them. It should be easier all to keep relaxing with our enjoyment of life. People should have a limit up to industrial activity and pollution should be managed in control. There is dearth of concrete environment in city. So implants of green plants and agriculture should be developed. There could be social awareness about and in every engineering college there will facilitate for new ideas for improving the smart cities requirements. It needs to fulfil our social things by contrast upon the activities of human being. It's a good opportunity for better future can be compared with other backward cities and people also get modernized by this good act.

Yes, we really need a smart city. Firstly, I want to tell that what is a smart city? A smart city is that in which there is a proper facilities of education system, regarding health especially during women's delivery, good transportation system and electricity and proper water supply in the areas. These are some basic fundamentals needs for a people to live. A metro city and proper network or accessibility of internet should also provide in the city or villages so that people can update with the knowledge.

Before going to discuss this topic let's see the essence of smart cities, specially in India.
If we go 200 years back there was a need of industrial revolution to make our nation economically strong.
After that, If we see the last decade then we will find a tremendous technological revolution to make our nation technologically strong.
But presently the prime issue that our country facing is environmental sustainability. And I think this issue will lead to another revolution called a green revolution.
A smart city is nothing but one of the major steps taken as a milestone of this green revolution.
Smart city can be defined as the smart use of renewable resources to make our environment sustainable.
As we all know green building concept including rooftop solar panel, special ventilation system, underground water storage facility this all are the major component of a smart city. Smart transportation techniques which will reduce accidents many folds is also a smart city approach.
So, as per current scenario, implementation of the concept of the smart city in our country is the only solution towards this mejor issue called environmental sustainability.

The discussion that India needs smart cities or not takes us back to the decades when we were not free. British tried making us smart, though it was a failure, their failure or ours, thats our concern. From infrastructure to their builders, education to the students pursuing it, Indian police to their police men, politics to the politicians. Country to their countrymen. Its the cooperation that makes a city smart, afterall its the people who make CITY a CITY. Otherwise a zoo with an elegant infrastructure rendered beautiful by the builders of good times could have been a city. But whatever the extent of magnificence of a zoo be. We never calI it a city. I guess people should be smart, be it by the name of smart cities or just ordinary cities.
Indian government has done much in making Indain people smart. And surely still going to do the same for next million years to come. We do need smart people and thus smart cities. India is going to be great again.

Hi.
This is Dhananjay, as we all know that today topic is about smart cities. By this process, if we are able to minimize some ratio of unemployment problem which has been the main headache of our country, then it could be a great idea. Another thing is, if the government really wants the development of our country, then they should put more effort in the field of education. In rural areas, people are there, who don't have any idea about "city". They are just too far away from this city and its so-called facility. If the government can do some improvement in the villages where a good medical and educational system, transportation system, etc. Are the daydream for the villagers. If this thing will happen, then I must say, there is no requirement of smart cities. If we will have smart literate persons in every area, the development will automatically come.
So, put much effort on that rural area, where people actually need it.
Thank you.

Yes, India needs smart cities. Smart cities are hubs of development. They attract people from various parts of the country, which becomes major source of human resource. They contain all the necessary resources like technology, transportation, people for the growth. Smart cities effectively uses the resources of the place and creates the resources for the people of the place.
The developed cities pave the way for the development of the remaining cities. Environmental conservation and sustainable development must also be included into the development of the cities.

Hi friends.
My name is Shital.
As per my view, a smart city is a place where we have the basic amenities along with advanced technology. So developing the agricultural and industrial areas along with the appropriate knowledge for the same with the mass who are involved with it will make the place a smart city as they will know how to utilise their domain to get the best for all. If our base i.e. the mass is educated and given appropriate technology then the place it will be used for will become smart and smartness should never be restricted only in cities but this will make it spread across the globe.

According to me, yeah; we really need smart cities. Firstly everyone have to clear this thing that smart city means not only make our streets clean. Smart city means everything has to be connected with network smartly i.e. if we talk about solar energy system, water pollution, traffic jam, air pollution, noise pollution, development process, transportation system, Information system etc each and every field will be work smartly with networking system. Smart city means you get more and more value of work at the less effort. Everything will be done in easy way like transaction, bill payment, tracking the status of visa, getting the location, any type of service etc. But for making smart city, we have to invest large amount of money in millions or billions but after one time investment, city will save almost $19 billion money as compare the current position. After making our city as a smart city it will be ideal city for other cities. At the present time, 31% people are belong to urban areas but after making our city as a smart city this ratio will be automatically increase. So we really need smart cities.
