Hello friends, NGOs are Non-Governmental Organisations and Non Profit organisations also, funded by legal persons or party. These organisations are boon for poor people. The work of these organisations is to provide education and medicine and provide information to live life in a better way specially women of ruler areas.

NGOs fights for people's rights. NGOs give employment which is major problem. There are some areas where government agencies are unable to do work there NGOs wok well. There are more than 20 lacks of NGOs in India having 1 NGO for each 600 people, but we Indians are still poor. These results show that NGOs are made to reduce the taxes.

Behind these organisations people make only their life better instead of poor people. So finally it could be say that NGOs are need of society to make life better but some reforms can be made so the working method of NGOs could be change.

NGOs in India are emerging at a rate tentatively equally to its population growth.

Since its been enough years to watch out the results of having NGOs in our social and economic systems since their appearance in India at a large scale its not illogical to assess the importance of them.

First of all NGOs have worked more for rich people to defend their black money than they have for concerned people.

Its very easy to have an NGO on paper with not an efficient mechanism of regulation and control of government, that is the reason why they are emerging this much fast.

As far as relevance is concerned its better to tax a bit more for public private partnership to implement schemes than creating a force of people who take things for granted (As no NGO volunteer takes any incentive, so long term effect can be this) and end up with creating inefficient socio-eco system here.

To begin with, it is crucial to recognize that dedicating oneself to welfare efforts does not imply neglecting our own interests or individual aspirations. It is, in fact, more productive when we synchronize our personal objectives with those of an NGO or any charitable organization.

For Example, if a person is interested in teaching and wants to get experience in a particular field they can initiate their respective journey by providing education to students who can't afford to go to school and the bridge that connects such aspirations are NGOs.

In other words, working for the betterment of others while also pursuing our own goals, has particularly no negative impact especially since NGOs are financially supported entities. Their primary focus is engaging in philanthropic work, which is centred around doing good.

Good morning everybody.

I strongly support the statement that NGOs are working for the welfare of people, animals and environment.

NGO stand for non-governmental organization. It plays a pivotal role in bringing sustainable development.

PETA-is a NGO which is working to protect the animals which are abused at the hands of neglected humans.

SKKK-Stands for Sandur kushala kala kendra. It is an organisation established to encourage the production of indeginous crafts.

Green peace-is an organisation to protect the environment.

NGO s are playing vital role in upliftment of downtrodden society, defending women and child rights, helping the people during natural calamities and spreading awareness among the people. Snehalaya and janodaya are examples of NGO which are helping in socio-economic development of women.

In my opinion, NGOs is very helpful for poor and needy person if someone doesn't have a place to live at that time they help those people who need a place to stay they also help poor children for getting good knowledge and giving some food but some person is doing wrong work under the roof of NGOs they are investing money for their own life and own expenditure they have fake documents and they take money those people who really help the poor and needy person but it happens sometimes not all NGOs are not doing this thing but some are but finally somewhere or other NGOs is the boon of poor and needy people but we should alert that time we give a donation at first we know NGO is really working for a needy person or not after knowing all information you donate your money and help the poor people.

Thanks.

Hello friends, It would not be a gain sharing for many of us. My question is are NGO's really performing the work they are mend for the ans is a BIG NO reasons being many people join NGO's just 2 make money if you look at the data many of the people who run these NGO's are generally political leaders, entrepreneurs, or some social workers many of them join this just to save on tax or to convert their black money so where is the point of helping poors, physically challaged their are around 1. 2 million NGO's operating in India which is having a total population of 1. 2 billion (census 2000).

Now the question arises why these 1. 2 million NGO's are not able to serve the purpose they are mend for the reason is clear their pocket is much bigger then any life, environment etc.

I think there are some good points about ngo's in India as well as some bad points. The ngo's are providing basic amenities to the children like good primary education, removing the malnutrition among the children etc. For youth it is providing the job opportunities, it also providing awareness among people about various diseases especially among rural areas, giving support of education, shelter, food to the orphan and semi-orphan people, providing free blood to the person needing blood.

On the other hand as the ngo's are more than 5 million in India but still we are the poorest country in the word because there are people who are showing their selfish attitude towards getting more money, corruption is also another factor in the failure of large no. Of organisation.

Hello friends.

Well, good topic for the discussion. I consider NGOs are doing good work in our country. NGOs are helping to eradicate poverty, unemployment, illiteracy. But rampant corruption always frustrate us. Even in NGOs there is always drastic possibility to do this activity because everywhere all types of peoples are living in this country. But I think NGOs are improving something.

For example:-people are helping to save cow by giving shelter in their field. Meanwhile, government give ten lakh rupees to save cows but some leader deteriorate the image of NGOs. So this is my humble request to people who want to join NGOs and who are going to join NGOs. Please do welfare of the people. So our should be free from above maintained rampant glitches.

Thank you.

As already explained by many above, basically a NGO takes financial help from society so as to use them to help the needy people fight poverty, illiteracy etc. In return government exempt them from taxes. I personally know my college friends who are running a NGO to educate hapeless children. They started it with the help of college friends and as days passed by they are working on a huge scale and doing very well for the betterment of poor children in Karnatak & Jharkhand. Super 30 batch being run by Ex-IPS officer in Bihar is also a kind of NGO teaching poor children for IIT-entrance.

On the basis of above two examples I can say that there are some NGOs in India which are doing justice to their motto and actually helping the needy ones.

My wife works for a NGO known as Guru Sewa Sansthan in Gurgaon part of NCR. There are over 200 children coming to this school run by NGO daily. The NGO has been started by one gentleman who retired as chief engineer from govt services. He is 70 years old and still takes pain in ensuring that needful is done all these children. The school has been running for over many years and it could get around 150 children admitted in to some of the better private schools under 25% quota for poors.

Appreciate that there are good persons who are continuing their good work despite the good and bad comments and no or little assistance. I also wish to take up such assignment once I have done with my professional career but wish to do this in some rural area.
