According to 2001/2002 Agriculture census, only 58.1 million hectares of land was actually irrigated in India. The total arable land in India is 160 million hectares (395 million acres). According to the World Bank, only about 35% of total agricultural land in India was reliably irrigated in 2010.

Irrigated area means the place which is useful for agriculture, in India our former taking two main crops in which one crops depend on rain and second depend on water sources.
So the area which is irrigated by water sources is called irrigated land. And it right answer is 35%.

The answer is very simple for those who have travelled by train. Whenever you travel by train from one city to another, do you see more buildings or fields? If its a 12 hour journey, you see only fields for eight hours. So the answer is 65 percent.
