In my opinion, we don't require smart cities if we develop smart villages, where there is no problem for living education and for sanitation, we should develop our villages first to provide solutions for farmers, so if we have all these requirements then in cities overcrowd will decrease.

First of all, I would like to say current scenario of India. If we need smart city, we have to promote smartness in every activity especially in village. Still most of village people not getting reasonable salary for their basic need. Providing reasonable salary to them will automatically brings to smartness. Therefore what I am saying is, increase employment opportunity is the key to promote smartness in Indian. If our government do this, there is no additional effort for creating smart city in India. Automatically I will become developed country.

According to my opinion, yes, of course, the developing countries like India need smart cities for better development of our country. Before developing smart cities first of all we need to know what is a smart city? what is the use of it? that too in our country there is a lot of problems like un-employment, illiteracy. Etc and many people are not able to fulfill their basic needs like food, shelter, cloths so, first of all, our government should focus on these things later on we will focus on smart cities.

Yes, we need the smart city but before of this step, we should focus on our villages because our economy is an agriculture-based. If we get success in the villages so I am sure we get the dreams that our father of the nation is a vision for the future.

HELLO everyone, I am Aurobinda.
As my point of view, We really need Smart Cities because if a city will be smart its surrounding rural area will be developed.
Because it's offer jobs to youth who belongs to the rural area. If youths of the rural area have a job then they will develop the rural area.
Another point is in a smart city all the man will smart they having the good technical skill and they also educated. The youth who comes from the rural area will learn a technical skill and other good things from the smart city so automatically the rural area will be developed.
The smart city also attracts foreign investor for investing in the smart city by which INDIA's economy will develop.

In my opinion, we are not able to work with the problems we are already facing as controlling water in smart cities like Mumbai during rainy seasons and we are thinking about the smart cities I agree it is a cool idea.
But we should deal with the basics then we should move ahead.
As we always step on the first step of ladder not directly jump to the last.

What is the meaning of a smart city? Is it enough to high infrastructure, wide roads, malls, theaters, shopping complexes, free WiFi, etc.? No smart city means there is enough facility for Health, Education, and Transportation. According to me, people need Smart City where they live in a peaceful environment and easily attach with Health, Education and Transportation services.

As there are development we are more focus on smart cities but before that, the main focus should be undeveloped cities or towns of India because at one end we are developing cities on the other end there are small towns or villages which are undeveloped. So, if we have to make our country development then we should make every city or town develop not only focus on big cities. Because together is better.

Yes ofcourse we need smart cities. But as per the criteria, we are far below the expectations. Development can be done step wise it can't be achieved in a single day. Still our country has many challenges like lack of education system, poor infrastructure and many more.
We should move forward to strengthen the basic things like proper education hospitals and roads then we can only make further steps in a better way like waste management and good governance, smart solutions to energy management and many more.

Yes, we need Smart Cities to improve the status of our country.
Smart technologies generally have enormous benefits including citizens, businesses, the government and the environment.
The concept of the smart city is influenced by the idea of developing the urban hubs which would be running on technology to provide better electricity and water supply, improve sanitation and recycling, proper traffic and transport management systems.
It have significant economic benefits which increase the labor productivity.
