Can we dream of hosting the Olympics?

Well, I think for such a fastest growing economy like India, such kind of events is no more dreams. We can definitely host Olympics efficiently. But before taking the onus of organizing such an event, the government first pay attention for providing world class training and equipment to our players so that they feel motivated and make our country proud by winning lots of medals rather than complaining that they even didn't get proper medicine if they got hurt while playing. Corruption and nepotism have plagued our country so badly that we need to eradicate that disease completely before organizing such a world class events. Our country has no lack of talent. But what we need is the proper system that promotes and help our youths in improving their skills efficiently.

We can think of hosting the Olympics. After each and every common man feels happy if they get a proper basic infrastructure. Because in our country, there are millions of people living in below poverty line, millions of youth are facing job problems, the number of farmers are going for suicide due to lack of support from govt etc. So, I finally suggest that investing a money for Olymics for one month, we can invest that same money in providing basic infrastructure so that we can save and see the number of peoples living happy.

Yes, we can dream of hosting the Olympics in our country, but we have to look after the infrastructures, security and hospitality, if we can organise events like IPL the Olympic can too be organised, but the difference is that IPL is conducted by the rich people but Olympic by government so government should be corrupt free to organise it in a much better way.

My answer to this question will be a big no.

Although India is capable of organizing, but it will require a huge amount which India can't afford at this point of time.

India lacks stability economically and politically both. We all are familiar with the scam that occurred in 2010 Commonwealth Games. India is a developing country. Instead of spending a huge amount on Olympics, Indian government can use the funds for benefits of our farmers and the citizens of India. Olympics will lead India towards economy slowdown which will lead towards economic crisis. So its better to backout from organising Olympics.

Although our track records in Olympics have been very poor, we must strive for good performance in upcoming Olympics and it should be dream of every Indian to host Olympics. Let's not forget our record of 8 gold medal in Hockey. We need to reorganize our sports culture and promote quality players without nepotism. At the same time, our government needs to make adequate funds available for training and make sure proper use of that fund. We don't lack potential for good performance but we need to pick right players and provide them modern training that will reflect in their performance. At last, I conclude it should be our target to host Olympics and make our place in top 10 countries.

We should not even dream it we are capable enough to host such a big event in our country because we are fastest growing economy in the world if our neighbouring country like china had successfully organised such an event then why we can't. We have sports reach culture with a large number of the youth population. We have great infrastructure, securities, equipment. For example, we successfully organised commonwealth.

Games, cricket world cup, hockey world, kabaddi league, football league in past and much more to come so why dream it we are capable enough.

Yes, we can host Olympics. Because after the bidding process a city gets almost 7 years of time to prepare.

And upgrade its infrastructure. We did arrange the commonwealth games in 2010 successfully.

But from economics perspective should we arrange Olympics?

As we know that India is the fastest growing major economy in the world So India has all the potential to host the Olympics in future. But Major obstacles in this thing is the lack of proper sports facilities and infrastructure.

India is lagging behind in the performance in Olympics because it spends very less amount of its GDP for the National athletics. The main thing India needs to do is to build the sports infrastructure and provide the world-class training and equipment to their national athletes, So for dreaming of hosting the Olympics India have to focus on both the factors.

Yes, in today's situation if other countries are hosting the Olympics then why can't we? Yes, we can say that we are lagging behind in financial status from those countries but now we can dream of hosting the Olympics, as our hon. PM (N. Modi) introduced such a good scheme to make all the black money into white. Demonization is a good step to move towards the removal of corruption and black money.
