The popularity of this particular game can be attributed to the abundant opportunities it offers, while other sports receive comparatively less attention and funding, making them less prominent.

Additionally, cricket has been a sport that our nation has received various accolades and awards in for a considerable period, and this has undeniably played a significant role in contributing to its widespread popularity, in conjunction with the reasons mentioned earlier.

You can not think two different thing at a same time. People in India loves cricket. So they will watch cricket. Thus cricket will be commercialised and leave other sports behind. But if Someone is passionate to other sports there are huge scope for them like olympics and commonwealth games, etc. That's all.

Cricket is famous in India after winning 1983 World cup under Kapil Dev captaincy, after the first T20 World cup introducing IPL made a huge role to attract towards cricket.

Although other sports like football, hockey, and tennis are watched by people when it is compared to cricket it has fewer viewers.

Parents of today's generation are interested in joining their children in cricket academies rather than other sports academies. This is also one of the main causes of the increasing number of cricket fans among other sports.

In my view, give freedom to children to choose their interested sports!

If a ranking were to happen for sports played in India, cricket would be in the top position, followed by football and kabaddi. This implies that cricket has stolen the limelight from other sports.

I conclude my opinion by stating that even though cricket has made its impact in India, every other sport deserves its respect.

In my point of view, money is playing a major in cricket.

That's why most youngsters are attracted to cricket along with their parents. Eventually, we want a secure life whether we study or sports but nowadays in cricket, money is a lot so cricket is Higher than other sports.

I completely agree on this and the reason being the popularity of cricket in the subcontinent and the major reason for this much of popularity is because of the fact that Kapil Dev and company won us a trophy which was literally impossible. And that gave every Indian a belief that we can compete at the global level.

The fact that India had the chance to play the Fifa World Cup in the 1950s but they couldn't because of the financial conditions at that time also plays a part in the popularity in cricket because if India had participated in fifa, you never know today football might have been the biggest sport in India.

No, because the reason for other sports are not as popular as cricket is that we are not good enough to compete globally in other sports. Cricket being most popular in our country would only help other sports showing the way to success.

Cricket wouldn't be this popular if not for our Indian stars who can compete against the best of worlds and even beat them, but in other sports, we are not good enough to compete and win against the best of the world except hockey which is not popular in any country.

Comparing, other sports rather than cricket. Cricket is the most valuable sport. One point I added it these are mentally and physically very comfortable for other sports.

Yes, I agree with this statement cricket dominates over other sports. India is obsessed with cricket and we can see the public giving more attention and interest to it than compared to any other sports.

So, in my opinion, cricket is so popular in India because Indians can relate to this sport so much and cricket has its own large fanbase.

Our media also promote cricket and have a very strong foundation and huge financial support as compared to other sports but in my point of view every sport has its own pros and cons we should appreciate other sports also.
